Welcome to Noah's Ark Animal Hospital
Noah's Ark Animal Hospital, located at 2615 NY-30A, Fonda, NY 12068, USA, operates within the 'Pet Hospital' category, aiming to provide veterinary care to local pet owners. As a veterinary practice, it offers services typical of an animal hospital, addressing the health and well-being of companion animals in the Fonda area. The clinic's accessibility is facilitated by its location on a state route, making it relatively easy for residents to find and visit.
The environment at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital, as gathered from customer feedback, presents a mixed picture. One review describes a positive and caring atmosphere, where "Dr. Stipe is a wonderful vet! He is compassionate and caring and the costs are very reasonable, my fur babies love him and his staff!" This suggests an environment where pets and their owners feel welcome and at ease, with a focus on empathetic interaction. Such an environment is crucial for reducing stress during veterinary visits. However, another, more critical review, paints a different scene, referring to a "theme park clinic experience where getting you out the door quickly is the main attraction." This implies a fast-paced environment that may prioritize efficiency over detailed client-vet communication, potentially leading to a rushed feeling. The presence of a newly-hired vet tech struggling with accounting also points to potential inconsistencies in operational flow or staff training, which could impact the client experience. The overall impression of the environment, therefore, appears to be subjective, depending on individual experiences and expectations regarding the balance between speed, cost, and comprehensive communication.
As a facility categorized under 'Pet Hospital,' Noah's Ark Animal Hospital is expected to offer a range of veterinary services designed to maintain and restore pet health. While a detailed list of services is not explicitly provided in the available information, standard offerings for a general animal hospital typically include:
- Preventive Care: This would generally cover routine wellness exams, vaccinations (such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus for dogs, and FVRCP for cats), parasite control (flea, tick, and heartworm prevention), and nutritional counseling.
- Diagnostic Services: To identify health issues, services like in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams) and possibly imaging such as X-rays are common.
- Medical Treatment: Diagnosis and treatment for various acute and chronic illnesses, including conditions like ear infections, as mentioned in one review.
- Surgical Procedures: Routine surgeries such as spaying, neutering, and potentially other common soft tissue surgeries.
- Dental Care: Professional dental cleanings and potentially extractions to maintain oral health.
- Emergency Care: While not a 24-hour emergency clinic, they would likely handle non-critical emergencies during their operational hours.
One review specifically mentions a "new and improved" treatment option for chronic ear infections, suggesting that the clinic does offer updated medical approaches for specific conditions. However, the communication surrounding these treatments and their costs is a point of contention in at least one customer's experience.
The features of Noah's Ark Animal Hospital are best understood by examining the differing perspectives offered in customer reviews. On one hand, a significant feature highlighted is the compassion and caring nature of Dr. Stipe and his staff. This personal connection and genuine care for the animals are highly valued by many clients, leading to strong recommendations. The clinic is also noted for its reasonable costs by at least one satisfied customer, suggesting that for many, the pricing aligns well with the quality of care received. This affordability can be a major draw for pet owners seeking value in veterinary services.
However, another review points to a different set of features, or rather, challenges. These include a perceived emphasis on speed and efficiency over detailed client communication, particularly regarding pricing and treatment options. The fluctuating prices mentioned in one review and the vet's reluctance to discuss costs directly with the client are significant concerns. The critical feedback also highlights a potential issue with staff training or communication within the clinic, as evidenced by a new vet tech struggling with billing inquiries and a reported unprofessional outburst from the vet. The concern about a lack of clear explanation for treatments and their impact on health outcomes is also a key feature that may affect client trust and satisfaction. This dichotomy suggests that while some clients experience exceptional, affordable, and compassionate care, others encounter difficulties with transparency and communication, particularly concerning financial aspects and detailed treatment explanations.
