My Char-Lee loves this daycare. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can clearly tell they love animals. I want to say everything I said above is correct. However they need to teach staff and owners about dog behavior. Char-Lee was an adopted dog I say they are not cheap but they're not very expensive either. Anyway when Char-Lee started attending this doggy daycare he was about 4 months old, he was a shy dog. About a year after Char-Lee started going to this daycare he became very aggressive towards men at that time the staff was predominantly females. Later they hired some male attendants and there was an issue. They told me that Char-Lee didn't like men it was a on going joke if a robbery happens they going to get Char-Lee because they know he would protect them. These new male attendants weren't introduced to Char-Lee I don't even think he knew about him. Any how I still say they are a good place. They expelled Char-Lee the owner called him sick which he wasn't. It's been a year and I have introduced him to other men at the dog park, and while there met a dog walker who has had no problems with Char-Lee. From a professional when gave them all the facts they said the daycare handled the situation improperly.

Welcome to Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital
Welcome to Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital, a unique establishment located at 961 Morrissey Blvd, Dorchester, MA 02122, USA. Serving the Dorchester community and surrounding areas, Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital combines the convenience of a pet store with the comprehensive care of an animal hospital, offering a wide range of services and goods for your beloved animal companions. This integrated approach aims to be a one-stop destination for all your pet-related needs.
As a pet store, Neponset Pet Center likely offers a variety of products for your pets, including food, toys, accessories, and other supplies. While specific details about the range of products available are not mentioned in the provided reviews, a typical pet store aims to provide essential items to support the health and well-being of various types of pets. This convenience allows local pet owners to purchase necessary supplies in the same location where they might also seek veterinary care or utilize daycare services.
In its capacity as an animal hospital, Neponset Pet Center offers veterinary services for your pets. One отзыв mentions taking a cat, Rudy, in for a corneal ulcer, requiring weekly visits for about a month. During this time, Rudy was seen by four different veterinarians at the facility, all of whom were described as "very nice and helpful and great with him." This suggests that the animal hospital employs a team of veterinarians capable of providing medical care for various conditions. The отзыв also specifically praises a vet tech named Olivia for her gentle and calming approach during examinations, highlighting the compassionate care provided by the staff.
Another service offered at Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital is doggy daycare. One отзыв details a customer's experience bringing their adopted dog, Char-Lee, to the daycare starting at a young age. The initial impression was positive, with the staff described as "friendly and helpful" and appearing to love animals. However, the отзыв also raises a concern regarding the handling of dog behavior, specifically the development of aggression towards men in a dog that was initially shy. The отзыв suggests a potential lack of proper introduction protocols for new male staff members and a misunderstanding of the dog's behavioral cues, ultimately leading to the dog's expulsion.
Despite the negative experience with the doggy daycare's handling of the behavioral issue, the отзыв still acknowledges that Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital is generally a "good place." This suggests that while there may have been shortcomings in one area, other aspects of the facility, such as the veterinary care, may still be of value to pet owners.
The отзыв from the owner of Rudy, the cat with a corneal ulcer, provides further insight into the positive aspects of the animal hospital. They highlight the convenient location and the kindness, helpfulness, and patience of everyone who works there. The positive experience with multiple veterinarians and a specific vet tech underscores the commitment to providing good medical care and a comfortable experience for both pets and their owners.
The отзыв also mentions a recommendation from another pet-related business, "It's A Pet's World" in Weymouth, indicating a level of trust and positive reputation within the local pet care community. This cross-referral suggests that Neponset Pet Center & Animal Hospital is recognized by other pet professionals in the area.
Regarding the environment, one отзыв mentions that the staff are friendly and helpful and clearly love animals. The other отзыв focuses on the kindness and patience of the staff within the animal hospital setting. While specific details about the physical layout or ambiance of the pet store and animal hospital sections are not provided, the emphasis on friendly and caring staff suggests a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners.

Apr 03, 2025 · Vanessa TateWe started going to Neponset upon recommendation from someone at It's A Pet's World in Weymouth. The location is perfect for us, and everyone who works there is so kind and helpful and patient. We've gone a couple times for our cats, but most recently we've been taking our cat Rudy in for a corneal ulcer. We had to go in every week for about a month to track his progress, and he saw 4 of the vets that work there, and each one was very nice and helpful and great with him. Special shout out to the vet tech Olivia, who saw him a couple of times. She was so gentle with him and helped us keep him calm during the exams.
Dec 17, 2024 · Jace WilliamsPLEASE READ AND LOOK CAREFULLY BEFORE BRING YOUR PET HERE I took him to this place a few days ago and I was shocked when I picked him up. My pup was shaking, scared and depressed. He had a wound on his balls which I did not noticed until I got home. Both of his ears were so dirty and one of them was bleeding. I gave them a call to ask about the problem and they said it was normal. The way they did and answered my phone was really irresponsible and careless. They totally did not care what happened to my pup. The groomer was unprofessional as well. She knew it but she hides it from us and pretend like nothing happened. I feel so guilty for leaving my pup here. If you love your pet and want them to be safe just stay away from this place. This place is so awful!
Sep 10, 2022 · KIMMIE LUUThis is my first time using the Pet center and I am extremely pleased with my visit today. I recently rescued two kittens and needed a check up for both, a few vaccines and had just general questions. The staff is extremely kind and friendly and the actual Veterinarian himself was amazing. Our vet tech was great and was super helpful and knowledgeable. We have had our kittens for 2 weeks and they handle the cats with care and we’re very gentle. I’m very thankful for this choice!
Jan 22, 2023 · R VVeterinarians are certainly capable as we've been taking our 3 dogs here for the last 1.5 years and the staff is nice... but the inflated cost and rationale is absurd. My dog had a laceration on his ear, was bleeding profusely, and the difference to have it cleaned/wrapped vs. cauterization/stitches was >$500. I understand it's more expensive whenever a dog needs to be sedated to treat a wound, but not only is the price unreasonable on a standalone basis, especially when this wasn't an ER trip - it's really the upcharges for the same services provided in either scenario that is infuriating. The cost comparison picture should put this in perspective for any pet owner - but to increase the price for the first 3 items (Office Visit, Nursing and Wound Clip and Cleaning) from one situation to the other is price gouging, but then to also add in the final 3 line items (Hospitalization, Laceration Repair and Surgical Monitoring) on top of those upcharges, just because they can, is not how I do business. I gave them the opportunity to explain and adjust it - the explanation as you may imagine was that this is the cost for this option, period. Needless to say, we left and went to another about 15 minutes further away that we've used in the past - but they're about 30% more affordable. Side note - i despise how Neponset has tried to upsell me at most other visits (i.e. blood work, dental hygiene and medication {they include the most expensive medication they sell when there are cheaper options available - but you have to ask/push}).
