I've brought my foster dog Toto (who I hope to adopt from the incredible AMA Animal Rescue) to see Dr. McBean at Noah's Ark about four times now. Toto is very suspicious of new people, but the first time Dr. McBean walked in the room, Toto ran right up to her and started kissing her like they were old friends. Now they are! Dr. McBean and the whole team at Noah's Ark really remember your pet and you, and treat you both like you are very important to them. While I don't know them all, I know that Dr. McBean, Dr. Dikshteyn, Practice Manager Gillespie, and the whole team of first-class veterinary professionals at Noah's Ark all have been genuinely caring for the well-being of animals since they were children - and their dedication to pet wellness at their family-feeling, women-led practice radiates throughout every moment of their pet-patient care. The love is real and while Toto is usually uncomfortable and aggressive towards new people, he instantly has loved every Noah's Ark team member he's met. While suspicious of strangers, he loves tons of attention from friends - and that is something Noah's Ark's team always delivers. Toto doesn't like getting his temperature taken or getting shots, but he just loves it when two of his vet-tech friends are holding him at the same time. He's really come to enjoy a pronounced level of authentic attention from his team at Noah's Ark. Toto doesn’t exactly know what is happening besides everyone is there for him. The team have also been so compassionate and understanding of Toto's intense dog aggression. They time other dogs coming and going through the waiting room so Toto will be the least uncomfortable as possible, and they never act like they're going out of their way for him, even though they are. That is just one more way they know how to take care of their friend and pet-patient Toto. Toto is always so happy after the appointment, you'd think he got a lollipop - instead he got world-class wellness care from the attentive expertise of his whole team at Noah's Ark. I love that the practice is women-owned and led, and I respect that they clearly operate based on their values. Thank you, Noah's Ark, for being Toto's wellness team! (Toto was supposed to lose 5 pounds - he lost 2! Progress!)

Based on the glowing testimonials from satisfied pet owners, Noah's Ark Veterinary Practice has cultivated a reputation for its genuinely caring and attentive team, led by dedicated professionals like Dr. McBean and Dr. Dikshteyn, and managed by Gillespie. The practice is also noted for being women-owned and led, a characteristic that resonates positively with at least one reviewer who respects their values-driven operation. The recurring theme in the reviews is the personalized and compassionate approach to pet care, where both the animal and the owner are made to feel valued and important.
One particularly heartwarming review details the experience of a foster dog named Toto, who was initially suspicious and sometimes aggressive towards new people. Remarkably, Toto immediately took to Dr. McBean, showering her with affection from their very first meeting. This anecdote speaks volumes about Dr. McBean's gentle and reassuring demeanor with animals. The reviewer further emphasizes that the entire team at Noah's Ark remembers both the pet and the owner, treating them as valued individuals. The dedication of the team, including Dr. McBean, Dr. Dikshteyn, and Practice Manager Gillespie, to animal well-being is described as a lifelong passion that permeates every aspect of their care.
The "family-feeling" atmosphere of this women-led practice is highlighted as a key element contributing to the positive experience. Even a dog with a history of discomfort and aggression towards strangers, like Toto, has shown immediate trust and affection towards every member of the Noah's Ark team he has met. The team's attentiveness extends to understanding and accommodating Toto's specific challenges, such as his dog aggression. They proactively manage the waiting room traffic to minimize his discomfort, demonstrating a level of care that goes above and beyond. Despite Toto's dislike for certain procedures like temperature checks and shots, he tolerates them well due to the comforting presence of his "vet-tech friends." The reviewer concludes that Toto leaves his appointments happy, attributing it to the "world-class wellness care" and the "attentive expertise" of the entire team.
Another highly positive review comes from the owner of two large dogs, a German Shepherd and a Chocolate Lab, one of whom is typically fearful during veterinary visits. Despite these challenges, the reviewer reports "no problems" at Noah's Ark. The practice has also been a reliable resource for guidance during emergencies, such as when one of their dogs ingested medication. Furthermore, when their German Shepherd developed an autoimmune disease requiring regular injections that weren't fully effective, the team at Noah's Ark proactively referred them to a specialist dermatologist in the city, showcasing their commitment to ensuring the best possible care, even if it means seeking external expertise. Their support even extended to providing prompt assistance with vaccination information needed for a family member taking their dog overseas, highlighting their responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile for their clients.
