Oak Hill Animal Hospital

I started using Oak Hill about a year ago when I adopted a stray that I found (Freyja) Since then I gradually moved my other 2 dogs there as well. This is Juliette pictured here. I absolutely love the staff. They're always very patient and listen but they don't sugar coat things either. Today was Juliettes intake. She has some vet trauma since she was spayed and she gets a little growly with the vet techs. They took their time getting to know her, giving her treats, and she warmed up to them quickly. Even told me I can bring her for happy visits sometimes just to say hi and get her used to the setting without it being scary. I just really appreciate their care. Highly recommend them 💙

The vet techs are friendly but the veterinarian herself has no bedside manner at all and incredibly rude. She never listened to my concerns the first time around and didn’t start listening to me and my concerns until I kept having to bring her back for follow up appointments. my cat was dying from cancer and decided I didn’t want to go to a vet clinic who I know wouldn’t have shown my sweet baby or I any compassion when putting her down. Fast forward to this year, they only send us emails about their shop and what to buy from it and yet no yearly reminder was sent out for our other cat, who was supposed to have her yearly check up in September. I don’t recommend this vet to anyone.

Just wanted to thank the staff for their kindness and help with our ferret Chewie. He came in at the end of his life with a large mass in his abdomen. He had quit eating and drinking the day before. The staff made a hard decision earlier for our family. We were able to be present and hold him as he crossed over the rainbow bridge. We received a sympathy card with his paw print a week later than was signed by all the staff. I can not thank you enough!!

This place is WONDERFUL!! We took our ferret there for her first visit and I was really impressed by everyone there! The staff are sweet, polite & they all seem like they really care about the critters!! Dr. Mac is thorough, gentle & I appreciated her not putting our baby through unnecessary tests! We’ll definitely be using them for all of our animals!

Oak Hill Animal Hospital has been great to us! Fourth of July weekend our dog, Sitka, got a puncture wound in her paw from swimming in the lake. When we realized that she would need stitches, we called around and ended up at Oak Hill. Once we arrived at the office, the staff were waiting at the door, ready to help us! The doctor and staff were so incredibly kind and informative. With it being an emergency situation, we knew it would be costly, but Oak Hill was upfront and not pushy with the treatment plan. It’s now been two weeks since Sitka’s accident; stitches have been removed, and she is back to normal! Thank you Oak Hill Animal Hospital staff for your services. I will DEFINITELY be recommending y’all to everyone we know!
