I’m not sure why there have been some reviews with less than 5 stars lately, but I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with Northshore. I have three kitties that I’ve brought here, and every visit has been great. This may be partly because of the lack of professionalism at my previous vet, but I really appreciate how we can stay in the examination room with our cats during their appointments. Everyone who works here is incredibly nice, understanding, and professional. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone! Their hours are also super convenient; they’re open every day and later than most other clinics.

Will not come back to this vet again. My cat has skin issue, so we brought him in to check. The vet was not able to diagnosis what’s wrong so recommended us to do a comprehensive blood test. I paid $436 during that visit. The receptionist told me the results will be available in 3 days, and I will receive a call from the doctor. After a week, I still haven’t not heard back the results so I called and checked. The front desk promised that someone will get back to me, but no one had ever called me back. I had to call again the next day, and got the same response - someone will call me. Waited until almost the end of the day, still no one called. Called again, and the receptionist told me everything is normal. I asked for them to email me the results, promised to do it, but didn’t receive it. I emailed and asked, finally received the report. On the report, there were a couple of items that shows red (out of the normal range), I emailed them again to confirm if everything is still normal, no one responded to my email until today.

I've been coming to North Shore Animal Hospital for my cats for a few years and have always found the staff and doctors to be courteous, respectful, and caring. They are good at following up when necessary and sending important reminders for when my cats need updated vaccines or are due for a check-up. They are also good at keeping appointment times which I greatly appreciate. Definitely recommend. Veterinary medicine is too expensive everywhere but at least with this hospital the value of respect and care meets the cost of the services.

If you really care about your pet, bring them here. They really care about the animals. The doctor was really only motivated by the animal's well-being, not a cash-grab like the previous vet I'd been to. I had screwed up with the vaccinations for my cats (I thought they only needed 2 instead of 3) and though I felt a lot of shame and guilt (our cat was gravely ill, though unrelated to not having all vax) I felt the most hope for our poor kitty because of the doctor's obvious concern for the animal above manipulating me or sugar-coating my failure. He also shared an anecdote about adopting an elderly, disabled cat-- and you just know this guy's a mensch. The staff as well was incredibly efficient, attentive and smart-- there were even some ill-prepared pet owners there who were primed to freak out about something that was their own fault-- and I was very impressed with how the staff diffused, problem-solved, resolved and made everybody (including, most importantly, the innocent by-standers in the waiting room like me) feel peace
