Super grateful Performance Equine fit me at the last minute at a recent 3 day barrel race. The team was literally getting ready to pack up for the night and stayed to see my gelding. Dr. Ramstrom was excellent, I was appreciative of the thorough exam as well as the multiple treatment plans presented to me. My gelding is looking and feeling much better. The whole team was lovely from start, to finish, to follow up.

PEVS has been fantastic to work with throughout my mares diagnosis and rehab so far! Dr. Colton is very kind and he always explains things really well. Sara is also very friendly and helpful always! Highly recommended!

My experiences at Performance Equine have always been handled professionally and in a timely fashion. The front desk help, the barn help, the techs, all the staff, and the veterinarians, are all courteous and do their best to help their horse patients and their owners. The facility is clean and top notch with many therapeutic alternatives. My experience with a surgical tooth extraction went very well and horse received kindness even during his post surgery ill manners. I would recommend Performance Equine as a reputable equine facility.

I adopted a rescue Paso in South FL that I fell in love with. I never wanted a horse or even knew anything about horses. When I had to move to Ocala to be a caregiver for a very sick Friend, I found myself with no one to guide me or help me with what my horse needed. The day we were bring her up from S FL she got kicked in the mouth by another horse and split her mouth open. She was given staples to close the hole, well she had the staples out before we got to Ocala. I called an Equine Vet that could come out that day. I was told to wash it out a lot and keep it clean. That’s it! A neighbor recommended someone who could watch my horse when I had to go back home for a few days. Then she told me about a great chiropractor that should look at my horse. She suggested Dr. Burnham. He came out a few times and adjusted her. He was very patient and worked well with my horse, that is afraid of everything. I was telling him that I was a first time horse owner and really didn’t know much about horses, and how I was so intimidated by the way a Vet would take her blood or do a test on her, and I had no idea what all these test showed. Most of the info I would look up on the internet to help her with her problems. My horse has Foundered, she has Cushings and Laminitis.From talking to Dr. Burnham who was very understanding suggested Dr.Lichoa. I called Dr. Lichoa and he came out the next day. He and co workers are the best. I feel like my horse has a real chance now. Everything is totally explained to me and suggests are made about her diet. Dr. Lichoa is a great Doctor and really loves the animals he works with. Even Sara from the office is a delight to talk to. This group really has their act together 💜

I became a client in September after some unfortunate experiences with other vets and so far, my experience has absolutely exceeded my expectations. The entire team has gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care for my horse, and their professionalism, compassion and attention to detail have reassured me that I have found my vet! Dr. Lichoa is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain every step of the process, including me in everything and showing me exactly what he was seeing. I also loved hearing him teach his colleagues and students that were involved. It's so refreshing to see someone prioritize education and include their clients in the plan of care for the horses! Sara has also been amazing! Having an open line of communication with the team was important to me, and Sara always has an answer for me quickly! Also, she's the sweetest! From diagnostics to follow-up, every single member of the team has been prompt, thorough and genuinely friendly and caring. I am so grateful to FINALLY have a trusted team of vets to rely on. Highly recommend to anyone seeking top-notch equine care!
