We absolutely love Dr Morgan. The problem is the rude receptionist. She's mean and condiseding. We left Town and Country to go Dr Morgan, but unfortunately after the way we've been treated on several occasions we are going back. We have 4 dogs so I'd say finically that's a pretty big loss to a small local business.

Based on available information, the Ohio Valley Animal Care Center aims to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. While specific details about the clinic's ambiance and facilities are not explicitly mentioned, a positive and friendly atmosphere is often a hallmark of a well-regarded Pet Hospital. Cleanliness, organization, and a calming environment are crucial for reducing stress in animals during their visit. We encourage you to contact the center directly or visit their premises to experience their environment firsthand.
The services offered at Ohio Valley Animal Care Center likely encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care. These typically include preventative care such as annual physical examinations, vaccinations tailored to your pet's lifestyle, parasite prevention (including heartworm, flea, and tick control), and nutritional counseling. Early detection and preventative measures are key to maintaining your pet's long-term health and quality of life.
In addition to preventative care, a comprehensive Pet Hospital like Ohio Valley Animal Care Center should also offer diagnostic services to identify and address health issues promptly. These may include in-house laboratory testing (such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams), digital radiography (X-rays) to visualize internal structures, and potentially ultrasound for more detailed imaging. Accurate and timely diagnosis is crucial for effective treatment planning.
For pets requiring surgical intervention, the Ohio Valley Animal Care Center likely provides a range of surgical services. This can include routine procedures like spaying and neutering, as well as more complex soft tissue surgeries. The availability of advanced surgical capabilities may vary, and it is advisable to inquire directly about the specific surgical services offered.
Furthermore, the center may offer dental care services, recognizing the importance of oral health in overall pet well-being. Dental cleanings, extractions, and other dental procedures may be available to help prevent periodontal disease and maintain your pet's healthy teeth and gums.
Based on customer reviews, the Ohio Valley Animal Care Center has received both positive and negative feedback. One review highlights the exceptional care provided by a specific veterinarian, Dr. Morgan, praising her treatment of the pet as if it were her own and her collaborative approach regarding pricing. This suggests a commitment to providing quality medical care and working with pet owners on financial considerations.
However, another review expresses dissatisfaction with the receptionist, describing her as rude and condescending. This feedback is important for the management of Ohio Valley Animal Care Center to address, as front office staff play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a smooth experience for clients. The reviewer also mentioned leaving another veterinary practice to seek Dr. Morgan's care but ultimately deciding to return to their previous clinic due to the negative interactions with the receptionist, highlighting the significant impact of customer service on client retention.
It is important to consider all feedback when evaluating a service provider. While the positive review emphasizes the quality of veterinary care and the doctor's compassion, the negative review points to an area that may need improvement in terms of customer service. Potential clients may want to consider this feedback alongside their own interactions with the clinic staff.
To further understand the features of Ohio Valley Animal Care Center, it would be beneficial to inquire about their facilities, equipment, and the expertise of their entire veterinary team. A well-equipped Pet Hospital with experienced and compassionate staff is essential for providing high-quality care. You may also want to ask about their appointment scheduling procedures, emergency care protocols, and any specific areas of expertise they may have.
Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided in the given data. However, many Pet Hospitals often offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions for specific services (like dental cleanings in February or heartworm prevention in the spring), or wellness packages that bundle essential preventative care services at a discounted rate. It is recommended to contact Ohio Valley Animal Care Center directly to inquire about any current promotions or special offers that may be available to new or existing clients.
In conclusion, the Ohio Valley Animal Care Center in Moundsville, WV, as a local Pet Hospital, aims to provide a range of veterinary services to ensure the health and well-being of your pets. Customer feedback suggests that the quality of veterinary care, particularly from Dr. Morgan, is highly regarded. However, there is also feedback indicating a need for improvement in front office customer service. Nov 05, 2024 · Steve GatesVery friendly staff. Made room to get my dog in to make sure he gets the help he needs. They explain everything thoroughly and have made sure I’m okay with everything they are needing to do. Dr treated him as he was her own which really makes you more comfortable. Also works very well with you when it comes to pricing. Wouldn’t want to take my dog anywhere else!

Jan 05, 2023 · VictoriaI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET!!! For some reason leaving a comment says you recommend this place which is probably why it has so many recommendations but PLEASE if you love your pet read my experiences with this place below. Scheduled an appointment with this vet because of the ratings and the fact every local vet was scheduling out over three months. Waited 2.5 months when Jamie the very harsh and rude scheduler called on the day of our visit to reschedule the appointment for for a month later saying the vet decided to go on vacation. Again when I expressed concern but Jamie was extremely rude and told me to go somewhere else. Knowing I couldn’t get in anywhere else sooner I reluctantly waited. The day before the appointment, which was yesterday, my dog while being rushed to an emergency vet in Pittsburgh died of bloat due to his stomach issues. My wife called the vet this morning to tell them our dog had died while waiting for 3.5 months for them to see him and again Jamie was very rude and promised to refund $55 they requested to set the appointment originally. Jamie agreed to refund the money but didn’t until I called to ask to speak to an office manager or the vet because she needed my credit card number to initiate the refund. That alone should raise red flags to anyone considering this vet office. She told me there was zero chance of speaking to the vet or anyone else and that it’s not their fault because they hadn’t seen the dog. When I told her he died because they never honored his appointment so the vet could go on vacation she again became confrontational and rude saying the vet never went on vacation at all but contacted Covid a week later so whoever told me that was a liar when in fact it was her. Throughout this entire ordeal Jamie is the only person I spoke with. If this vet is any good at all and had honored the original appointment I believe my dog would still be alive. His problems were common but required prescription medication. I very rarely leave reviews, good or bad, but I feel I owe it to my deceased Chow Chow named Mushu to tell others that love their pets as much as he was loved, ( and if you read this very long review up to this point I’m sure you do), that had I followed my instinct when Jamie was rude in the beginning and just waited a couple weeks longer for a different vet by beloved pet would still be alive. In the end all I have left is several calls to a rude, argumentative and angry female named Jamie that also tried to keep my appointment deposit, and a dead pet which I loved dearly.
Oct 31, 2022 · Myron NottinghamI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET!I would give 0 stars if I could. Have been using them for over 20 years. When my dog was really sick they wouldn't do emergency visit because I hadn't been there in over a year. I had appt for 9/4 and they said they could see her then. I called on 8/26! She was in renal failure and would have died . When I said I would have to find a new vet she sweetly said "OK" I can't believe that they had no compassion. Will never go back! The vet I contacted and never saw before got my girl in next day and she had to stay in hospital for 3 days.
