They used to be the best in town. Been going here for a decade. They gave discounts for rescued animals. Now prices have practically tripled, and quality of service has gone down. The amount of animals we have has made this clinic unaffordable. Picked up a cat and was told “male cats have a strong odor about them”. No, the cat was soaked in its own pee. Legs literally saturated. That’s not an odor... the cat urinated on itself. Should have known something was up when the cat was already in the carrier and that was what was told at pickup.

One of the key aspects of any Pet Hospital is the environment it provides. We aim to create a welcoming and stress-free atmosphere for your pets. We encourage you to contact us directly or visit our clinic to experience our facilities firsthand.

The services offered at Parkway Veterinary Clinic are likely to encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care. Typically, a Pet Hospital provides services such as:

Preventative Care: This includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control (flea, tick, and heartworm prevention), and nutritional counseling. These services are essential for maintaining your pet's long-term health and preventing potential health issues.

Diagnostics: When your pet is unwell, accurate diagnosis is crucial. Veterinary clinics often offer diagnostic tools such as laboratory testing (blood work, urine analysis, etc.), digital radiography (X-rays), and ultrasound to help identify the underlying cause of illness.

Medical Treatment: This covers the management of various medical conditions, including infections, allergies, endocrine disorders, and more. Our veterinarians are trained to provide appropriate medical care tailored to your pet's specific needs.

Surgical Services: Many Pet Hospitals offer surgical procedures, ranging from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Information regarding the specific surgical capabilities of Parkway Veterinary Clinic would be best obtained by contacting the clinic directly.

Dental Care: Dental health is an often overlooked but vital aspect of your pet's overall well-being. Services may include dental cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments.

Emergency Care: While the provided information doesn't explicitly detail emergency services, it's common for veterinary clinics to offer care for urgent medical situations during their operating hours. It's advisable to inquire about their emergency protocols.

Other Potential Services: Depending on the clinic's specialization and resources, they might also offer services like microchipping, behavioral counseling, and geriatric care.

Features of Parkway Veterinary Clinic likely include a team of qualified veterinary professionals, including veterinarians and veterinary technicians, who are dedicated to animal welfare. The mention of Dr. Schneider in a positive customer review highlights the compassionate and thorough care provided by at least one of the clinic's veterinarians. The review also praises the excellent customer service and the caring nature of the technicians, suggesting a client-focused approach.

However, it's important to acknowledge all available feedback. One customer review expresses concerns about price increases and a perceived decline in service quality over time. This feedback mentions a specific incident regarding the condition of a cat at pickup, raising questions about the level of attention to detail in certain situations. It's crucial to consider all perspectives when evaluating a service provider. We encourage potential clients to discuss any concerns directly with the clinic to gain a better understanding of their current practices and address any potential issues.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given data. Typically, veterinary clinics might offer promotions such as discounts on initial exams for new clients, vaccination packages, or seasonal specials. To learn about any current promotions at Parkway Veterinary Clinic, we recommend contacting them directly via phone at (217) 670-1776 or mobile phone at +1 217-670-1776.

In summary, Parkway Veterinary Clinic, located in Springfield, IL, operates as a Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary services. While one customer review praises the kindness and compassion of Dr. Schneider and the technicians, along with excellent customer service, another review raises concerns about recent price increases and a perceived decline in service quality. We encourage local users to consider all available information and contact the clinic directly to discuss their pet's specific needs and to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current services and environment at Parkway Veterinary Clinic. Visiting the clinic in person can also provide valuable insight into their facilities and approach to animal care.

Absolutely love Dr Snyder. He is very caring, gentle and honest. He doesn't push extraordinary measures but provides info on all options and how he would proceed if he was caring for his own pet. I trust him completely. Thank you Dr Snyder!

The only place I will take my fur babies. Loving, caring, helpful understanding and a vet that is 100% in it to care for animals. Plus they dont break you for the care yet still give care above and beyond. I cannot give enough stars for this vet and his team. My baby chilling after her vet trip. They are so good she loves her transport carrier even when not going anywhere.
