These folks are the best!! I live alone with my service dog Axel and he鈥檚 my best friend and my other half. We were transferred to OVS from urgent care after he accidentally swallowed a fish hook. Dr. Ball was so kind and helpful explaining exactly what his options were, and after a scope failed because he had too many pieces of chewbone in his stomach, she had him in and out of surgery in only about forty five minutes. She talked to me on the phone at 1:30 am to let me know he was safely out of surgery so I could finally stop worrying, and he got excellent overnight care. He鈥檚 recovered so far without a single complication or issue, and I can鈥檛 thank OVS enough 馃槶

Nobody likes to see their pet in pain. When orthopedic surgery was needed for our dog, Nyx, this wonderful practice took excellent care of him (and us!) from the pre-op explanations, to the procedure itself, to the successful rehab period. We live in Fort Smith, and they coordinated with our vet here to get optimal results for our sweet boy! Five stars, you guys. Five stars.

We have a beagle, Lucy, that visited OVS's ER a few years ago having seizures. She was quickly diagnosed and treated for an autoimmune meningitis. Since then Dr. Nestor (internist at OVS) has seen Lucy regularly for maintenance treatment that has prevented relapse (which can happen with that condition). His team is fantastic. Always responsive and loving to Lucy, who can be very shy and anxious at the vet. Dr. Nestor and his team are all so sweet with her :) Recently, Lucy started having hind leg lameness/paralysis and severe back pain. She was diagnosed with a ruptured disc in her back that was causing 60% compression of her spinal cord. The ER doctors that saw her (Hodges and Freije) were compassionate and took such great care of her. There was a male tech (maybe Tom) in the ER yesterday morning that was also so sweet. Her diagnoses ultimately required surgery that was performed yesterday by Dr. Shultz (and I believe Dr. Ricker). They were also fantastic and their nurses were also great (especially Jana). They were communicative, called me several times with updates, etc. Lucy is resting comfortably and so happy to be home. Yesterday was a scary day and the entire team at OVS was so amazing with their love and care of our sweet Lucy. The overnight ICU nurse updated me as well and encouraged me to call back any time if I wanted an update. As expected, we had to pay ahead of time for the estimated costs of her surgery and ICU overnight care. When we picked her up today, they informed us that they didn't use the entire prepaid amount (that had some contingencies built in). Thus, we got about 20% refunded that we paid in advance. We appreciate that OVS was a good steward of the money we paid and only spent what was necessary. Dealing with a sick pet is emotionally difficult and expensive, but OVS has been really great to us and Lucy and we can't thank them enough! (pictures are of healthy Lucy before her back problems and now resting comfortably in her crate post surgery).

Had to take our old girl (12 years) in oh 1 am this morning . She fell off the stairs to help getting into bed. Must have landed on her chin or something on her head. Severe neck pain. They evaluated her. Gave her a pot shot haha same stuff we give cancer patients. 15 min she was sleeping on the cold stone floor. Sent home with a 2 week supply of 3 meds and instructions. The team all were caring and felt did a good job. And price not bad for a 24 hour place. I generally add 100% more than going to your vet because generally this is life n death time to take your pet in. Not wait till 8am. All this was 270. And worth it and she is resting. First time in 3 days. Thank you all for taking good care of miss Oakley.

We brought our fur baby to them and they were able to diagnosis what was wrong and give us options. We ended up having to put him to sleep. They were so respectful during that time. I will recommend them to other. Thank you OVS for your compassion and caring during the hard time of letting our fur baby go.
