Under the care of Dr. Rebecca Jester, this practice operates as a unique "Pet Hospital" that focuses on holistic and integrative veterinary medicine, aiming to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities. The environment at Natural Healing Veterinary Acupuncture is designed to be calm and comforting, specifically tailored for modalities that require a relaxed state for the patient. While a traditional "pet hospital" might evoke images of bustling clinics, this specialized setting likely emphasizes a tranquil atmosphere conducive to healing and relaxation. Clients report that pets, such as a dog falling asleep during acupuncture, feel comfortable enough to relax deeply during sessions. This suggests a quiet space where the focus is entirely on the individual animal, allowing for a personalized and soothing experience. The practice aims to create an environment where pets can be at ease, aiding in the effectiveness of the treatments offered. This approach is particularly beneficial for animals that may experience stress or anxiety in conventional veterinary settings.
The services provided by Dr. Rebecca Jester at Natural Healing Veterinary Acupuncture are centered around holistic modalities, often integrated with conventional veterinary approaches. Dr. Jester has over 16 years of experience providing holistic support, pain relief, and rehabilitation for pets. The primary services include:
- Veterinary Acupuncture: This is the cornerstone of the practice. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the body's natural pain-relieving and healing processes. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including pain (especially chronic pain), reduced appetite, nerve dysfunction, musculoskeletal injuries, and other conditions that may or may not have responded to traditional medicine.
- Herbal Medicine: The incorporation of specific herbs and supplements into a pet's treatment plan to provide nutritional and physiological support, aiding the body's healing processes. This can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or conventional treatments.
- Therapeutic Laser Treatment: Utilizing therapeutic laser to stimulate local healing of soft tissues and joints, and to reduce inflammation. This non-invasive modality can be integrated into acupuncture sessions.
- Basic Massage and Stretching Techniques: These techniques are incorporated into treatment sessions to relax the pet, ease the insertion of needles, and help the body regain function and mobility.
- Holistic Consultations: Dr. Jester offers holistic consultations, which may involve a comprehensive review of a pet's extensive history and clinical condition, leading to an individualized treatment approach. These consultations are for those seeking an integrative perspective on their pet's health.
The philosophy is to find the best treatment approach for each individual animal, whether that involves holistic modalities in lieu of or in addition to conventional medical approaches already being received by the pet. This integrative medicine approach means that Dr. Jester works to complement traditional veterinary care, providing an additional layer of support for complex or chronic conditions. Services are often provided in 60-minute acupuncture therapy sessions, which may also include laser treatment. For those seeking a brief evaluation without acupuncture, 30-minute sessions are also available. Payment is expected at the time of service, and they accept cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards. It is important to note their 24-hour cancellation policy to avoid a full session charge.
The key features that distinguish Natural Healing Veterinary Acupuncture and Dr. Rebecca Jester's practice are:

Nov 08, 2024 · joann malandruccoloDr. Jester is a miracle worker. She’s helped our rescue to get so many dogs walking and improved their general quality of life. She’s open and honest if a dog isn’t improving and always is willing to help. I can’t recommend her enough.
Nov 03, 2024 · April ShahumDr. Becky is so wonderful. She has helped my pup Dude get through old age as his previously repaired limbs got sore & stuff. The acupuncture & laser treatments really gave him a better quality of life as he aged. His sister is even better @ letting the needles do their magic. If you have an ailing fur baby, visit Dr. Becky.
Aug 05, 2024 · Teresa PetersonAmazing! Dr Jester is fantastic! I was traveling far from home and my buddy needed some neck work. She squeezed us and made sure he was able to get some care. Prior to the visit he was having trouble walking from the pain, after the visit he was sitting up tall in the front seat and looking around like it was a brand new world. I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders as well. Dr Jester went out of her way to help us and I am extremely appreciative.
