Amazing people. Brought our daughter’s horse there for imaging. Staff had our daughter involved in every step, using props to explain things & had her involved in the hands on exams, showing her what to look/feel for. Dr Grant personally introduced himself to her, shook her hand & dove right into it with her. All the staff was incredible nice & professional. Had the meds, write ups explained before leaving. Made sure we got loaded okay. Emailed us & our usual vet the results & images within 20 minutes from leaving their facility. Cannot say enough nice things about everyone there!!!!

Welcome to Myhre Equine Clinic

Myhre Equine Clinic, located at 100 Ten Rod Rd, Rochester, NH 03867, USA, stands as a premier "Pet Hospital" specializing in the unique and complex needs of horses. While the general category might be "Pet Hospital," Myhre Equine Clinic is specifically an advanced equine veterinary facility, providing a wide range of specialized services and goods tailored exclusively for horses. For consultations, emergencies, or inquiries, they can be reached at (603) 335-4777 or via mobile at +1 603-335-4777.

The environment at Myhre Equine Clinic is designed to be highly professional, efficient, and, most importantly, comforting for horses and their owners. As a specialized equine facility, it is equipped with dedicated spaces for advanced diagnostics, treatment, and potential overnight stays. The staff's approach to the environment extends beyond the physical space to the interaction with both the equine patients and their human companions. Client testimonials emphasize an atmosphere of genuine care and professionalism. The staff actively involves owners, including younger ones, in the examination process, using props and hands-on explanations. This educational and engaging approach transforms a potentially stressful vet visit into a more positive and understandable experience for all involved. The efficiency of their operations, such as quickly sending results and images, also contributes to a streamlined and less stressful experience for owners.

Myhre Equine Clinic offers an extensive array of specialized veterinary services catering exclusively to horses. Their capabilities are geared towards providing comprehensive care, from routine health maintenance to advanced diagnostics and emergency interventions. While not explicitly detailed, their services likely include:

  • Advanced Diagnostic Imaging: As highlighted by a client bringing their horse for imaging, Myhre Equine Clinic possesses state-of-the-art equipment for detailed internal examinations. This would typically include digital radiography (X-rays), ultrasonography, and potentially more advanced modalities like MRI or CT scans, crucial for diagnosing lameness, injuries, and internal conditions.
  • Lameness Evaluation and Treatment: Given the importance of imaging in horses, lameness diagnostics and treatment would be a core service. This involves identifying the cause of lameness and developing appropriate treatment plans, which might include therapeutic injections, physical therapy, or specialized shoeing.
  • Equine Sports Medicine: For performance horses, this would include pre-purchase exams, conditioning advice, and management of athletic injuries.
  • Internal Medicine: Diagnosis and management of various internal diseases affecting the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and other systems.
  • Surgery: Equine hospitals typically offer a range of surgical procedures, from routine to complex, potentially including colic surgery, orthopedic procedures, and soft tissue surgeries.
  • Preventative Health Care: This includes routine vaccinations, deworming programs, nutritional counseling, and comprehensive wellness exams to maintain optimal equine health.
  • Emergency and Urgent Care: As a specialized facility, they are equipped to handle equine emergencies, offering critical care when needed. The mention of a client seeking a vet who would "provide emergency care should the need arise" implies this is a key offering.
  • Mobile Veterinary Services (Ambulatory Services): Dr. A Warneke's visit to a client's farm for examinations and vaccines demonstrates their mobile capabilities, allowing them to provide convenient on-site care for horses who may be difficult to transport or for routine preventative services.
  • Reproductive Services: For breeding programs, this would include mare and foal care, breeding soundness exams, and artificial insemination.
  • Equine Dentistry: Specialized dental care for horses, including routine floats and addressing dental pathologies.
  • Podiatry: Expert care for equine hooves and related structures, often in collaboration with farriers.

The defining features of Myhre Equine Clinic, as overwhelmingly communicated by client testimonials, are their exceptional staff, advanced capabilities, and a profoundly compassionate, educational approach to equine care. The "amazing people," including "Doctors, Techs & staff," are consistently praised for being "incredibly nice & professional." This holistic commendation highlights a cohesive team dedicated to excellence. Dr. Grant's personal introduction to a young horse owner and direct involvement in hands-on exams, explaining concepts with "props," exemplify their commitment to client education and engagement. This empowers owners and makes them feel like integral parts of their horse's care team.

Dr. A Warneke is similarly lauded for her "knowledge and compassion," taking the time to "get to know us and our needs" during a farm visit. This personalized approach, even for routine appointments, builds strong client relationships and fosters trust. The efficiency of providing "results & images within 20 minutes from leaving their facility" is a testament to their streamlined operations and dedication to prompt communication, a critical feature for anxious owners awaiting diagnoses.

The ability to handle emergency cases and provide mobile veterinary services (ambulatory care) is another crucial feature, offering flexibility and accessibility for horse owners, especially those in more remote areas or with horses unsuitable for transport. Their comprehensive offerings, from imaging to general exams, underscore their capability as a full-service equine hospital.

From a promotional standpoint, Myhre Equine Clinic's reputation is heavily driven by word-of-mouth based on overwhelmingly positive client experiences. Phrases like "Cannot say enough nice things about everyone there!!!!" and "I would definitely recommend Myhre Equine clinic" are powerful endorsements. The detailed accounts of staff compassion, professional conduct, and the educational approach for owners, particularly children, resonate deeply with the equine community. The emphasis on individual attention, quick turnaround for results, and the willingness of veterinarians to travel to farms serve as compelling reasons for new clients to choose their services.

While no specific promotional discounts are mentioned, the inherent value of expert, compassionate, and comprehensive equine care, combined with the convenience of mobile services and efficient communication, forms their strongest promotional platform. The confidence and trust instilled by their highly skilled and personable staff, as highlighted by multiple clients, are invaluable assets that naturally attract and retain clients in the specialized field of equine veterinary medicine. Their dedication to making difficult situations, like imaging for lameness, as positive and informative as possible, makes them a highly sought-after facility for horse owners in New Hampshire and beyond.

I would definitely recommend Myhre Equine clinic for your horses needs. Recently our long time vet in the North Country retired on short notice. After looking for a vet that would travel, and provide emergency care should the need arise, we made an appointment with Myhre Equine Clinic. Dr. A Warneke came to our farm last week, examined both our horses, administered vaccines, and took the time to get to know us and our needs. She offered helpful advice moving forward. My husband and I were very impressed with her knowledge and compassion! Thank you so much for a pleasant experience!
