My dog injured his knee back in 2018. The Vet said it was an ACL injury and recommended I try the Mutt Knee brace vs surgery. I gathered the measurements sent them in and the brace arrived after a couple of weeks. He got used to it pretty quickly and would come to me first thing in the morning to put it on. We used it for about 1 year after which he was running as if nothing had ever happened and I am glad I didn't have to subject him to the surgery. I know It's a little late, but I was just looking at him sleeping beside me and it reminded me of what might have been. Meathead is a mastiff and was about 7 months at the time of his accident. Thank you very much.

Welcome to MuttKnee Brace

Welcome to the introduction of MuttKnee Brace, located at 1635 S Overland Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80526, USA. While the name might suggest a specific product, MuttKnee Brace operates within the platform category of Pet Hospital, indicating they provide veterinary care services, particularly focusing on orthopedic solutions for pets. They can be contacted at (970) 295-4381 or via their mobile number +1 970-295-4381.

Information about the typical environment of MuttKnee Brace as a Pet Hospital is not explicitly detailed. However, based on the services they appear to offer, one might expect a facility equipped for consultations, measurements for custom braces, and potentially fitting adjustments. Unlike a traditional animal hospital that handles a broad range of medical issues, MuttKnee Brace seems to specialize in orthopedic support, particularly knee braces for dogs. Therefore, the environment would likely be tailored to these specific needs, possibly including space for gait analysis or movement assessment. The positive review mentioning a veterinarian recommending their brace suggests a professional and medically-oriented setting, even if it's specialized.

The primary service offered by MuttKnee Brace appears to be the provision of custom-fitted knee braces for dogs, particularly for injuries like ACL tears. This offers a non-surgical alternative that some veterinarians recommend. Based on the customer reviews, their services include:

  • Consultation (likely involving measurements) to determine the need and specifications for a knee brace.
  • Creation and shipping of custom Mutt Knee Braces.
  • Follow-up support, potentially including virtual consultations (like FaceTime) to assist with fitting.
  • Remaking parts of the brace if the initial fit is incorrect.

While the focus seems to be on knee braces, the fact that they are listed as a Pet Hospital suggests they likely work in conjunction with or under the guidance of veterinary professionals to provide these orthopedic solutions. It's plausible they might also offer advice or recommendations related to the use and care of the braces.

The features of MuttKnee Brace, as highlighted by the customer experiences, include:

  • A non-surgical alternative for ACL injuries in dogs, which can be a significant benefit for owners wishing to avoid surgery. One owner reported their dog recovered fully after a year of using the brace.
  • Custom-made braces based on the dog's measurements.
  • Collaboration with veterinarians, as evidenced by a Humane Society being recommended to use their braces by a vet.
  • Potential for positive outcomes, with one large breed dog (Mastiff) recovering well with the brace.

However, some significant issues were also raised by another customer:

  • Problems with administrative processes, such as not providing a receipt after charging the credit card.
  • Difficulties with the initial fit of the brace, requiring parts to be sent back for remaking.
  • Lack of responsiveness to follow-up communications (calls and emails) regarding unresolved issues like the ill-fitting brace and the missing receipt.

These contrasting experiences indicate that while the product itself can be beneficial, there might be inconsistencies in customer service and administrative processes.

Regarding promotional information, the positive testimonial from the owner whose Mastiff recovered without surgery serves as a powerful endorsement for the effectiveness of the Mutt Knee Brace as an alternative to surgery. This real-life success story could attract local users seeking non-invasive solutions for their dog's knee injuries. However, there is no mention of specific discounts or promotional offers in the provided text. The primary promotion seems to be the potential benefit of their product as a viable alternative to surgery, as vouched for by a satisfied customer and recommended by a collaborating veterinarian.

In summary, MuttKnee Brace in Fort Collins, CO, operates as a Pet Hospital specializing in providing custom knee braces for dogs, particularly for ACL injuries, offering a non-surgical alternative. While one customer reported a very positive outcome with their dog's recovery, another experienced significant issues with the order process, the initial fit of the brace, and the company's responsiveness. Local users considering MuttKnee Brace might be drawn to the potential benefits of their orthopedic solutions but should also be aware of the reported challenges with customer service and order fulfillment. To learn more about their specific services, the process of obtaining a brace, and any guarantees or support they offer, it is advisable to contact them directly at (970) 295-4381 or +1 970-295-4381.

Mutt Knee Brace was recommended by a veterinarian that our non-profit Humane Society collaborates with. We are caring for a mastiff who was experiencing ACL issues. Before subjecting her to surgery, the vet recommended offering her relief by way of a brace. The vet took the dogs' measurements and we created an order for a custom brace with Mutt Knee Brace back in early December of 2023. Mutt Knee Brace charged our credit card in full but provided no receipt. We called and emailed to request documentation of the expense for our bookkeeper but they never sent us anything. A 5- 6 weeks later the brace arrived. Try as we may, we couldn't make it fit. After FaceTimeing with Mutt Knee Brace they informed us that brace was too big, so they asked us to mail back certain parts of it so they could remake them, which we did, but not before reminded them that we still needed a receipt for the order. We waited another month. Some parts came, others did not. The brace didn't fit and there was still no receipt. Again we contacted them to troubleshoot, but they have not returned our multiple calls or emails. I'm glad to hear this company has helped pets in need. I'm hoping our experience is a fluke and that (since they are not returning our calls or emails) they will see this review and make things right. We have had a very disappointing experience.

My 160 Rotty tore his ACL on the right side and was having a hard time. I researched and found an alternative to surgery for my big boy. I found Muttknee Brace and couldn't be happier. I actually started this post in 2015 but never finished it for some reason. Its now 2017 and I have to say what a great product they have. My boy is doing great and I believe its do to this product, really helped him get to this point. On a personal note, at the time, I was not financially in a good way and the ladies of Muttknee Brace really came through helping to get the product to me due to their love for animals and the kind hearts they have.

I was never able to use the brace I bought for my dog. We thought he had a torn ACL. However, he had an aggressive form of bone cancer and we had to have him put down before we could use the brace. We donated the brace back to MuttKnee Brace, in hopes that someone could use it at no cost. I wish I had a better story to tell, but this was our story. My dog was very large, 170 pounds. I can say that MuttKnee Brace was able to make a brace for our big guy.