This second reviewer emphasizes having seen every doctor at the practice and having had consistently positive experiences with all of them, stating, "there's nobody that we dislike. Nobody that we would recommend over another doctor he's never had a bad experience." This strong endorsement across the entire medical team underscores the consistent quality of care provided at Noah's Ark Veterinary Practice. The reviewer confidently recommends the practice for all types of pets, be it "doggie Kitty whatever you have," solidifying its reputation as a trusted and versatile pet hospital in the community.
While the reviews primarily focus on the exceptional care and the positive interactions with the staff and doctors, they implicitly suggest a welcoming and comfortable environment within the clinic. A practice that prioritizes a "family-feeling" and ensures even anxious animals feel safe and cared for likely maintains a clean, organized, and soothing atmosphere. The attention to detail, such as managing waiting room traffic for a reactive dog, indicates a thoughtful approach to the overall patient experience.
Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback, Noah's Ark Veterinary Practice likely offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services to address the diverse health needs of their patients. These typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, diagnostic services (such as laboratory testing and imaging), treatment for illnesses and injuries, and surgical procedures. The proactive referral to a specialist dermatologist indicates a commitment to ensuring access to advanced care when needed.
Features of Noah's Ark Veterinary Practice, as consistently highlighted by the reviews, include a genuinely caring and attentive team of veterinary professionals, including the highly regarded Dr. McBean and Dr. Dikshteyn. The women-led nature of the practice and their values-driven approach resonate positively with clients. The personalized care, where staff remember both the pet and the owner, and the proactive management of challenging situations, such as a dog with aggression issues, are significant features. The willingness to provide guidance beyond their immediate services, such as specialist referrals and overseas travel advice, further distinguishes their commitment to their clients' needs.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, the strong emphasis on quality care and personalized attention suggests that their primary focus is on providing value through exceptional service rather than relying heavily on discounts or promotions. Local users are encouraged to contact Noah's Ark Veterinary Practice directly to inquire about their service fees and any potential wellness plans or special offers they may have.

Apr 04, 2025 · Becki HolubI absolutely recommend this office. I have to large dogs a German shepherd and a chocolate Lab. No fear of my gentle German shepherd who likes to talk a lot. My lab is different and it's difficult still no problems. Has been there to guide us when one dog got into some medicine and what to do. My German shepherd has an Auto immune disease and has to get shots a couple times a year. When we discussed a better plan for her because the shots are not all the way relieving of our German Shepherd they directed us to a dermatologist for dogs in the city. even when I needed information about a family member who is bringing their dog overseas. I needed a quick glance to make sure all of the vaccines were okay they did so an email me promptly. We have seen every doctor in this practice I do believe and there's nobody that we dislike. Nobody that we would recommend over another doctor he's never had a bad experience. Most definitely a great choice for your doggie Kitty whatever you have.
Mar 29, 2025 · MistyI would strongly advise against bringing your pet here. Our dog was put on a special diet based on a misdiagnosed allergy, which lacked the necessary protein and caused severe stomach issues and significant weight loss. Even as she became visibly underweight, the vet refused to acknowledge the diet as the issue, blaming everything else. After seeking a second opinion, we learned she never had the allergy they claimed, and she actually needed a high-protein diet. Since switching vets, our dog is healthier and happier than ever. Do your own research and don’t blindly trust their recommendations!
Apr 01, 2025 · Danielle OliviaMy dog passed away two years ago but had I found this vet earlier he probably would have lived longer and healthier. I regret not finding them sooner. Thank you for the good care we got I highly recommend new patients.
Nov 01, 2024 · Clint ByrneHad to put my dog down 2 days ago and the whole staff went above and beyond for a dog that was not even their patient. This speaks volumes to who they are as a practice. They turned a heartbreaking situation into something a little more tolerable. I was showed nothing but kindness and warmth.
