Newberry Animal Hospital Main St.

This staff is really dope. They are super accommodating. I have the craziest stuff happen to me like not having a phone and they emailed me, contacted my roommate when moose had surgery and gave everyone the run down. I felt like the pricing of it all made sense and wasn’t overpriced, it’s Florida. Love how all the vets are women. Moose came out of surgery like it never happened. Highly recommend. Update still insanely happy to have Dr White and her amazing fun sweet team take care of my two senior shihtzus they are so kind and sweet and they are gentle and I wish I could say thank you enough I’m forever grateful

From start to finish i had a great experience with this clinic and their staff. We were able to get an appointment quickly and once at the clinic the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I was given a few different treatment options regarding my dog’s allergies and the pros/cons of each. I felt like i was being listened to and wasnt just another patient. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and I felt like I was in good hands!

It has been such a journey trying to find a vet we feel takes care and comfort in our anxious dog, and we’ve only been once but we absolutely loved the work done by Dana and Dr. Sorensen at the Newberry on Main Street! They took so much time and care to let my dog feel comfortable, they actually looked at her and treated her with kindness, and they gave her so much love she wanted to follow them at the end of our exam. Pricing was pretty on par with other vet offices, but the care was amazing! After having some bad experiences and being treated like garbage at Shores Animal Hospital, this was an amazing and locally owned breath of fresh air!! Waiting room was clean and cool, and all the staff were super helpful. They’ve also been great at communicating and checking back in after our visit. Would absolutely recommend.

They exceeded my expectations. My senior cat is about to turn 11 and she means the absolute world to me. I figured it was time to take her to the vet for a senior wellness exam and get up-to-date on her vaccines. Everyone that I interacted with at Newberry Animal Hospital was incredibly kind. You can tell they genuinely care about animals. The vet was honest and very warm. I’m so happy I came here, and knowing I have a reliable and trustworthy vet right down the street brings me so much peace of mind!

My biggest fear about moving to a new town was whether I could find sufficient healthcare for my pets. Having worked in vet med for years, I’ve seen my share of poor treatment from receptionists, nurses, and doctors. I was recommended to this hospital by someone whose wife is a veterinarian with UF — if they trust their dogs with the staff at Newberry, then I figured that would be the best place to start. I don’t know if this is the location my recommender uses, by my expectations were blown out of the water. If I was still in vet med, this is the kind of clinic I would be proud to work at. Everyone is kind, compassionate, respectful, and down to earth. My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Sorensen and I will be hard pressed to ever let another doctor touch my pets now because she was just SO good with them. Even my very nervous, neurological lemon of a dog instantly took a shine to her. Our nurse was just as loving, though her name escapes me and I’m really bummed about it, because I want to put in a request to have her see our rooms for each visit! Both Dr. Sorensen and our nurse handled my over-the-top dogs with grace and care that not only they needed, but I did too, to ease my own nerves. I would trust them both with anything my pets needed. The hospital itself was clean (until my dogs came in with their coat bunnies tumbling everywhere, sorry!) and it was very cute. Not only do they have great staff but they’re also independently owned and have a non-profit. Their prices are reasonable, especially with the rising cost of pet care. I’d even pay more if I knew it meant the staff was being payed what they’re worth. Every clinic, including the ones I’ve worked at, should be taking notes from Newberry AH on Main. Ash and Norman will be making many visits. 🐾
