Dr Chapman is simply amazing. She's beyond compassionate, and truly cares not only for your pet but for your family that is losing a loved one. We had to unexpectedly put our dog Harlee down, and she came in full of love and care towards our dog, and to us. She made the process so easy and was gentle with Harley the entire time. We truly loved that she was not only open on a Sunday, but came to our home so our dog didn't have to make the stressful ride in the car some place. We highly recommend her.

Dr. Chapman was an incredible ray of light and kindness in an extremely heart-wrenching time. Our 13+ yr old pup, Tali, no longer had a good quality of life and was unable to get up without assistance. She still ate and drank water, but we would have to carry her up and down stairs to use the bathroom as even a ramp would not work for her lack of stability. She was such a special family dog and loved us all with every last bit of her being. Having Dr. Chapman meet us all with compassion and the way that she loved on Tali was invaluable. She ushered her from her painful body to a place of peace, and we’ll be forever grateful. We were able to surround Tali and it seemed as if she were content and ready to move on. We would highly recommend her when the difficult decision must be made.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Chapman. We recently had to say goodbye to our 13-year-old Corgi, Mia. Dr. Chapman’s kind and compassionate care, along with her gentle presence, gave us all — including Mia — so much comfort, and we will be forever grateful. I am so glad we made the choice to do this at home, and that we chose Dr. Chapman and Peaceful Veterinary Care to help Mia in her transition from this world to the next. I wrote the below in honor of Mia. I hope it brings comfort to anyone who is facing the tough decision of saying goodbye to a beloved fur baby. ❤️ *************************** A spoonful of peanut butter helped the medicine go down — and helped this good girl through her final moments. 🐶🥜 As many who met her would agree, Mia was your typical Corgi. Her favorite activities included herding our cats, policing other canines at the dog beach, zooming around the house, and “barking at bee farts,” as my dad so affectionately referred to her love of asserting her presence to all and sundry. My dad called her his “45-pound lapdog,” because as soon as he sat down, she’d make a beeline for his lap, sporting an adoring grin with her tongue lolling to the side, and any crush injuries would be quickly forgiven. My all-time favorite memory was when we hosted a birthday party for my friend’s daughter. My friend had baked an elaborate cake from scratch. Ocean-themed, with beautiful ombré blue frosting, it was adorned with handmade seashells and shiny candy pearls. I bet you can tell where this story is heading, and you’d be right on the money. We had gone outside to watch as my friend’s daughter took her new bike on its maiden voyage, returning inside to find Mia atop the dining room table – an impressive feat for a stubby-legged, 30-pound sausage – greedily devouring my friend’s gorgeous cake with gleeful abandon. Mia always had a thing for food. Wherever there was food, there was Mia. But peanut butter was always one of her favorites, so it was only fitting that Mia would pass with the taste of peanut butter on her tongue. About six months ago, her health began to decline at a shocking pace. She began to lose function in one back leg, and in the blink of an eye it was gone. The vet said it would only get worse. Before we knew it, the other leg was gone, and soon after, her appetite. Some people question whether animals feel emotions. I’m here to tell you they do. I saw her grow tired of dragging herself around by her front legs. I saw the light go out in her eyes. I saw the joyful, vibrant soul inside her crying in devastation from being trapped in a broken body. And I saw how peanut butter would always perk her up, even on her darkest days. So it was only fitting that when we said goodbye yesterday, she was surrounded by the people she’d loved the most, licking a spoonful of peanut butter as she breathed her last. There’s a song I love – “What Sarah Said,” by Death Cab for Cutie. There’s a lyric that goes, “Love is watching someone die.” What better way is there to show your love for someone, than by being beside them in their final moments as they leave this world with joy in their heart and the taste of happiness on their tongue? If, like the movie says, all dogs go to heaven, I like to think it’s stocked with an endless supply of peanut butter. 🌈

Dr. Chapman was an amazing and compassionate guide for us and our dog Sprout during this very difficult time. She took all the time that we, and importantly he, needed to be comfortable. It was as painless and peaceful as this experience could have been. We are so deeply appreciative to Dr. Chapman and give her our highest recommendation.

First I want to say that so many places had bad reviews so I was starting to doubt I would find a company to trust my baby with. Imax passed away in the middle of the night. I read stories about dogs being held for ransom and just bad bad stuff for people to experience after losing their babies. Doctor Chapman was the kindest person to have dealt with during this hard time. She was patient, kind and understanding. And she helped me through the process. Thank you for being a great place to turn to in such a hard time.
