I cannot say enough good things about our experience at MedVet tonight. Our cat, Prim, had a sudden mouth injury, and we were understandably worried. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was compassionate, professional, and incredibly efficient. They quickly diagnosed the issue—her tooth had rotated, causing her significant pain—and expertly removed it. Dr. V was amazing! Within just 2.5 hours, we were on our way home, and Prim was already back to her normal self! The level of care, expertise, and kindness we received was truly outstanding. It’s never easy when a pet needs emergency care, but MedVet made the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We are beyond grateful for the amazing veterinarians and staff who took such wonderful care of Prim. If you’re ever in need of emergency veterinary care, I highly recommend MedVet!

MedVet Cincinnati Introduce
Welcome to MedVet Cincinnati, a distinguished "Pet Hospital" located at 3964 Red Bank Rd, Fairfax, OH 45227, USA. MedVet Cincinnati stands out as a provider of advanced veterinary care, specializing in emergency services and a wide range of specialty veterinary disciplines. This introduction aims to provide local pet owners with a detailed understanding of the environment, services, features, and overall ethos of MedVet Cincinnati, drawing upon the information available from customer reviews.
The environment at MedVet Cincinnati is described by customers as professional and efficient, particularly during times of pet emergencies. The focus appears to be on providing prompt and effective care in a setting that, while dealing with stressful situations, aims to put both pet owners and their animals at ease. The emphasis on efficiency suggests a well-organized facility equipped to handle urgent medical needs without unnecessary delays. While the aesthetic details of the hospital environment are not explicitly mentioned, the positive feedback regarding the team's ability to manage stressful situations calmly implies a well-structured and supportive setting.
The core services offered by MedVet Cincinnati revolve around emergency and specialty veterinary care. Emergency services are a critical aspect, as highlighted by a customer whose cat, Prim, experienced a sudden mouth injury. The review praised the team's swift diagnosis and efficient treatment, including the expert removal of a rotated tooth. The ability to diagnose and treat such issues rapidly underscores the hospital's capacity to handle urgent and unexpected health crises in pets. The fact that Prim was back to normal within a short timeframe speaks volumes about the effectiveness of their emergency care.
Beyond emergency services, MedVet is known for its specialty veterinary services. While the specific specialties offered at the Cincinnati location are not detailed in these reviews, MedVet as a network typically includes specialties such as surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and critical care. It is highly likely that MedVet Cincinnati offers a range of these specialized services, providing advanced care for complex medical conditions that may require expertise beyond general veterinary practice. These specialties would be supported by advanced diagnostic equipment and a team of board-certified veterinary specialists.
A significant feature of MedVet Cincinnati is the exceptional quality of its veterinary professionals. The review specifically mentions "amazing veterinarians" and highlights the expertise of Dr. V in handling Prim's dental emergency. The positive outcomes and the speed of recovery indicate a high level of skill and competence among the veterinary staff. The hospital's ability to provide expert diagnosis and treatment is a key differentiator.
Another standout feature is the emphasis on customer service. Multiple reviews commend the team's compassion, professionalism, and the way they interact with both pets and their owners. One reviewer noted that "they literally treat every single person like family," emphasizing a personal and caring approach. This ability to provide comfort and support during stressful times is invaluable in emergency veterinary care. The staff's gentle and reassuring manner with pets also contributes to a positive, albeit often under difficult circumstances, experience.
The reviews also touch upon the financial aspect of MedVet's services, with one customer acknowledging that it "is expensive but worth every penny." This suggests that while the cost of emergency and specialty veterinary care may be higher than routine care, the level of expertise, service, and positive outcomes justify the expense for many pet owners, especially when their pets face serious health issues. The transparency and clear communication regarding costs are not explicitly mentioned, but the overall positive sentiment suggests that clients feel the value received aligns with the investment.