When considering promotional information for Noah's Ark Animal Hospital, the word-of-mouth recommendations emphasizing Dr. Stipe's compassionate care and reasonable costs serve as a powerful form of promotion for many pet owners. The phone numbers, (518) 853-4838 and +1 518-853-4838, are available for direct contact. However, the differing experiences highlight that while the clinic may attract clients through its affordability and the positive personal reputation of its lead veterinarian, potential clients should also be prepared to actively seek clarity on treatment plans and associated costs. The varied customer experiences indicate that direct communication and asking questions about services and pricing before procedures are crucial for managing expectations and ensuring a positive outcome at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital.

May 23, 2025 · Dee HTLDR: 1. If you have unlimited funds, blind trust, and love the thrill of a theme park clinic experience where getting you out the door quickly is the main attraction? This is the vet for you. 2. If you prefer to understand the care your pet is receiving, its costs, and the impact on their health outcomes? Look elsewhere. My dog has been battling ear infections for years—untreatable even with the priciest allergy prevention measures available. You can imagine my hopes when visiting this clinic. But, oh, what a ride. First, let's talk about the vet himself. The man is efficient, I'll give him that, but discussing pricing? Nope. That’s for his minimum-wage staff to handle, while he spends 15 minutes laser-focused on "healthcare." Smart strategy? Maybe. But shouldn’t cost be part of care? I understand the need to focus, but come on—I'm not buying a luxury car; I'm trying to keep my pet healthy. Unfortunately, it was a rough ride for both me and my furry companion, thanks to a newly-hired vet tech. Sweet girl, genuinely tried her best, but she was clearly new to the accounting game. Here’s where it gets “fun”—the prices changed every time I asked for clarity on treatment options. When she tried to consult the vet, his reaction was anything but professional: pure frustration directed at her. When I stepped in to voice my confusion, I was hit with the “infathomable blow” of: “YOU WANTED THE BEST.” Translation? “You’re not a good pet parent.” Wow. Classy. Nine years of recurring ear infections, always treated the same way, but suddenly there’s a “new and improved” treatment option at twice the price, with half the explanation. When I pointed out that “the best” to me means balancing cost, care, and minimizing return visits for chronic issues, I was met with silence—followed by a profanity-laden outburst from the vet himself, in the hallway no less (and this is a man who touts being ‘a man of God’). He stormed out and refused to return. I recorded the whole exchange with my glasses, and yes, it’s heading to YouTube soon. Sunny said it best, run, don't walk away from this level of abuse.
Nov 08, 2024 · Chris DancyLast night my grandma had to make one of the hardest decisions a pet owner ever has to make and she had to put her Penny girl to sleep. Penny has been by her side since we lost my grandpa years ago and about two weeks ago she become very sick. I can't thank Dr Stipe and staff enough for everything they did for us last night. Every option was explained and after my grandma made her decision they made her feel very comfortable and they let her take her time saying goodbye. We are so grateful and thank them so much for the thoughtfulness.
Nov 21, 2024 · Michela FranciscoI am a long time customer of Noah's Ark and Dr. Stipe. Along with the incredible staff Noah's Ark truly goes above and beyond for the patient and the pet owner. Dr. Stipe has been my vet for over 20 years and the negative comment that was just posted caused me to write this review. About a year ago, we lost a very dear family member, Wesley who for many years dealt with diabetes and whose life was extended due to the incredible tender mercies of Dr. Stipe and his team. On the morning that we were losing Wesley, Dr. Stipe immediately took him in and did what he could to save him, but that was not to happen and Wesley passed in the surrounded by a team that was as teary eyed as I was. Dr. Stipe could not be more compassionate. As a matter of fact, as my cat was passing, an injured cat he had just taken in (because a pet owner could not afford to care for him) had just given birth (litter of one) and Dr. Stipe offered us that new kitten to assuage our grief. Through the years we have lost a few pets to old age and genetic medical conditions and every time Dr. Stipe has been the consummate professional. I have never heard Dr. Stipe lose his temper or ever use foul language, but to the contrary I have seen him become emotional at another's loss and know that on many occasions Dr. Stipe has been incredibly generous to pet owner's that don't have extra resources. Take the latest negative review with a grain of salt and chalk it up to a disgruntled patient who didn't like what he heard. That customer should return to their former veterinarian.
