Dr. Nygard has been our veterinarian for more than 10 years and we couldn't be happier with the service we receive. She is compassionate and takes the time to listen to our concerns. She's not the kind of doctor to go for the most expensive option for your pet if something low-tech or "old fashioned " would work just as well. On the other hand, she knows her limitations and will readily refer you to another practice or specialist if need be.

Many have praised Dr. Nygard's compassionate demeanor and her willingness to invest the necessary time to truly listen to their concerns. This patient-first approach fosters a trusting relationship between the veterinarian, the pet, and the owner, which is crucial for effective and holistic veterinary care.

One of the distinguishing features highlighted by clients is Dr. Nygard's sensible and cost-effective approach to treatment. Unlike some practices that might immediately recommend the most expensive or high-tech options, Dr. Nygard is known for considering practical, "low-tech," or even "old-fashioned" solutions if they are just as effective. This ensures that pet owners receive quality care without unnecessary financial burden, making comprehensive veterinary services more accessible to the community. This pragmatic outlook, however, does not diminish the quality of care; rather, it speaks to a seasoned professional's ability to assess situations and recommend the most appropriate course of action for the individual pet's needs and the owner's circumstances.

Furthermore, Dr. Nygard demonstrates a strong ethical commitment to her patients by recognizing her own limitations. Clients appreciate that she is ready and willing to refer pets to other specialists or practices when a case requires expertise beyond her scope. This ensures that pets always receive the most specialized and advanced care necessary for complex conditions, highlighting a network of trusted referrals for comprehensive health management.

Dr. Nygard is a skilled, observant and caring veterinarian. The office is clean and the staff is great as well. Her prices are reasonable and treatments are thorough. The colleagues she refers patients to for services outside the scope of her practice are also top notch. Highly recommend!

She's been our Vet since we moved to Templeton in 2001. Great with both cats and dogs, her love for animals is obvious. Even though we moved 20+ minutes away in 2017, we still go to her only. Costs are very reasonable.
