Our 4 month old puppy Zeus was referred here for a bowel obstruction. He made it through surgery ok, but he wasn’t bouncing back like he needed to. He wasn’t eating, and despite having the foreign body removed, he was still bloating and unable to pass anything. Then, due to circumstances out of everyone’s control, he aspirated. After that he continued to decline. His oxygen levels were terrible and our poor baby was gasping for air, despite being given the maximum amount of oxygen that machine could put out. He was so miserable that he wasn’t even the same puppy anymore. We decided the most loving thing we could do for him was to end his pain. All of the staff were so nice, understanding and respectful while not sugar coating Zeus’ situation. The vet said that sure, given enough time, his lungs should recover, but that was if his body didn’t start shutting down because of how low his oxygen level was. I didn’t want to make the decision, it felt too much like giving up on him, and I couldn’t bring myself to do it. But something the vet said struck a chord, he said “I get asked a lot how I can live with ending the lives of people's pets. I truly don’t see it that way. I see it as bringing their suffering to an end. Giving them peace.” I heard those words, and looked at Zeus. My normally goofy, happy, vocal, rambunctious puppy, who would ALWAYS have an enthusiastic tail wag and LOTS of kisses for us, just lay there. Gasping for air, looking at the wall with watery, lifeless eyes, and knew what we had to do. They truly go above and beyond to ease one of the most heartbreaking situations you can face as a pet owner. The room we were taken to was peaceful and made specifically for this situation, with soothing Lighting, the sound of the beach coming from a speaker, a comfy couch and tons of animal treats. As devastated as I was when the vet started pushing the medication, I knew we made the right decision the moment Zeus lost the frantic look in his eyes, his wheezing calmed and I swear I could see gratitude on his face. Little Zeus crossed the rainbow bridge on March 21st, 2025 at 11:13pm, and his last moments were nothing but love, kisses, hugs and peace. As much as I hate what happened, the staff couldn’t have made it a better experience. They did everything they could for our boy, kept us updated the entire time, and were very knowledgeable and understanding, even when I know I asked them questions no one could possibly have an answer for. They truly care about their patients, and are compassionate with us pet owners, even when we ask stupid questions and blubber over the phone like lunatics lol After Zeus passed, they even sent us a card in the mail with hand written condolences. So to the staff, thank you so much for everything you did for Zeus and the rest of my family at such a difficult time in our lives. I didn’t know I needed that card until I got it. Great care and communication every step of the way. We have been multiple times for issues with our dogs and I've always been pleased with the care and concern and expertise my dogs received. Dr. Snow, Patty and the nurse (I'm so sorry I forget Her name) all made a very stressful experience manageable and much easier to navigate. I'm thankful that a place that takes such great care of our dog was available to help us with his emergent care.

This place is a joke. My husband took my 3 month old emotional support animal there because it was the only place open close to our location. His health took a totally 180 in less than a day Now I no longer have him. He is currently being murdered by these people because I don’t have 5,000 to throw at them. They are basically saying animals mean nothing to them. Us humans can go to a hospital, be completely treated for whatever the issue is and get the bill mailed to us. Why can’t we have that for pets too. They are a part of the family just like any human member. I never even got to get a pet tag made for him as I only just got him. Do NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL they claim they have options for payment and such but you can’t get approval for any type of help apparently and they refuse to treat animals as soon as u say u can’t pay right that second. I was given the options of take him home to pass on his own while suffering or euthanize him. That shouldn’t ever be a persons only options for their fur babies. Guess my little baby Nemo will be emotionally supporting me from kitty heaven at this point. Honestly I wouldn’t even give a single star to this place but not giving one at all isn’t an option

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff and care was at MedVet..my Nico didn't make it through but they gave every effort and were so kind and communicative and patient through every step of the process. I will miss him every day but knowing that the people at the hospital loved him so much made a terrible situation so much better! I would not hesitate to put any of my best friends in their care in any future emergencies!

Absolutely amazing staff, I only have good things to say about this hospital. The vet techs are so professional, competent, compassionate, I could not have asked for a better group of people to watch over my son. The veterinarians are educated, answered all my questions, great interactions with them. My cat is the light of my life, and had diabetic ketoacidosis and was truly going to die if he didn't get help. This hospital is so well-equipped, ready to handle any emergency, I would not have trusted him with anyone else. I received report cards and phone calls on his status everyday, they were monitoring and doing bloodwork daily, ultrasound, everything. I only have praise for them, and will defend this hospital from all the one star reviews. My boy survived because of them, and that means everything to me. I want to let all pet owners know: be prepared for a financial emergency with your pet. Get pet insurance, Care Credit, a credit card, save money, because emergencies aren't cheap (seriously) and try to save yourself from potential heartache!
