I have been taking my pets there for years. They are so compassionate and truly care for everyone's pets like they were there's. When I had to put down my Sammie boy the entire staff were so kind . I would highly recommend them to everyone. The entire staff are the best ❤️. This is my Bella girl she just turned a year old and they love her

Below is my original review,however I wanted to update my review as we have been going to NVC for a while and we STILL love them. They are wonderful with our fur babies and genuinely care about our babies and their work. It is refreshing to see how excited Victoria is every time we go in the front door. Our first experience with Nansemond Veterinary Clinic and already we are in love. The staff is wonderfully kind and amazing. We are looking forward to many years of love for our sweet Victoria!

They got me in fairly quickly and the price wasn't terrible they really enjoyed playing with the cat and seemed to have a pretty good attitude unlike some of the other vets in the area. Didn't have any issues with the staff didn't have any issues with the waiting room or how long I did have to wait as I was 15 to 20 minutes early to my appointment. They didn't try to push any extra stuff on me or any extra treatments or optional shots or anything like that, which I really appreciate because I've had that issue before where I spent way more money than what I should have for treatments that don't really align with my animals.

My boss recommended this vet to me for my 11 year old Dane mix. They got me in within 1 day of calling to request an appointment because I needed a medication refill and they were so incredibly affordable compared to the vet I was going to. I got her arthritis medicine, her nails trimmed, a full exam, necessary vaccines, and a long supply of joint supplements for such an affordable price. They were also very nice and had a very warm presence with my baby girl! I will be taking my other dog there as well!

We have 6 dogs... 3 chihuahuas, 1 pit, 1 german shepard, and 1 shepard/lab mix. Dr. Cochran is so awesome with all 6! We've experienced broken limbs, a liter of puppies, putting a sick dog down, pneumonia... you name it, and we have gone through it with our dogs at Nansemond Vet Clinic! I won't dare ever take my dogs anywhere else! Dr. Cochran and her staff (minus Raymond... he's disrespectful and rude to you and your dog!) are so caring, loving, experienced, and knowledgeable! They take their time with you to make sure your questions are answered and you understand everything every step of your visit!
