  • Complete Medical Care: This includes routine examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and management of chronic conditions. They focus on overall wellness programs for both puppies/kittens and adult/senior pets.
  • Surgical Care: The clinic performs various surgical procedures, ensuring pets receive necessary interventions. They emphasize safe surgical practices.
  • Dental Care: A strong focus is placed on pet dental health, with services including comprehensive teeth cleaning, general dental procedures, and basic extractions. One client review specifically praises their "great job" with teeth cleaning and extractions, noting "very reasonable prices."
  • Radiology: Diagnostic imaging services are available to aid in accurate diagnoses for internal issues or injuries.
  • Boarding: For pet owners who need to leave their animals, boarding services are offered, with the requirement that pets have a collar.
  • Pet Supplies: The clinic also provides access to various pet supplies, likely including prescription diets or necessary medications.
  • Preventive Care: This is a core component, with services like vaccinations, parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworms), and microchipping.
  • Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling: Guidance is offered to pet owners on appropriate diets and managing behavioral challenges.
  • Pharmacy Services: An on-site or online pharmacy provides convenient access to prescribed medications.

Distinguishing Features and Client Experiences

Oneta Animal Care presents itself as a compassionate and thorough veterinary practice. One notable feature highlighted by a positive review is the accessibility and dedication of the veterinary staff, with a client reporting that the vet himself called back to thoroughly explain things, demonstrating a commitment to client education and follow-up. The pricing for services like dental care has also been positively noted as "very reasonable." The clinic also offers specific wellness programs for puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats, indicating a structured approach to preventive care.

However, an objective review of client experiences reveals a mixed sentiment. While one client praised the dental work and responsive communication, another detailed a significantly negative experience concerning nail trimming and anal gland expression. This client reported their dog's nails were cut "extremely short," leading to bleeding and limping for several days, and that the dog's rear was "very red and swollen" after the anal gland expression. This review suggests that while Oneta Animal Care strives for comprehensive care, consistency in certain routine procedures or the handling of sensitive tasks might be an area for improvement. The disparity in experiences underscores the importance of communication and meticulous care in all aspects of veterinary service.

I took my dog in to get simple tasks done. Her nails trimmed and anal glands expressed. I specifically asked them not to cut her nails too short as her quick’s were longer than normal. When they were done with all the things, her nails were extremely short way shorter than they should’ve been. She was bleeding and she was in so much pain she was limping for the next couple days after. Also, her behind/butt was very red and swollen, I would assume from anal gland expression. I have never had this bad of an experience from a vet office ever. I took my dog here because it was closer to us than her normal broken arrow one and I have heard good things. Definitely never taking her back I’d rather drive extra miles to her normal vet if it means I won’t have to worry about this incident happening again.

They are excellent! Had to take my senior dog for tooth extractions and I was so worried but she is home safe and happy now. All the vet techs here are so sweet and reassuring, perfect for an anxious pet owner like me. Their prices are also a relief! Thank you so much Dr Bremer and Andie especially!

Our furbaby (furbabies) have been seen by both doctors and both are extremely knowledgeable, take the time to listen to our concerns, describe options for treatment, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. At our latest visit, we met a young lady working there who is in college and planning to become a veterinarian. Working alongside such a wonderful crew, I have no doubts she will realize her dream and be an amazing vet.
