Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital Introduce
Welcome to the local introduction of Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital, a long-standing pet hospital situated at 2303 Schrock Rd, Columbus, OH 43229, USA. As a member of the Pet Hospital category, Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital offers veterinary care services to the local community. They can be contacted at (614) 890-9700 or their mobile number +1 614-890-9700.
Based on the limited customer feedback available, experiences with Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital appear to be varied. One long-term customer expresses strong loyalty, stating they have been bringing their pets to this facility for 20 years and commend the entire staff as "kind, compassionate and thorough." This positive review suggests a history of reliable and caring service, building trust with pet owners over an extended period.
However, other, more recent feedback presents significant concerns regarding the administrative and communicative aspects of the hospital. One reviewer specifically points out issues with the reception staff, stating a lack of communication with other team members. Another customer recounts a frustrating experience involving lost paperwork (both physical and faxed medical records) and a perceived lack of professionalism, including being blamed for the loss and feeling derided by the receptionist. This individual ultimately concluded that the negative interaction was not worth the inconvenience of bringing a pet to the clinic, especially with other veterinary options available.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, local users should be aware of both the potential for long-term positive relationships with the veterinary staff and potential challenges in administrative processes and communication, particularly with the reception area, based on the available reviews. The positive review speaks to the quality of care provided by the broader staff, while the negative reviews highlight areas that may require improvement in terms of organizational efficiency and customer service at the front desk.
Due to the limited scope of the provided reviews, a comprehensive understanding of the environment, services, and features of Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital is challenging to ascertain definitively. However, we can infer some aspects based on the category (Pet Hospital) and the nature of the feedback:
- Environment: The positive long-term review suggests an environment where at least some members of the staff are perceived as kind and compassionate, contributing to a positive experience for this customer over two decades. The negative reviews do not directly comment on the physical environment of the clinic itself.
- Services: As a Pet Hospital, Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of standard veterinary services. The positive review, spanning 20 years, implies consistent access to necessary pet care, though the specific types of services utilized are not mentioned. We can reasonably assume they provide general check-ups, vaccinations, treatments for illnesses, and potentially surgical procedures. However, without more detailed information or a service list, the full scope of their offerings remains unknown.
- Features: A potential feature, based on the positive review, is a long-standing team that has fostered trust and loyalty with some clients through their kindness, compassion, and thoroughness. Conversely, a potential negative feature, highlighted by the more recent reviews, could be inconsistencies in administrative processes and communication, particularly concerning the reception staff.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital within the provided text. Local users interested in learning about any special offers, new patient discounts, or specific service packages would need to contact the hospital directly via phone or in person.
In conclusion, Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has served some clients for many years, earning their trust through perceived kindness and thoroughness. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with reception staff communication and administrative efficiency, leading to negative experiences for some pet owners. Local users considering Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital should weigh these contrasting experiences. It may be beneficial to contact the hospital directly to inquire about their services, appointment procedures, and any measures they have in place to ensure clear communication and efficient handling of patient information. Visiting the clinic to assess the environment and interact with staff firsthand could also provide valuable insights before making a decision regarding your pet's care.

Oct 12, 2024 · Amy NewsomeWho ever they have doing reception now is absolutely not communicating with the other people on staff. I was told they would call me back and to fill out paperwork. I did. Then I decided to follow up after a few weeks since it wasn’t urgent and the woman on the phone had lost both my paperwork & the faxed medical work. Then she blamed it on me and derided me. It’s not worth being insulted to take a pet to the vet. There are plenty to choose from.
Mar 04, 2025 · Melissa FullerGreat friendly, caring and career pationent people. Great prices for the services provided. Clean environment. We recommend them to everyone we know. Our whole family uses them for our animal family members.
Jan 13, 2025 · Kevin BrewerI used to take my pets here, I adopted a couple new rescue dogs, I called to get them in, the woman explained that it would be a week before they could be seen, no problem, she said I could bring in the records and they would make copies and get the process started, I took the paperwork in today, the woman I encountered was less than cordial, saying over 30 days before they could be seen, and she didn't have time to make copies, I would have to leave my papers, ( A lot of personal information ) I even explained to her what I was told although there was two women just sitting there. She definitely needs to work on her condiscending attitude and people skills, way too many other places to go......
Oct 24, 2024 · Randy. R.My family and our dogs have been going to the Nelsons for all of my 40+ year life, if that says anything. They are always kind and compassionate. They are so knowledgeable and explain things clearly. They are thorough in every examination and maybe more so, which is very appreciated! They have accommodated me in a few emergency situations, including very recently (thank you Chelsea)! They go above and beyond and take the greatest care of my dogs (and us)! The people that work with them, from the front desk to the techs and the new(er) vets are just as awesome. I could not recommend them more. We LOVE Oak Creek!
