The team at NY Cat Hospital, especially Dr. Soboroff, has demonstrated exceptional professional care and compassion throughout my experiences with them. I first brought my cat Buttercup here about six months ago and was so impressed by their thorough and thoughtful care that I entrusted them again with my second kitten, Snowpuff. Unfortunately, Snowpuff fell critically ill shortly after I brought him home and tragically passed away after emergency care, and during this incredibly difficult time, the team at NY Cat Hospital truly went above and beyond. While they only saw Snowpuff once, their thorough examination, detailed documentation, and willingness to provide support even after the visit stood out as extraordinary. What impressed me most about their practice is how they handle both routine care, like Buttercup’s, and moments of crisis, like with Snowpuff. You can really tell the values of a business not just in good times, but also in the hardest moments. Dr. Soboroff and his team were compassionate, professional, and incredibly helpful during a time when I needed it most. I’m especially grateful for their: • Attention to detail in medical records • Clear communication about vaccination and care protocols • Professional integrity and compassion in handling sensitive situations Buttercup continues to receive excellent care here, and I feel fortunate to have such a reliable and caring veterinary team. Special thanks to Dr. Soboroff and the entire staff for their dedication and kindness. Highly recommend this practice to any cat owner in NYC. 🙏

Dr Soboroff and his staff are the best. I have been bringing my two cats to NYCH since they were kittens. I feel confident knowing that Dr Soboroff checks them annually and is there when any issues come up. He has advised us on behavioral issues, food recommendations, and minor ailments. He handles all with his same kind, calm demeanor - charming every kitty in his care.

I have new kitten, she had her first appointment with Dr. Gerber. It was a great experience. Very welcoming and the appointment did not feel rushed at all. I was able to ask questions. As a cat mom to an elderly cat that passed away recently, that did not have the best experiences with veterinarians, I was hoping to find a place that makes you feel like they care about the animals they're treating. I found that at New York Cat Hospital. Gil the veterinary assistant was great and very informative as well.

Dr. Gerber and the vet techs were excellent with both of my almost-elderly girls (10 and 12), they were calm, caring, prompt, and friendly. The techs were amazing, skillfully drawing blood and other samples without my girls uttering a peep or swatting at all -- and you know cats are usually NOT okay with any of this! Dr. Gerber spent as much time as I needed answering all of my questions, both during and after the visits. Having experienced several vet practices over the course of my girls' lifetimes (their original vet retired and was bought out by Banfield - ugh, beginning an odyssey which has finally ended), I understand now why my local friends take their cats here to NY Cat Hospital.

The experience I had with New York Cat Hospital was outrageous. I don't have problem with Dr. Soboroff. He was nice with my three year old Ragdoll, and I think it is mainly because he has never been sick. All we need was regular check-up and some vaccines. However, since last year, the customer service/reception at the hospital has become horrible. At first it was just hanging up on me because the receptionist thought my four letter name sounded like scam. And then it became threatening me to cancel an appointment I scheduled two months in advance. I will attach some screenshots for proof. Their way of dealing with clients is the worst, and they prey on your kindness of being understanding. I don't recommend anyone who has busy schedule/or just any nice people going there.
