NewDay Veterinary Care

The standard of care here is excellent. Cosmo loves coming and seeing his friends. There is no fear when we come here and everyone treats him so well, as evidenced by one of the vet techs sitting and petting him when the vet talked me through what we needed to do for his ear infection. I’m so thankful for NewDay and their team!

So regularly taking pets to the vet is a new thing for this generation of my family. I have been to several vets around town but have never really felt like there was any connection outside of the services/procedures that were suppose to take place. This all changed the first day I went to NewDay and met Dr. Julie Haas. Dr. Haas and her team do a wonderful job of letting you know your furry buddy is in the best hands. I never feel pressured to accept any services and don't walk out feeling like I was upcharged on something that we really didn't need. Because of this, I always take her suggestions on how to best care for my boy Kringle. Boy oh Boy does my buddy love the staff that works there. Dr. Haas is truly a once in a lifetime Vet and I hope that I will always be able to rely on her as a professional.

Dr. Haas and the vet techs here are very kind and helpful! I took my pet Patches in for a check up following an I&D of an abscess to see how she was healing, and Dr. Haas gave me tips on things to watch out for as well as well as products to use to better help Patches heal. Not only did she do a thorough examination for her acute condition, but she also checked her general well being by assessing her body habitus and teeth/ nails. I love how knowledgeable and well prepared Dr. Haas was, and the fact that she took the time to discuss not only the current concerns, but also potential future considerations. She ended the exam by asking me what questions I had, and I really appreciated her taking extra time to do that! I’m really glad I took my pet to New Day!

A minor note to the staff answering phones: The client can hear your conversation unless you mute or place them on hold. I called in because it’s Saturday after and I just found an injury on my young hand-raised white call duck. The receptionist heard my issue, then put down the phone and said something to the effect of “wow, there’s some crazy people calling in today” like I had asked if they were okay seeing my Ivory billed woodpecker or giant elephant eating roc. I’m sure the young lady just needs some training but calling a potential customer crazy while they are seeking emergency treatment for a pet they’ve raised from birth isn’t very good bedside manner, maybe a 5 min meeting about “hot mics” could save this clinic some Future trouble.
