Every step of this experience has been incredibly easy and comforting. We had to make the difficult decision to lay our family dog to rest after almost 15 years of having her. We didn’t want to have to pack her up take her anywhere in her old age and fragile health; this veterinary service offered us the comfort to have our dog humanely and peacefully put to rest in the comfort of our own home. We wanted to take this route as to not give our baby girl any anxiety or troubles on her last day of life. We made the decision to have her put to rest about a week prior to the scheduled date of service; I was able to do everything from scheduling to consent, simply via text and email. The doctor came to our home and I instantly felt at ease. She arrived promptly during the expected time that we were given. She gave our family the time we needed to spend with our dog during our last moments together. I never once felt rushed. The doctor was very kind, caring and sympathetic. The process was extremely peaceful and pleasant given the circumstances. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who has to go through this. Thank you so much ❤️

Mar 20, 2025 · Amanda WilsonOne of, if not the, absolute best veterinarian in this area. She brings decades of pet experience, honest and professional exams, price CANNOT be beaten by anyone else. She’s been our veterinarian since she moved to the area and saw over 50 of our rescue dogs. Now, she helps care for our 6 dogs (ages 17 to 2yrs old). She’s straightforward and will not hesitate to fire a nasty entitled client. Veterinarians are one of the highest fields of suicide, so each and every veterinarian should be treated with empathy and respect. She isn’t the “cheap” option, she’s the one you should call BEFORE your pet becomes too ill. She’s had to euthanize my special needs puppy when his seizures became a hazard to his health. She cared for him as his vet since 5 days after his birth and up to the very end with empathy and grace. She’s almost ALWAYS driving, and her time is very valuable in my opinion. Thanks for loving our dogs like your own and for always giving me the feedback I need to make hard decisions and for always being honest with us.
Aug 27, 2023 · Brittany HarryThe doctor came out to my house on Saturday April 26th. She was absolutely wonderful and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend her. I cried and cried and she reassured me that my dog had been suffering. No one likes to see their loved ones and pets suffering. I know my Tonka is in a better place. And I thank the doctor for her time and professionalism. Thank you!
Apr 27, 2025 · Donna MojicaI was in need of a new veterinarian once i moved back to this area. On recommendation from a friend i gave Dr. Commerford a call. I have 2 special needs dogs that mean the world to me and i won't settle when it comes to their care. I am happy to say that Dr. Commerford is amazing. I trust her completely. If you knew me then you would understand how rare it is for me to say that. Thank you Dr. Commerford.
Mar 09, 2024 · Thomas HI found Dr. Commerford's website about a year ago when we started talking euthanasia for our eldest dog. I knew I wanted a home euthanasia and her website/philosophy really resonated with me. I can truly say Dr. Commerford put our dogs best interest above all else. She took the time to listen to our list of concerns and gave her professional opinion based on these concerns and examining our dog. She answered all of our questions, even the hardest one of all: is it really the right time? While I know she could not have told us exactly what to do, both my husband and I trusted her opinion. As I previously mentioned, she had our dog, Tyson's, best interests in mind. I'm a nurse and in the human medical world it is all about interventions and prolonging life for as long as possible no matter how much that person is suffering. I've seen it time and time again. Dr. Commerford mentioned this as well. I knew long before we made this decision that I never wanted to prolong my dogs life just to prolong it. It's the hardest decision I've ever made, but she did an amazing job. Tyson has a long history of anxiety especially around vet offices, but he had no idea what was happening and wasn't nervous at all. We did it outside in his favorite place, sunbathing on his bed. Like her website mentions, we got to say goodbye and thank you, instead of I'm sorry. Tyson went out with dignity and it's what I always wanted for my Ty Ty. We also had him cremated and returned to us - the wooden box with his name, quote, and paw print is beautiful. Thank you Dr. Commerford for your assistance and compassion during such a difficult time.
