I'D SUGGEST YOU FIND ANOTHER CLINIC...RUNNNNN! I’ve been a loyal client at Payne Ranch Veterinarian Clinic for over 15 years, trusting Dr. Joan with my pets. While Dr. Joan is nice and knowledgeable, today’s experience was ruined by a staff member, Jeannie (or Gennie, not sure of the spelling). What should have been a simple visit for my dog’s shot turned into an uncomfortable political debate. Jeannie insisted on discussing her views on Trump and Biden, and when I tried to steer the conversation back to my dog’s care, she continued to push her personal views. She needed to stay in her place as an employee. Instead of focusing on my dog’s needs, Jeannie kept engaging in the debate, even shouting her unfounded nonsense as I was leaving. It was not only unprofessional but also uncomfortable for everyone in the clinic. When I spoke to Dr. Joan about the situation, I was surprised by her lack of concern. She didn’t apologize for Jeannie’s behavior, instead brushing it off as though it was just her sharing both sides. For me, this is unacceptable. (During the visit, Dr. Joan looked uncomfortable about Jeannie's behavior.) I asked Dr. Joan for the days Jeannie works because I simply don’t want to go through the same thing again. Every time I’m there, Jeannie insists on sharing her views and life history, and I don’t want to be forced into uncomfortable political debates or having to listen to her boring stories about people who I have never even met. I'd rather focus on my pet’s care, but She never stops talking, and it’s clear others in the waiting room feel the same way. At this point, I’m going to another vet. I was a loyal client and spend between $200 to $350 each time I visit. If this unprofessionalism with Jeannie continues, I can’t help but think that Payne Ranch Vet will keep losing clients over it.

Payne Ranch Vet Clinic Introduce
Located at 13890 Peyton Dr STE D, Chino Hills, CA 91709, USA, Payne Ranch Vet Clinic serves as a local option for pet owners seeking veterinary care. The clinic can be reached at (909) 465-0044 or +1 909-465-0044. As a "Pet Hospital" in the local platform category, Payne Ranch Vet Clinic aims to provide a range of services for beloved animal companions, predominantly focusing on canine and feline health.
Payne Ranch Vet Clinic is situated in Chino Hills, making it a convenient choice for residents in the area. One client highlighted its proximity, noting it was only about a five-minute drive from their home, which is a significant advantage for urgent or routine visits. While specific details about the clinic's interior environment (e.g., waiting room size, examination room setup, cleanliness standards) are not extensively detailed in available public information, the clinic is described as a functional "clinic" where pets receive care. Clientele feedback suggests that the clinic can be busy, especially on a Saturday morning, indicating its popularity and steady flow of patients. Despite the potential for busyness, a positive aspect highlighted is the efficiency, with one reviewer stating they were "in and out of there within an hour or so," even during a busy period. This suggests a structured approach to managing patient flow and minimizing wait times where possible.
As a veterinary clinic, Payne Ranch Vet Clinic offers general veterinary services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of pets. Based on client experiences, these services include, but are not limited to, routine check-ups, vaccinations (such as dog shots), and addressing immediate health concerns for both dogs and cats. While one review noted a higher presence of dogs during their visit, the clinic does cater to cats as well. The veterinarian, identified as Dr. Joan, is described as "helpful and knowledgeable," providing thorough answers to client questions. This suggests a commitment to client education and ensuring pet owners are well-informed about their animal's health needs and treatment options. The care provided is characterized as "very considerate, kind, and gentle," which is crucial for making pets comfortable during potentially stressful veterinary visits.
One of the key features of Payne Ranch Vet Clinic, as emphasized by client reviews, is the reasonable pricing of their services. This aspect is a significant draw for pet owners, making quality veterinary care more accessible. The staff, in general, is described as "caring and helpful," contributing to a positive overall experience for many visitors. The veterinarian, Dr. Joan, stands out for her knowledge and pleasant demeanor. The clinic appears to prioritize providing comprehensive answers to pet owners' questions, fostering a sense of trust and transparency.
However, it is important to address a notable concern raised by a long-term client regarding a specific staff member, Jeannie (or Gennie). This individual's alleged unprofessional behavior, including engaging in political discussions and personal anecdotes, has been a source of discomfort for some clients. This feedback suggests an inconsistency in client experience, where the quality of veterinary care from Dr. Joan is highly regarded, but the overall atmosphere can be impacted by staff interactions. This highlights a potential area for improvement in maintaining a consistently professional and comfortable environment for all clients and their pets. Despite this, other positive reviews underscore the clinic's ability to deliver effective and empathetic care when the focus remains solely on the animals' well-being.
While specific promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, the clinic's "reasonable prices" serve as an inherent promotional point, attracting clients who value cost-effective yet quality care. The positive testimonials about the vet's helpfulness, the thoroughness of explanations, and the gentle care provided act as organic endorsements. The clinic's ability to handle a busy Saturday morning while still maintaining a reasonable wait time is also a testament to their operational efficiency, which can be a strong selling point for busy pet owners.
For potential new clients, particularly those with cats, it is worth noting that the clinic may see more canine patients, though they are equipped to handle feline care. The consistency of care from Dr. Joan is a recurring positive theme. The clinic's strong points lie in its knowledgeable veterinary expertise, compassionate approach to animal handling, and affordable pricing structure, which together aim to provide valuable pet care services to the Chino Hills community. Prospective clients are encouraged to experience the clinic's services firsthand to assess if it aligns with their specific pet care needs and expectations.

Mar 21, 2025 · NesWhen we had to take our 2 year old mixed breed cat to the vet, we chose this place because it was a short (about 5 minutes) drive from our house, and we were not disappointed. This is a great clinic. The vet was very helpful, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We went on a Saturday morning, so they were a little busy, but we were in and out of there within an hour or so. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is caring and helpful. The care provided is very considerate, kind, and gentle. If you are interested in taking your cat here, bear in mind that this particular vet serves mostly dogs (at least there were several there when we went). Overall, however, we had an excellent experience and would probably go there again if the need arises. :)
Sep 10, 2016 · Noelle SorensenWe had been taking my cat here for almost 17 years. Dr. Joan, Nueva & Jeanie are amazing caring and so very sweet. My cat was very feisty and difficult to deal with, which would stress me out, but they are so kind and calm me to know my girl was in good hands. Unfortunately we lost her almost a month ago after 18 years and Joan was there to make things as easy as possible. Such love and care they showed us. I consider them my friends and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and you too will be happy with them.
Mar 13, 2019 · BooknuttSecond occurrence in which the service was horrible. I am finishing up my puppies vaccinations and this is the second time in which I am waiting for over 45min (after appointment time) to have my puppy seen. No prior notification/no updates/no follow up. After 46 min of waiting I finally called the front desk and the excuse that was given to me was that my number on file was incorrect. How funny... I have visited this place three times and in all instances I was contacted no issues; the consistent lack of service/poor customer experience is the reason I gave up on this place. A simple call to apologize for the wait was all I needed; my puppies final round of shot(s) will be in August; the last time I visit this place. Please try avoiding this place if you can. I will try chino hills animal hospital and pet resort.
Jul 28, 2020 · William L.I have been taking my Doxies to this clinic for years. The care is excellent and compassionate. The team recently saved the life of my Doxie-Bebee, and I am so grateful. Bebee had a hemorrhagic entercolites. The prices are reasonable and they love these little patients. Could not say enough!
