I ordered medication for one of my dogs earlier this morning and hadn’t heard anything so I called later this afternoon and nothing was done which is a 5 minute process. I have been going to this Vet for 18 years and the interaction today was horrible. They even charged $10 for having the medication done while I waited as they considered it “a fee for urgency”. I asked to have it removed and the Vet Tech refused to ask the Doctor. I normally receive good service but not today. I highly recommend NOT using Vet Clinic as they only seem to care about money and not their clients.

Welcome to New Richmond Veterinary Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of New Richmond Veterinary Clinic, a dedicated pet hospital catering to the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. While the physical location of New Richmond Veterinary Clinic is in New Richmond, Wisconsin, USA, as a platform within the category of "Pet Hospital," we aim to provide local users in Singapore with a detailed understanding of what a comprehensive veterinary care facility offers. This introduction will delve into the typical environment, services, features, and considerations one might expect from a reputable pet hospital, drawing insights from the provided information, including real customer reviews.
As a "Pet Hospital," New Richmond Veterinary Clinic, in its physical manifestation, operates with the primary goal of providing a wide range of medical and surgical services for pets. Such facilities typically house examination rooms where veterinarians conduct consultations, diagnose illnesses, and administer routine check-ups. These rooms are designed to be comfortable and clean, aiming to minimize stress for both pets and their owners. Diagnostic equipment, such as X-ray machines, ultrasound devices, and in-house laboratories for blood work and other tests, are crucial components of a modern pet hospital, enabling prompt and accurate diagnoses.
A well-equipped pet hospital also features surgical suites where various procedures, from routine sterilizations to more complex operations, are performed. These areas adhere to strict hygiene and sterilization protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals undergoing surgery. Post-operative care is another vital aspect, with recovery areas where pets can be closely monitored as they recuperate from surgical procedures or other medical treatments.
Beyond medical and surgical care, pet hospitals often provide preventative care services. These include vaccinations to protect against common and potentially life-threatening diseases, parasite prevention programs (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), nutritional counseling to ensure pets maintain a healthy weight and receive appropriate nutrients, and dental care services, ranging from routine cleanings to addressing more complex dental issues.
Considering the services offered by a typical "Pet Hospital," we can analyze the limited information available for New Richmond Veterinary Clinic. One customer review mentions ordering medication, indicating that the clinic provides pharmaceutical services. The negative aspect of this review highlights a potential area for improvement in their communication and handling of urgent requests, as the customer experienced delays and unexpected fees. This suggests that while medication dispensing is a service, the efficiency and customer service aspects might vary.
In contrast, another customer shared a highly positive experience, emphasizing the clinic's ability to accommodate a new patient with a potentially serious condition (a suspected broken leg) on the same day. This speaks to their capacity for handling urgent cases and their commitment to providing timely care. The reviewer also praised the friendliness and kindness of the entire staff, including the front desk, technicians, and the doctor, as well as the prompt service and reasonable pricing. This positive feedback suggests a caring and efficient environment, at least in this particular instance.
Features of a reputable pet hospital often include experienced and compassionate veterinary professionals – licensed veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and knowledgeable support staff. The positive review specifically mentions the friendliness and kindness of all staff members, which is a crucial feature contributing to a positive client experience. The ability to offer same-day appointments for urgent cases, as highlighted in the positive review, is another significant feature that demonstrates a commitment to addressing immediate pet health concerns.
Promotional information for a pet hospital typically focuses on the quality of care, the expertise of the veterinary team, the range of services offered, and the commitment to animal welfare. While specific promotional details for New Richmond Veterinary Clinic are not provided in the given information, the positive review serves as a form of organic promotion, highlighting their responsiveness, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Conversely, the negative review might deter potential clients, emphasizing the importance of consistent and positive customer service.
For local users in Singapore seeking a "Pet Hospital," it is essential to consider various factors when making a choice. These include the clinic's reputation (which can be gauged through online reviews and word-of-mouth), the range of services offered to meet their pet's specific needs, the clinic's environment (cleanliness, comfort, and safety), the qualifications and experience of the veterinary team, the availability of emergency services, and the pricing of services. While New Richmond Veterinary Clinic is geographically located in the USA, understanding the dynamics of such a facility provides a framework for evaluating local options in Singapore.
