Our facility has been lauded by our clients as being clean and modern, creating a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for both you and your pet. We believe that a comfortable environment plays a crucial role in reducing stress during veterinary visits. The design of our Pet Hospital prioritizes the safety and well-being of our patients, ensuring a calm and efficient experience. We are equipped with advanced technology to provide the best possible care, from routine check-ups to complex surgical procedures.

At Pennsylvania Animal Wellness and Surgery, we offer a wide array of services to meet the diverse healthcare needs of your pets. Preventative care is the cornerstone of our practice. We provide comprehensive wellness examinations, vaccinations tailored to your pet's lifestyle, parasite prevention, and nutritional counseling to help your furry friends stay healthy and happy throughout their lives. Regular check-ups allow us to monitor your pet's health, detect potential issues early, and provide proactive care to prevent future problems.

One of the key features of our Pet Hospital is our access to advanced diagnostics. As highlighted by our clients, the ability to perform same-day blood work and digital radiography (X-rays) is invaluable in quickly and accurately diagnosing medical conditions. This capability allows our veterinarians to gain critical insights into your pet's health in a timely manner, leading to faster and more effective treatment plans. Our investment in cutting-edge diagnostic equipment underscores our commitment to providing the highest standard of care.

Surgery is another area of expertise at Pennsylvania Animal Wellness and Surgery. Dr. Roman is highly praised for his surgical skills, particularly in performing TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery for dogs with cranial cruciate ligament injuries. The success stories shared by our clients attest to Dr. Roman's expertise and the positive outcomes achieved through surgical intervention at our facility. Our surgical suite is equipped with modern monitoring equipment, and our experienced team ensures the utmost care and attention before, during, and after all surgical procedures.

We understand that pets can experience a wide range of medical issues. Our skilled veterinarians, including Dr. Fowkes, are experienced in diagnosing and managing various medical conditions in both dogs and cats. Dr. Fowkes has been specifically recognized for her empathetic, knowledgeable, transparent, and thorough approach to complex cases, such as chronic vomiting in older cats. Her dedication to comprehensive testing and clear communication ensures that pet owners are well-informed and confident in the treatment plans developed for their beloved animals.

Pennsylvania Animal Wellness and Surgery is also attuned to the unique needs of multi-pet households. We understand the challenges of bringing multiple pets for veterinary visits and strive to make the experience as smooth as possible. Our ability to accommodate simultaneous appointments for multiple pets, as mentioned by one of our clients with four one-year-old cats, demonstrates our commitment to convenience and minimizing stress for both pets and owners.

For pet owners managing behavioral issues, Dr. Fowkes has also been commended for her thoughtful and effective approach. Taking the time to understand the history and context of behavioral challenges, even watching videos provided by the owner, allows for a more accurate assessment and the development of tailored treatment plans, such as the use of anti-anxiety medication when appropriate. This holistic approach to pet wellness, addressing both physical and behavioral health, is a hallmark of our practice.

The convenience of having on-site medications available is another significant benefit for our clients. This eliminates the need to make separate trips to a pharmacy, ensuring that your pet can start their prescribed treatment promptly. Our front office staff is also highly praised for their helpfulness in managing medication refills and answering any questions you may have.

Our entire team, from the front office staff to the veterinary technicians, is committed to providing exceptional client service. The front office staff is described as very helpful with scheduling appointments, addressing medication inquiries, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The veterinary technicians are consistently recognized for their pleasant demeanor, competence, excellent patient care skills, and clear communication with pet owners.

Accessibility is also a priority for Pennsylvania Animal Wellness and Surgery. Our location on 108 Old Rte 30 in Greensburg offers easy access and plenty of parking, making your visits as convenient as possible. We understand that getting your pet to the vet should not be a logistical challenge.

Finally, we are committed to providing high-quality veterinary care at reasonable and comparable costs. Our clients appreciate being well-informed about cost estimates for any additional services, ensuring transparency and no surprises when it comes to the financial aspects of your pet's care. We believe that exceptional veterinary care should be accessible and affordable for our community.

While specific promotional offers may vary throughout the year, our focus remains on providing consistent, high-quality care at fair prices. We encourage you to contact us directly at (724) 577-7297 or +1 724-577-7297 to learn more about our services, schedule an appointment, and inquire about any current promotions that may be available. Very happy to be with this practice! The facility is clean and modern, the access to advanced diagnostics is great and the staff is fantastic. We are crazy cat parents with a clowder of 8, and our 15 y/o male had a sudden decline with his chronic vomiting. Dr. Fowkes is so empathetic, knowledgeable, transparent and thorough with testing. We finally got a diagnosis and treatment plan to manage his symptoms and he's doing so well ❤️‍🩹 They're great for regular well visits, allowing us to bring all 4 1 y/o's together for vaccines/check ups, so no post vet bullying since they all smell the same way 😸 The on-site meds offered are super convenient. A new addition with little backstory was really struggling to integrate, and Dr. Fowkes spent the time to review all the things we had tried and watched a video I had to see what I meant and got our spicy girl started on anti anxiety meds that have been LIFE CHANGING for all of us. My husband's 6 y/o baby girl cat who is never a problem, had a sudden episode and the staff made sure we were seen ASAP. Again, the advanced diagnostics of same day blood work and an X-ray were so reassuring to have. The techs have all been so pleasant and competent, with great patient and communication skills. The front office staff is very helpful, from scheduling to med questions and refills, to checking in and out. The location is very easy to access with plenty of parking and cost is very reasonable and comparable; I have always been well informed about cost estimates for additional services. Can't say thank you enough to Dr. Fowkes and the rest of the team for keeping "the babies" happy and healthy! 💚

UPDATE to my post following their response : So what if I couldn’t find a vet to take my cat that day? She would have died. I’d be the first to understand a phone call to cancel my appointment for a routine visit if it meant saving the life of another pet. I understand not everyone feels that way but I wanted to make it well known this was our experience with your office. I loved PAWS until I called on a Monday morning begging them to perform surgery on my 1 year old cat with a bowel obstruction. The Pittsburgh animal hospital was so overwhelmed with surgery cases that they recommended I call my own vet and transfer her. Pennsylvania Animal Wellness and Surgery said no, they couldn’t. I was heartbroken. They called me a few days later inquiring on the health of my cat. No thanks to them-she’s alive and well. Thankfully I found another emergency vet willing to take her. Needless to say we transferred our care to the best vet ever in North Huntington.

I recently had my Great Dane, Hook, there for an assisted laprascopic gastropexy. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Dr. LAMBERSKI was very personable and knowledgeable. Hook walked out of the clinic the same day and was back to his old self the following day. I was glad that my vet recommended PAWS for this procedure.

Like Dr Ashley a lot . Was referred by my friend Amanda. Glad we came. Our 3 dogs are treated well. Prices are a bit higher than other vets we have been too , so I would give them 4-1/2 stars. But otherwise excellent. Weve had two VERY bad experiences with another vet in Greensburg. They did a surgery on him and did not cut out the tumors that were circled on a photo diagram of my dog and described in detail on his surgery sheet. Literally cut him in other places where no tumors existed. And years ago my other dog who lived till 16 was cut open by a vet for a spay. She was already spayed at 6 months old. I think she was 8?? She was only there for a dental cleaning. Horrible. I’m super critical of care we receive now for sure!!
