I brought my dog here because he had a hacking cough after being misdiagnosed by another vet with seizures. The critical care and emergency room doctor were quite thorough and confirmed that he didn’t have seizures, he has syncope (look it up...I had to as well). The Internal medicine department attempted to perform an ultrasound however, my 11 lb Pomeranian was not comfortable with allowing that to happen. He was discharged and Hanna Sainz recommended that he come back in order to perform the ultrasound under sedation. Two days after he was discharged, he started having explosive diarrhea and there was blood in his stool. I brought him back to SVRC and I was advised that this would be a good opportunity for him to have his abdominal ultrasound with sedation....since he was already there. When Terry aka Teresita Carro called me after my baby was admitted on Wednesday discharged on Thursday and had to return on Saturday due to explosive diarrhea and bleeding from his colon, she felt the need to speak to me in a demeaning manner. She spoke over me and never allowed me to get a word in edgewise. I picked up my little baby with no clarity as how to care for him. She raised her voice and was blatantly rude and unprofessional. She got ‘ghetto’ on me and much to my chagrin she plays the role of a doctor but behaves like Cardi B. I will never bring my dog or even a flea to see Teresita Carro. I I am not typically the sort of person that would ever take the time to write something negative however in this case I felt it was necessary. Please do your research and take care of your furry babies. I hope this review helps someone. Stay safe.

I wish I could give MINUS stars. Stay away from this Clinic. Do yourself a favor and look on YELP as well. The Vet's ( CARRO ) are hiding inside the clinic and having staff personnel run in the parking lot to deal with customers. Horrible lines of communication and absolutely no follow-up. It's all about your credit cards! > Brought my cat to SVRC 8/5/2021. > Abdomen was filling with fluid. Needed to see cardiologist and internist -> CARRO is the problem here. > Presented all medical records, x-rays, bloodwork that were performed 1.5 days prior@ different clinic. Was told they need to perform their own - total was $4000.00 for ultrasound of the heart and abdomen. Refused that option& insisted they utilize tests results I brought. They were not happy. > Heart was clear via the cardiologist. > Passed my baby to CARRO. > Her assistant called and said the ultrasound was unclear & not sure if it is pancreatitis or cancer- not able to see tumors - sent culture to lab in FL for testing. > CARRO's assistant insisted I leave my cat at the Clinic until results come back - estimate of 4 days. She was relentless and had a hard time hearing the word "no". If my cat needed fluids or have her abdomen drained - I could visit her regular Vet near my home. > Estimated Charge for leaving her there was $5000.00+. I refused. > Test results were presented to me via " EMAIL" on Tuesday 8/10/2021. I called and left a message insisting I speak with CARRO and need her to translate what the results actually mean and move forward with a course of action. > It is now 8/14/2021 and I still have not heard from CARRO. WHY? > I have never spoken to CARRO - she is hiding behind her staff and refuses to communicate with the client base. Extremely poor business plan. Where is the compassion CARRO? You have the pet's owners sitting in a parking lot and you are hiding behind your staff. Pick up the phone and learn to communicate with the actual people that pay the bills for you to continue. > What a professional Vet does is call the pet's owner, introduce herself. Perform the ultrasound and then CALL the owner to discuss outcome and what options are available to save my family members life. Yes, CARRO it is that simple and basic. She still has not had the professional courtesy of retuning my calls. Is it possible because, I refused an additional $7000.00 charges they were trying to sell - the reason for her not communicating to a paying customer. I paid the bill in full which was $1900.00 for ultrasound but, is that not enough to warrant a returned call? This clinic is a disgrace! Whatever happened to the Oath they take: FIRST DO NO HARM?

My experience with Dr. Carro was extremely negative. She’s arrogant, unprofessional and just plain rude. She thinks she knows everything and doesn’t even let you speak. She will talk over you and dismiss anything you have to say. For months I thought she was personally seeing my dog. A staff member comes to get your pet from the car, run bloodwork and they give her the results and she calls while you wait in the car. Then they charge you for a vet visit. My dog was critically ill and she wouldn’t even see her personally. I have never been as disrespected during a call like this woman treated me. She seems to have serious issues. The staff were shocked to hear how she spoke to me and they even suggested I switch to another doctor there because she’s so rude. They also admitted that she treats them the same way. Do yourself a favor and go to another vet.

My dog has a recurring problem where he can't pee because kidney stones block him. I usually take him to a vet and they flush him out. I took him to Terry Carro's The Pet Emergency Room this time. They wanted to keep my dog overnight for a surgery they were pushing on me to get him that would take place the next day. I told them I love my dog but didnt know if I could afford the 1 to 2 thousand dollar estimate for him to stay over night, the treatment to clear out his condition, and the surgery (which would be at least another 2,000). I was just going to have them flush him out but the pressed me to do it with the promise that in a day they could definitively eliminate the problem. I left him there that day and they promised me I'd get a call from the surgical team in the morning. There was no call and no one had any updated information. Finally, I get a call past 4 pm from Terry Carro who is a doctor and seems to have an ownership interest based on the business info online. She told me that I would need to pay for more tests and keep the dog another night because they didn't flush him out, prep him for surgery, or do any tests until that moment. When I told her that I was promised that wouldn't happen she said I could pay the extra or pick up my dog. Usually, I would just pick up me dog, but they charged me over 1,000 and they didn't even flush him out, they just put a catheter which they removed when he left, so he still couldn't pee. Teresita Carro told me that there was no established contract and if I wanted the surgery done that same day I would have to pay "after hours" fees (it was 4:30pm), even though they were the ones who were not prepared and only got me to sign the contract (which she says is not a contract) and pay the first $1100 because her doctor and technician told me it would be done in one day. I am somewhat soft spoken and she is one of those people who talks over you and talks louder when you try to keep talking. She gave me back my dog in the same condition I brought him in and I paid 1,100 for nothing. Her own employee told me that she has had that same issue with several other people. Also, I come to see her name is represented online as having ownership interest. No wonder she was pushing so hard for more money. The place right next door is much more professional and affordable from what they have told me. This place should not be considered under any circumstances.
