I adopted my sweet boy, Whisker Doodle, in Sept. 2023. My poor kitty has had so many medical troubles in such a short time frame, I've ended up at the Vet's office probably 6 times in the first year. Milcreek has been amazing. They've always made me feel like they actually care for my sweet boy and calmed me down through all the stressful situations. ❤️ They have always made sure I understand everything happening, walked me through any pricing, questions, etc. I have had nothing short of the best experience and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

Based on customer reviews, Millcreek Animal Hospital has garnered both high praise for their compassionate care and some criticism regarding price transparency. One pet owner who adopted their cat, Whisker Doodle, experienced multiple health issues with their new pet within the first year, leading to several visits to Millcreek. This client expressed immense satisfaction with the hospital, stating that they were always made to feel like the staff genuinely cared for their cat and provided reassurance during stressful times. They also appreciated the clear communication regarding procedures, pricing, and any questions they had. This reviewer concluded that they had consistently received the "best experience" and could not imagine going anywhere else, highlighting the caring and communicative aspects of the hospital.

However, another customer initially shared a less positive experience regarding the clarity of pricing for their two cats' yearly check-up and vaccinations. They reported receiving a quote of $206 total, but the final bill amounted to $430 due to additional charges for the feline leukemia vaccine and labs, which they were not initially informed about. They also pointed out that their indoor-only adult cats did not necessarily require the feline leukemia vaccine. The customer expressed frustration with the lack of upfront price transparency and the scheduling of a booster shot that would incur further costs. This initial review raised concerns about communication regarding pricing and the necessity of certain treatments.

Subsequently, the same customer updated their review to a more positive four stars after speaking with someone named Sherry, which led to a partial refund due to the miscommunication. The reviewer expressed hope for improved communication from the medical team in the future regarding vaccine options and price transparency. This indicates that while there was an initial issue with clarity, the hospital took steps to rectify the situation and address the customer's concerns, suggesting a willingness to resolve issues and improve communication.

Considering these reviews, the environment at Millcreek Animal Hospital appears to be one where the staff is generally perceived as caring and empathetic towards both pets and their owners. The positive review highlights a comforting atmosphere where pet owners feel supported during stressful times and receive clear explanations. The initial negative feedback, followed by a resolution, suggests that while the intention to provide good care may be present, there was a lapse in clear communication regarding costs and the necessity of certain procedures. Moving forward, a greater emphasis on upfront transparency would likely enhance the overall client experience.

In terms of services, Millcreek Animal Hospital offers routine check-ups and vaccinations, as mentioned in the reviews. They also handle medical troubles and provide treatments, as indicated by the first reviewer's experience with their cat's multiple health issues. The mention of specific vaccines and labs suggests they offer diagnostic services and preventative care. As a 'Pet Hospital', it is reasonable to assume they provide a broader range of services, potentially including dental care, surgical procedures, and treatment for various illnesses and injuries. The willingness to discuss medical treatment and pricing indicates a comprehensive approach to pet care.

The key features of Millcreek Animal Hospital appear to be a caring and empathetic staff who strive to make pet owners feel supported and informed. They generally provide clear explanations and are willing to address concerns, as evidenced by the resolution of the pricing discrepancy. However, a potential area for improvement, as highlighted by one review, is ensuring complete price transparency and clear communication about the necessity and costs of all recommended treatments upfront.

*initial 2 star review* They’re nice and all but when I called to schedule our yearly and vaccinations for my two cats, I asked how much it would be and got a quote that included both cats and their vaccinations for $206 TOTAL. So imagine my surprise when I go to pay and it’s $430… because I wasn’t informed that the feline leukemia vaccine and labs were an additional $100 per cat… my cats are also INDOOR ONLY adults, so they didn’t even need the feline leukemia vaccine. When I brought this to the receptionists attention, she basically said oh well and then scheduled my cats for a booster in 4 weeks, an ADDITIONAL $75 per cat. Zero resolution and I didn’t know what to do but pay the $430… and then the audacity to ask for another $150 in 4 weeks. This is why people don’t take their pets to the vet, ZERO price transparency and I didn’t have any option but to pay for it even though we don’t necessarily have that extra money since we just had a baby. *updated 4 stars* After speaking with Sherry, they were able to rectify the situation. They provided me a partial refund because of the miscommunication between myself and the nurse. I hope that in the future, their medical team is better informed on the different vaccines, our options as pet owners, and provides price transparency UPFRONT.

The doctor and her nurses are always helpful to my fur babies I really love the compassion she has for animals you can tell when she gets down on the floor with a pocket full of treats to look over my dog.

This was not a good experience. Took my kitten in and had horrible follow up care post surgery. They wouldn't answer their phone. I usually had to call at least 3 times. My kitten was very stressed in their office considering it was dirty, they have office cats wandering around which stresses a cat out if they aren't use to seeing other cats. No seperate space for cats and dogs were wandering past her in the waiting room barking. The nurse who took her back held her weird as if she never picked up a cat before. Never even met the vet herself. We won't go back. Took her to a new vet and she was her normal curious stress-free self.

The staff at Millcreek are the best!! They’re so loving, kind and really do care about your pets. Our dog had a sudden seizure, I called in tears asking what to do and they were so compassionate. They explained what to expect once he came out of the seizure and how to keep him comfortable. They also made room in the schedule to bring him in to be examined. I will forever be grateful for all they did for our pup that day. We will 1000% be back for all our vet needs ❤️
