We brought one of our cats to them for an issue with a bleeding pad on her foot. They treated her and within hours she died. They did an autopsy but cannot tell us what caused her death. She was 10 years old and healthy other than her foot and some raw patches on her belly due to allergies and licking. They will of course not place any blame on themselves. I had to ask for a refund, since they didn't even offer. Imagine if a doctor poisoned one of your children and then couldn't tell you what happened. Ridiculous. Stay away.

O C Veterinary Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in Singapore searching for a "Pet Hospital Near Me" to provide comprehensive care for their beloved animals, it's essential to consider various factors when choosing a veterinary practice. Examining the experiences of customers at pet hospitals elsewhere can offer valuable insights into the level of care, professionalism, and overall service one might expect. This detailed introduction explores O C Veterinary Hospital, located at 1761 NY-17M, Goshen, NY 10924, USA, based on publicly available customer reviews. Although this specific hospital is geographically distant from Singapore, the contrasting feedback regarding its environment, services, and features can provide useful benchmarks for evaluating local pet hospitals in Singapore.
One customer shared a deeply distressing experience involving the care of their cat at O C Veterinary Hospital. They brought their 10-year-old cat in for a bleeding pad on her foot. The cat, described as otherwise healthy except for the foot issue and some allergy-related skin irritation, was treated at the hospital and, tragically, died within hours. The hospital performed an autopsy but reportedly could not determine the cause of death. The reviewer expressed significant grief and frustration, particularly noting the hospital's apparent lack of accountability and the need for the customer to request a refund, which was not offered proactively. The reviewer drew a stark comparison to medical malpractice involving human patients, emphasizing the gravity of their negative experience and strongly advising others to "stay away." This review highlights the critical importance of trust and clear communication between pet owners and veterinary professionals, especially when dealing with serious health issues and unexpected outcomes. For pet owners in Singapore, ensuring that their chosen "Pet Hospital Near Me" has a reputation for transparency, empathy, and a commitment to understanding and explaining medical situations is paramount.
In stark contrast to the negative review, another long-term customer shared an overwhelmingly positive experience spanning several decades. This reviewer stated that Dr. Shanker, Pam, and the entire staff have "always gone above and beyond" for their pets, who have been patients at O C Veterinary Hospital since 1973. This longevity of patronage suggests a consistent level of care and trust built over many years. The reviewer specifically praised the kindness, professionalism, and friendliness of everyone at the hospital, acknowledging their support through both "happy and sad times" in their pets' lives. They also expressed appreciation for the staff's "level of commitment and compassion." This positive review highlights the importance of a veterinary hospital fostering a caring and supportive environment, where staff are not only competent but also empathetic and dedicated to the well-being of their animal patients and their owners. For pet owners in Singapore, finding a "Pet Hospital Near Me" with a reputation for compassionate and long-standing service can provide peace of mind.
Based on these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive overall picture of O C Veterinary Hospital. One review describes a devastating outcome and perceived lack of accountability, while the other praises the long-term commitment and compassionate care provided by the staff. This stark difference in experiences underscores the importance of considering multiple perspectives and potentially seeking additional information when evaluating a veterinary practice. It also highlights that even long-established practices can have varying outcomes and customer experiences.
The provided information does not offer details about the environment of O C Veterinary Hospital, the specific services they provide beyond general treatment and autopsy, any unique features of the practice, or any promotional information. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive description of these aspects based solely on the given text.
For pet owners in Singapore searching for a "Pet Hospital Near Me," the contrasting experiences at O C Veterinary Hospital highlight several key considerations when making this important decision:
- Reputation and Reviews: It is crucial to seek out and consider multiple reviews from various sources to gain a balanced understanding of a pet hospital's reputation and the experiences of other pet owners. Look for trends and patterns in feedback.
- Communication and Transparency: A good veterinary hospital should prioritize clear and empathetic communication with pet owners, especially in difficult situations. They should be willing to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and potential outcomes thoroughly and address any concerns.
- Compassion and Professionalism: The staff should demonstrate both professional competence and genuine compassion for animals and their owners. A supportive and caring environment can make a significant difference during stressful times.
- Accountability and Follow-Up: In cases of unexpected outcomes, a responsible veterinary practice should be willing to review the situation, communicate openly with the pet owner, and address any concerns or questions.
- Range of Services: While not detailed for O C Veterinary Hospital, consider the range of services offered by a "Pet Hospital Near Me" in Singapore, such as routine check-ups, vaccinations, surgery, diagnostics, emergency care, and specialized treatments, based on your pet's needs.
- Environment and Facilities: A clean, well-maintained, and equipped facility can contribute to the quality of care. Consider visiting potential pet hospitals in Singapore to assess their environment.
- Staff Qualifications and Experience: Inquire about the qualifications and experience of the veterinarians and support staff at a "Pet Hospital Near Me" in Singapore.
In conclusion, the limited information available on O C Veterinary Hospital presents a mixed picture. The stark contrast between a deeply negative experience and decades of positive care underscores the complexity of evaluating veterinary services. For pet owners in Singapore seeking a "Pet Hospital Near Me," it is advisable to conduct thorough research, read multiple reviews, and potentially visit clinics in person to assess their environment, meet the staff, and understand their approach to patient care and communication.
