Came across this review and had to set the record straight. Found Dr. Haddad, then owner of North Main St Veterinary Clinic, in the early 90's and never looked back. Had been to veterinarians in Canton, Sharon, Stoughton, Randolph and Weymouth, but NMSV was where we stayed for 3 decades, thanks to Dr. Haddad and his very remarkable staff. Dr. Haddad never overcharged, but often, under charged for his services. Always received multi pet discounts and was never discouraged from piggy backing visits to save money and that we did, but more importantly, we received top notch care. He likely wasn't the best businessman, but he was far an away the best and most dedicated and caring veterinarian. A very humble and hard working man, he stayed on after selling to VCN. Through personal and physical issues he worked far past retirement because he cared so deeply. He is a dedicated vet who served out country in the 25th infantry division in Vietnam. Dedicated to caring for military dogs to this day. There aren't enough stars to properly award this outstanding veterinarian and human being. For ever grateful for the care he provided all our loves.

With the clinic now operating as VCA North Main Street Veterinary Clinic, it benefits from the broader VCA network's resources and standards. This likely means a modern and professional facility, equipped to handle a wide range of veterinary needs. The VCA clinic's online presence describes it as a "full-service veterinary medical facility" committed to providing "the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners." This suggests a clean, organized, and adequately staffed environment designed to offer comprehensive services. The clinic aims for "hometown care" backed by "world-class medicine," a common VCA promise.
The history of Dr. Haddad as the previous owner suggests a legacy of community focus and personalized care. Even after selling the clinic, his continued presence underscores a deep-seated commitment to the animals and people he served for decades.
Based on the current offerings of VCA North Main Street Veterinary Clinic (which carries on the legacy from Dr. Haddad's time), and typical services provided by a general "Pet Hospital," clients can expect a broad spectrum of veterinary care. This includes:
-
Preventative and Wellness Care: This is fundamental for maintaining long-term pet health. Services would include routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations (for both dogs and cats), parasite prevention and control, and nutritional counseling. The goal is to detect and address potential health issues early on.
-
Diagnostic Services: The clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic tools such as digital radiography (X-rays) for imaging bones and internal organs. They likely also have in-house laboratory capabilities for blood tests, urinalysis, and other diagnostic screenings, allowing for quick and efficient assessment of a pet's health. Advanced diagnostics like echocardiography and EKG may also be available under the VCA umbrella.
-
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, including professional cleanings, polishing, and potentially extractions, are essential for oral health and overall well-being.

Nov 28, 2023 · N MuYears ago this was my vet. My dog had surgery on his paw. I didn't like that i was charged for a follow up visit. When i questioned why i was charged...Melvin Haddad told me not to come back there. I had to find another vet to remove the stitches. Thank God for Dr.John Curtin He took the stitches out and apologized for what happened.
