Welcome to North Creek Pet Hospital

For pet owners in Bothell, Washington, seeking a local "Pet Hospital" for the health and well-being of their animals, North Creek Pet Hospital, situated at 19509 Bothell Everett Hwy, offers a range of veterinary services. To provide a comprehensive understanding of what this clinic offers, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by real customers, both positive and negative.

Based on the available reviews, the environment at North Creek Pet Hospital appears to be one where, in positive instances, the staff is perceived as "super nice." One customer who brought their Springer Spaniel in for an ear infection reported a positive experience, highlighting the knowledgeable doctor who not only treated the infection but also provided valuable tips for future prevention. This suggests a clinic where, at times, pet owners can expect a helpful and informative environment with staff who are attentive to their concerns.

However, another, more detailed review paints a concerning picture regarding the clinic's attention to detail and communication. This customer recounted a series of significant errors, beginning with an incorrectly filled international health certificate that resulted in travel disruptions. Despite raising concerns about the timeline for document arrival, the issues were not adequately addressed. This incident suggests potential shortcomings in administrative processes and the knowledge of specific requirements for international pet travel.

Furthermore, the same reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of communication regarding a change in the veterinarian performing their dog's neutering. This lack of transparency can erode trust between the clinic and pet owners who expect to be informed about such changes in their pet's care team. The most alarming aspect of this review involves a significant medical error: the placement of a second microchip in a dog that was already microchipped. The reviewer explicitly stated informing a vet technician about the existing microchip, yet this information was seemingly overlooked. The explanation provided by the Clinic Manager and the Vet, stating they relied on a "summary list" rather than the patient's full chart during an operation, raises serious concerns about the clinic's protocols for ensuring patient safety and accurate record-keeping.

The features of North Creek Pet Hospital, as perceived through these reviews, are somewhat contradictory. On one hand, the clinic appears to have knowledgeable doctors capable of providing effective treatment and helpful advice, as evidenced by the positive ear infection case. They also seem willing to go the extra mile in certain situations, such as special ordering medication. On the other hand, significant lapses in protocol, communication failures, and a reliance on potentially incomplete "summary lists" during medical procedures raise serious concerns about the consistency and reliability of their services.

The incident involving the double microchipping, despite the owner's clear communication and the dog's collar indicating a microchip, points to potential negligence in verifying patient information before performing procedures. The explanation provided by the doctor, comparing domestic pet care to stray animals overseas, was deemed unsatisfactory by the owner, further highlighting a disconnect in communication and understanding of the owner's expectations for their pet's care.

Promotional information is not included in the provided text. It is unclear whether North Creek Pet Hospital offers any specific promotions, discounts, or wellness plans for their services. Local users interested in learning about such offers would need to contact the clinic directly at (425) 481-9400 or +1 425-481-9400 or visit their website, if available.

Considering the contrasting customer experiences, it is crucial for local users to weigh these accounts when considering North Creek Pet Hospital for their pet care needs. The positive review suggests that the clinic is capable of providing helpful and effective treatment with a friendly staff. However, the detailed negative review highlights significant concerns regarding patient safety protocols, communication practices, and attention to detail, particularly during critical procedures and administrative tasks like international health certificate preparation.

For pet owners seeking a "Pet Hospital" in Bothell, WA, North Creek Pet Hospital presents a mixed picture based on the limited available reviews. While positive experiences regarding knowledgeable doctors and friendly staff exist, the serious errors reported by another customer cannot be ignored. These errors point to potential systemic issues within the clinic's operational procedures, particularly concerning the verification of patient information and the reliance on summary data over comprehensive patient charts during medical interventions.

In conclusion, North Creek Pet Hospital in Bothell, WA, offers veterinary services that have been positively received by some customers, particularly concerning the knowledge of the veterinarians and the friendliness of the staff. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding errors in administrative tasks and, more seriously, potential negligence in medical procedures due to a failure to thoroughly check patient records. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek further information or testimonials before entrusting their pet's care to this facility. It may be prudent to inquire specifically about their protocols for verifying patient information and ensuring accurate medical procedures to make an informed decision.

I should have never went back after Dr. Choi incorrectly filled our international Health certificate for our dog, we didn’t get the documents in time and screwed up our entire travels.. i asked multiple times if the appointment I set would be enough time for documents to arrive.. but I hoped her surgery skills were better than her knowledge of international travels. We’ve been going here for 3 years. Well she left and no one informed me that a different doctor would be performing my dogs Neutering. I specifically told the vet tech he was already microchipped. They put another Microchip in. Never looked at my dogs chart. I spoke with the Clinic Manager and Vet who both told me they looked at the “summary list” WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE SUMMARY LIST AND NOT PATIENT CHARTS WHEN OPERATING!? Who ever created the summary list of procedures to be done on Leo never checked his chart that he was already microchipped. The nurse who took him back didn’t bother to check when I clearly told her he was microchipped. I was never informed or consented to having this procedure done. The doctor didn’t check his records or use the scanner to check his shoulder if he already had a microchip (1 second ordeal). They made up excuses of how “microchips can travel” so i had them check on Leo and sure enough they were side by side. This is disgustingly how sloppy of a job you can do to a poor animal who cannot fend for itself. The doctor assured me that “stray dogs overseas have 2 microchips and are perfectly fine”. That’s not why I spend thousands of dollars to make sure my pup never has to endure that but thank you for your condolences. Find a doctor who takes the extra second to looks at your pets charts. This place is not it. The collar my dog had on said he was microchipped… pure negligence. :(

Very happy with NorthCreek . We had gone to another local vet that we didn't end up trusting. So far, our experiences with everyone from scheduling through the vet exam have been positive and our cat seemed OK with everything as well.

North Creek Pet Hospital has served us well over the last 30 or so years. Our pets have always been well cared for and all staff have been friendly. We're always well informed by the Doctors of any issues that might arise.

I love this clinic so much! They are so wonderful and lovely to me and my pup. I'm moving in a few months and I'm really sad that I won't be able to stay with them as my vet. If I could pick them up and move them with me, I would in a heartbeat!
