My baby girl Jasper had officially hit her double digits and I knew she was due for a senior check up. I hadn’t found a vet yet in the area that I trusted but I decided to give this place a try. I was blown away by the level of care and service offered here! The front staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. You can also just tell there is a real love and passion for the animals among the veterinarians and staff. I wanted to pursue a dental cleaning for Jasper, and during the pick up process they went on about small details like her unique meow and her personality and how great she did! That reassured me so much that she was with people that see her as the same special little kitty I see. Communication is absolutely fantastic and I was getting clear calls and instructions for caring for my girl every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience 💕 Jasper is being super affectionate the day after her dental cleaning, so I bet she’s happy to have received this level of care too!!

I recently lost my beloved cat, DJ (May 12, 2006 - February 5, 2025) after 18-1/2 wonderful years. I really appreciate Dr. Moore, Dr. Lane and the staff of the exceptional care they have provided during DJ's life. Their compassion, kindness, professionalism and support will never be forgotten.

Brought my son-cat, Sullivan, here to treat a rodent ulcer. He needed several in-person treatments so I had many interactions with the staff in person and over the phone and they are all so kind. Very caring, personable, and professional staff! We have lived in the area only a short time. Unfortunately our past vet was too far of a drive but it was a blessing in disguise because Oak Forest is the best! I am delighted to find such a wonderful vet so close home. I cannot recommend them enough! Sullivan loves Dr. Schaack!

This review is long overdue, as I have been going to Oak Forest Vet Hospital since I moved back from Austin 5 years ago. In the entire time I have been taking my pets there, the staff and veterinarians have been both personable and professional.They will be upfront about any issues your animal might be having, but don't ever push unnecessary procedures just for the sake of it. The front office staff is always happy to see your animals when you come in. Along with the amazing staff, the pricing of services at OFVH have been a relief the entire time I have been going there. At my previous vet the cost for basic vaccinations and exams was a gut punch to my wallet every time, yet even when I have a laundry list of items to take care of now the final cost at checkout is always more than reasonable. Thanks again to all the staff at Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital for all you do. Keep up the good work!

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here. I moved away for a while but am back in the area. My poor girl dog had a UTI, and I made the mistake of googling costs and was VERY concerned about the cost especially since we are still recovering from a hurricane. To my surprise the visit was VERY affordable. I wanted to cry honestly, as this month has been a financial night mare. Along with that my dog loved everyone she met at the clinic today, to the point I was almost jealous that she was more excited for them to come in and out of the room! Both the vet tech and Vet were super sweet, and explained everything so well. Appreciate the help today Oak Forest!
