I have decided to finally speak out about this vet hospital. Firstly, their customer service reps are very rude. Secondly, I'm absolutely convinced that with today's medicine my pet would have lived a longer life. The reason I'm speaking out is because when I switched vets and my other pet was diagnosed with cancer the vet office has been incredible with caring for her and it's going on two yrs. I know the inevitable will happen, but the two yrs I have had her in my life have been precious. I needed to finally get this off my chest and stop blaming myself for what happened to my pet. Dr Stewart and her staff can respond in any way they please, but it doesn't change the fact that I lost my fur baby too early.

Welcome to Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital, your local Pet Hospital located at 3320 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518, USA. As a Pet Hospital serving the Hamden community, we aim to provide veterinary care for your beloved animals. Based on feedback from pet owners, experiences at our hospital appear to be varied, and we encourage you to consider these perspectives as you make decisions about your pet's healthcare.

Regarding the environment and staff interaction, one customer expressed dissatisfaction, describing the customer service representatives as "very rude." This individual also voiced concerns about the outcome of their pet's health under our care. In contrast, another reviewer had a significantly positive experience, highlighting that "Dr. Stewart and her team" are a valuable resource for many animals. This reviewer praised the team for consistently going "above and beyond" in caring for pets, being accommodating in tough situations, and helping animals in distress. They also appreciated the advice and connections to other resources provided by the hospital. This suggests that while some pet owners have had negative experiences, others have found the care and support from Dr. Stewart and her team to be exceptional.

As a Pet Hospital, Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of veterinary services to address the health needs of your pets. These typically include medical examinations, vaccinations, treatments for illnesses and injuries, and potentially surgical procedures. Given that we are introducing this in the context of a platform category "Pet Hospital, which provides corresponding services or goods for sale," it is reasonable to infer that we may also have an on-site pharmacy to dispense medications prescribed during your pet's visit. This would allow for convenient access to necessary medications. However, the provided reviews do not specifically mention the pharmacy services. To understand the full scope of services, including pharmacy availability, we recommend contacting the hospital directly.

Features of Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital, based on the customer feedback, present a mixed view. One pet owner lauded Dr. Stewart and her team for their dedication, going above and beyond, and providing support in various ways, including direct care, advice, and resource connections. This suggests a strong commitment to animal welfare and a willingness to assist pet owners. However, another review highlighted rudeness from customer service and expressed doubt about the quality of care received for a past pet. It's important for potential clients to weigh these contrasting experiences. The positive review emphasizes the team's helpfulness in tough situations and their dedication to animals, including those less fortunate. This suggests a compassionate approach to veterinary medicine for some clients.

We and so many animals are fortunate to have Dr. Stewart and her team at Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital. They have always gone above and beyond to help care for our pets and have been especially accommodating in tough situations, helping animals in distress. Whether direct care, advice or connecting us to other resources, they are always looking for ways to help. We are beyond grateful for Dr. Stewart, her team, and everything she does to care for all animals. Thank you for all you do for us, our pets and those less fortunate furry friends who need help the most!

The female vet was very rude of blaming me not take my dog to another hospital and waited months for my dog eye’s discharge which she think it is normal for a cavalier to have eye discharge which… how self-contradictory?! So rude to patients

Brought my cat here a month ago because he scratched his eye. I was really lucky that there was an appointment available at Mount Carmel Vet Hospital. At first, I was weary that they may not be good hence the opening while all other vets are fully booked. To my surprise, I had a great experience here! The vet was very patient in answering all my questions. She was very knowledgeable and didn't push for any extra services. Garfield's eye is now healed! Really appreciate the vet we saw and I would highly recommend others to this vet.

If I could I would give this vet a ZERO star review. I took my dog here because he was showing signs of extreme cough, shortness of breath and fever. She gave him no medication, no ivy, no breathing treatment, no alternative care. I am showing a picture of him below. I am no vet but my dog needed care and did not receive it. My dog ended up passing. I also met another person who also had an altercation and left this vet. Please, do not take your dog here!
