I am always happy with the good care my parrot receives. Dr Brown and Dr Patton are excellent with my somewhat fractious bird. The techs are gentle but efficient. Highly recommend this practice. I love that it is open on weekends too!

We brought our sick lop-eared bunny to Northern Boulder Companion Animal Hospital and, wow, they were amazing. Not only diagnosed and treated our pet, but had thoughtfully given tips on how to give our bunny the best care and lifestyle. They are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about pet rabbits. They've earned a new customer in us!

I have been a customer of North Boulder Animal Companion for over 7 years. Over the last couple of years the service has gone downhill. I have had multiple issues getting prescriptions filled. Even after just coming in for a check up. Been made to feel guilty about what medication I am giving my dog, even though they have tried everything and were never able to diagnose my dog properly. And then they send me to a dermatologist that tries everything and settles on this medication to just keep her itching at bay. And then I am treated as if I am being neglectful to my animal by giving her this medication without yearly bloodwork. She has had it every year but this year and at this point, we don’t have any other options. Brought my pup in to have her nails trimmed on Tuesday. When the tech was taking her to the back I explained to her that she has black nails and black quicks, so please be careful as it easy to cut them. The last time I was in the tech let me come in the back while they did it, and it took about 20 minutes as she was extremely careful. This person took about 3 minutes. I should have checked her while I was there, but I guess I assumed if there was any issue they would have let me know. Well, I was completely wrong about that. When I got home she started licking her paws, and as I thought about it, she was panting heavily on the ride home. I looked at her nails and two of her nails had been cut very poorly and were bleeding. One of them was her dew claw on her front left and it was almost cut off completely. The reason I paid them to do it, was because it is hard and I wanted someone to do it professionally. The job I got was so far from that as I could have done a much better job myself. I called to let them know and the response I got was nonchalant and lacking responsibility. I let them know I would be bringing her back in and that I wanted to speak to my vet. I was informed she wasnt there that day, so I asked to bring her in the next day she was which was two days later. Fast forward two days and I miss a call from my vet. She says she does not have time to see me today, she will not be refunding the money for the nail trim, and that she doesn’t want to be my vet anymore and she doesn’t want me coming back. WHAT?!? Because I got a little irate on the phone when the response I get is basically we don’t care. And my vet, Dr. Patton, who is leaving this message, gave me a hug the last time I was in there dealing with a different issue and told me to call with any questions or concerns. I have a concern. Your office cares more about money and rules than they do about my animal. And it shows. This is the first online review I have ever left in my life and I am 45 years old. Total disappointment.