In conclusion, a comprehensive "Pet Hospital" like New Richmond Veterinary Clinic (based on the general understanding and the provided reviews) aims to be a central resource for pet owners, offering a wide spectrum of services from routine preventative care to complex medical and surgical treatments. While the reviews for New Richmond Veterinary Clinic present a mixed picture, with one highlighting excellent and prompt care and the other detailing a negative experience with customer service and unexpected fees, they underscore the importance of both quality medical care and positive client interactions in a successful veterinary practice. For pet owners in Singapore, this introduction provides insights into the key aspects to consider when choosing a "Pet Hospital" to ensure the health and well-being of their cherished pets.

Apr 04, 2025 · Jason JohnstonI called in the morning because I was concerned my dog had broken his leg. He had never been seen there before. They got him in same day. Everyone was so friendly, and kind- the front desk staff, the techs and the doctor. They were very prompt and reasonably priced. I think we found our new vet clinic! Couldn’t be happier
Mar 19, 2025 · Melissa GresafeOn 1/9, we brought our dog in because he had been having diarrhea since his surgery on Monday (a different clinic did this). They didn’t seem too concerned that he hadn't been drinking much but prescribed a probiotic powder and something for anxiety but we were instructed to only give before a stressful event. They told us to feed him a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice). He ended up throwing up a little that night but was fine the rest of the night. The next morning, before feeding, he threw up again. Blood work showed that his pancreas was inflamed and he had pancreatitis. Now they gave him drugs to stop the vomiting, a probiotic pill, tramadol and a prescription soft food. We struggled to get him to take his pills. We didn’t know what to use as his stomach wasn’t happy and forcing him to take the pills did not go well. The vet was not of much help either. After 48 hrs of not pooping, he finally did, and I called the vet again to talk about this. This was on 1/14, they told me that they’d be calling me back that evening, but they never did. From 1/14 - 1/24, they never called and when we called back for guidance on switching him off the soft food, they said they were in staff meetings throughout the day and would call us back. They never did and we ended up going to the clinic. They were of no help with helping us figure out a new kibble for our dog but jumped on suggesting an expensive prescription kibble. When we asked if we should avoid kibble with chicken due to him getting worse when we tried the bland diet, they told us just to try something and see how it goes (not helpful and could result in extra unneeded spending). They never once called to see how our dog was doing. Yesterday we stopped in to return a can of wet dog food along with the trazadone because it makes our dog sick every time we give it to him. They couldn't give us money back for the trazadone but would take it off our hands, again wasting our money. The moral of the story - do not take your pets here! They say they care but they don't, they'll make you wait in the room and just want your money.
Mar 10, 2025 · Darlena SamlaskaMy Pomeranian was in need of dental work so I came here because it was recommend by a friend. First I struggled just to get inside the doors due to no automatic door/handicap button. I had both a stroller and my dog so my hands were pretty full and it was a failed attempt for anyone to offer help until I was already through the door. I wasn’t even greeted or asked my name, a young lady just looked at me and told me to wait in the patient room. I was in the room for an hour between waiting for the vet techs and vet to simply examine my dog give him a rabies shot and get him on his way. Mind you, I had a baby with me. After explaining to the vet how I had to hold off on dental work for my dog recently due to it being too expensive she assured me it would be cheaper than it was when I brought him in to his old vet in CALIFORNIA, where they estimated me at $750. However, when the vet tech showed me their estimate I was absolutely baffled. This vet estimated my dogs dental work to cost me between $2,000-$3,000. What a joke. After speaking to a family friend of mine, whose grandmother is a vet, they assured me they could take care of my boy at an appropriate rate. My dog got his dental work done at Leidall Vet Services in Rochester, MN. He had a full dental cleaning as well as 6 teeth extractions. They supplied me with antibiotics and pain medication. All of that cost me a total of $345… unless this is your absolute last resort, I do not recommend you waste your time or money here.
Jan 29, 2025 · Julia EastonI moved to New Richmond 3 years ago from the cities and my animals needed a new vet. I had tried a couple close by and New Richmond vet clinic was clean, the staff was inviting, friendly, and the pricing was lower than the others in the area. What surprised me was they are still higher than I was paying in the cities (a little backwards in my opinion) but I save a 30 min drive. Overall I recommend them over the others in the area as I have tried most of them. Thank you NRVC!