Promotional information is not provided in the customer reviews. Emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals typically do not rely on promotional offers in the same way that general practices or retail establishments might. Their focus is on providing critical and specialized medical care when needed. However, MedVet as a larger organization may have resources on their website or through direct contact that could provide information on payment options, insurance information, or any specific programs they might offer. Local users in need of emergency or specialty veterinary care should prioritize the quality of care and expertise offered, and MedVet Cincinnati appears to excel in these areas.
In conclusion, MedVet Cincinnati is a highly recommended "Pet Hospital" in Fairfax, OH, specializing in emergency and likely a range of specialty veterinary services. The environment is geared towards efficient and professional care, particularly in urgent situations. Key features include the expertise of their veterinarians, the comprehensive services offered for critical and complex medical conditions, and the exceptional customer service characterized by compassion and a family-like approach. While the cost may be a consideration, the positive outcomes and high level of care are deemed "worth every penny" by satisfied customers. Mar 08, 2025 · Meghan PowellThe expertise, the services offered and the plain ol fantastic customer service experience. They literally treat every single person like family and the way they interact with and treat the pets is the real winning key. It is expensive but worth every penny. Being there is never for a pleasant reason it seems, but they have an uncanny ability to take a stressful situation and put you at ease, be able to calmly manage your pet so they are at ease and provide you with the best possible service and treatment.
Mar 15, 2025 · Rick NaegeleThank you to all the staff for taking such great care of our boy Slinky! Every one was very nice. The assistants and Dr’s that cared for Slinky called both days giving us updates on labs, their concerns - what was top priority and how he was doing. Went into great detail and explained everything very thoroughly. Kirsten - who d/c Slinky was amazing in explaining all the medication, going over the care plan. Thank you, MedVet staff!
Nov 15, 2024 · Katie HerznerI cannot say enough good things about the team at MedVet. Over the past several months, they have provided exceptional care for my 3 year old Border Collie, who has been battling epilepsy and PLE. Their expertise, patience, and compassion have been truly unmatched. It’s very comforting that they take the time to arrange personalized / themed photo shoots and send them to us via text as well, while our fur babies are under their care for an extended period of time. Special thanks to Dr. Schindler and Kirsten Reed on the internal medicine team and Dr. Krasnow on the neuro team. Most recently, my wife and I unfortunately had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put our 13 year old Australian Shepherd to sleep. We chose to do so at MedVet, and the level of kindness and empathy shown by the staff during such a heartbreaking moment was beyond what we could have hoped for. They gave us the space we needed while also ensuring Bailey’s passing was as peaceful as possible. Special thanks to Dr. MJ Verkinderen. A few days later, we received a heartfelt card from the internal medicine team, and it was clear that they genuinely cared - not just about their patients but about the families behind them as well. The level of compassion and kindness meant the world to us. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that truly goes above and beyond, both in medical expertise and compassionate care, I highly recommend MedVet. They have made a lasting impact on our family, and we are forever grateful.
Feb 23, 2025 · Chravis EmI am deciding to give two stars because of two conflicting experiences, about 4 years apart. The first time we brought our dog in, he was quickly diagnosed and cared for. The surgery required was quick and reasonably priced. I would’ve given them five stars at the time for sure. Unfortunately, this most recent visit has been very different. We have paid over $7000 with no cure or treatment to show for it. Our dog is a senior now, and he’s been dealing with a recurring cough. They originally did x-rays and sent us home with a laundry list of 6-7 medications. About 10 days after we started those, the dog started coughing harder, and now began vomiting. We took him back in, waited five hours while they examined him, and were told he seems to be better. I paid again, took him home, and within an hour the vomiting and coughing began. He couldn’t eat or drink anything without immediately vomiting. They told us he would need to be brought back in. We brought him back in, and they decided to mark him as critical and keep him hospitalized for two days. We picked him up this morning after they assured us he “was doing beautifully, and hadn’t vomited and was very interested in food”, etc. We paid yet again and now that he’s home he’s thrown up multiple times, is disinterested in food, and we feel like we’re back at square one. Beyond frustrating.
