Don’t take your cat to this hospital. The doctor doesn’t have enough knowledge about cat with existing conditions. I took my cat to do a follow up check up on his condition because he was previously in ER and diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor said he will check on him but all he did was ask me to take the cat out of the carrier and he listened to his lung and then confirmed that he had fluid in his lung. I brought my cat’s medical history and X-ray images and medications he is taking. Dr. Oh said he want to take another Xray and will cost me $248. I refused because I don’t see the point taking another x ray because my cat is uncomfortable and is already heard there’s fluid in his lung. So I asked Dr. Oh if he can give him some treatment to make him feel better and started eating. He gave my cat a steroid shot as treatment but my cat later got worse and died that night. I took my cat to ER again then the ER doctor asked what shot he was taken. He said that steroid will suppress his immune system and it doesn’t help his lung infection at all. I am so sad and feel sorry to my cat that I make him suffer during the last stage of his life. So please be careful and do the research before giving any medication to your pet. don’t trust the doctors who pretend are caring for your pet, some are just for earning more money from you.

Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital: Kim Helen DVM Introduce
Located in Ontario, California, **Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital**, under the care of **Dr. Kim Helen DVM**, serves as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" for local pet owners. Situated at **1155 N Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762, USA**, the hospital aims to provide a range of veterinary services for cats and dogs in the surrounding communities. This introduction will provide an objective overview of the facility, drawing on publicly available information and customer feedback to detail its environment, services, features, and any known promotional aspects.
The environment at Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital is designed to be welcoming for pets and their owners. While specific visual details about the interior décor are not extensively highlighted in general information, the hospital's stated commitment to "treating our patients with compassionate hearts, gentle hands, kind words, and superior care" suggests an atmosphere where comfort and calmness are prioritized. The facility's operating hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays, demonstrate their accessibility for routine and urgent care needs, aiming to accommodate varied schedules of pet owners in the Ontario area. An organized and clean facility is generally expected of a professional veterinary practice, contributing to a reassuring experience for animals and their human companions. The front office staff often play a crucial role in shaping the initial impression, and a positive interaction at check-in can significantly reduce stress for pet owners.
Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services for both canine and feline patients. These services are typically foundational to a general practice "Pet Hospital" and include, but are not limited to, general wellness and preventative care. This encompasses **routine examinations**, vital for monitoring overall health and detecting early signs of illness, as well as **vaccinations** tailored to protect pets from common diseases. **Parasite prevention** for fleas, ticks, and heartworms is also a standard offering. The hospital provides **diagnostic services**, which are crucial for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. These may include in-house laboratory testing for blood work and urinalysis, as well as imaging techniques such as **digital radiography (X-rays)** to assess internal conditions. In addition to medical care, Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital offers **pet grooming** services, which can contribute to a pet's overall hygiene and comfort. The facility also provides **urgent pet care**, catering to situations that require prompt attention but may not be life-threatening emergencies. Furthermore, specialized treatments like **pet laser therapy** are offered, which can be beneficial for pain management, wound healing, and reducing inflammation. The availability of an **online pharmacy** allows pet owners to conveniently order prescription medications, specialized foods, and other pet products, streamlining the refill process and offering manufacturer rebates and coupons.
The features of Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital, as gleaned from customer reviews and general information, present a mixed picture. On one hand, there is strong positive feedback highlighting a long-standing commitment to pet care. One long-term client enthusiastically states, "The doctors here have been taken care of all 4 of my dogs in the past 15 years I give them the highest recommendations and nations the employees always do their best to make us feel welcome." This testimonial points to a consistent level of care and a welcoming staff over an extended period, which is a significant positive indicator for continuity of care and client satisfaction. The availability of a new **online pharmacy** is a modern convenience feature, allowing for easier access to necessary medications and products. The hospital also promotes features like **"urgent pet care,"** indicating a readiness to address immediate health concerns that are not full-blown emergencies. Additionally, their website mentions a focus on compassionate hearts and gentle hands in their approach to patient care, which is a key characteristic pet owners seek. The provision of **pet grooming** and **laser therapy** indicates a broader approach to pet wellness beyond just medical treatments.
However, it is imperative to address a critical piece of feedback that highlights a significant concern for pet owners. One detailed review recounts a highly negative experience involving a cat with pneumonia. The client expressed severe dissatisfaction with the diagnostic approach and treatment, specifically mentioning a doctor's recommendation for an X-ray despite having recent images, and the administration of a steroid shot that, according to a subsequent ER veterinarian, was detrimental to the cat's condition, ultimately leading to the cat's passing. This review raises serious questions about the depth of knowledge for specific conditions, the diagnostic protocols, and the appropriateness of certain treatments. The sentiment of not trusting doctors "who pretend are caring for your pet, some are just for earning more money from you" underscores a profound breakdown of trust and highlights the potential for misjudgment or miscommunication in critical care situations. This particular feature, or rather, the potential for such experiences, is a significant point of consideration for prospective clients and emphasizes the importance of thorough research and open communication with any veterinary provider.
Regarding promotional information, Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital has an active online presence with a "new online pharmacy" and encourages clients to "SHOP LOCAL!" and "VISIT OUR NEW ONLINE PHARMACY." They emphasize the convenience of authorizing medication refills while clients wait and the streamlining of manufacturer rebates and coupons through this platform. This is a key promotional effort, providing added value and convenience for repeat clients. While specific discount programs or first-time client offers are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, many veterinary practices offer such incentives. Pet owners are advised to inquire about **pet insurance acceptance**, as Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital, like other veterinarians, accepts pet insurance for accidents and illnesses, which can significantly reduce unexpected costs. They may also work with financing solutions such as CareCredit and Scratchpay for existing medical conditions, allowing for spaced-out payments. This information, found through general searches, suggests they are attuned to helping clients manage the financial aspects of pet care. For the most up-to-date information on any current promotions or special offers, interested individuals should directly contact the hospital at **(909) 986-4548** or **+1 909-986-4548**.
In conclusion, Mountain Avenue Animal Hospital, led by Dr. Kim Helen DVM, functions as a "Pet Hospital" in Ontario, CA, offering a broad spectrum of services for dogs and cats, including wellness, diagnostics, grooming, and laser therapy. Their strong point is the long-term positive relationships with some clients who praise the consistent care and welcoming staff. However, the presence of a deeply concerning review regarding a specific case highlights potential areas for improvement in diagnostic and treatment protocols, particularly for complex existing conditions. Prospective clients should carefully consider both the positive testimonials and the critical feedback when making their decision, and engage in thorough discussions with the veterinary team about their pet's specific needs and treatment plans. The hospital's embrace of modern conveniences like an online pharmacy and acceptance of various payment solutions demonstrates an effort to enhance client experience and accessibility of care.
