Vet is so rude! Takes pleasure in knowing that you don’t have enough money to help my cat! She told me ,: you don’t even have $500.00! As it was I used my grocery money to pay for my cat! $155.00! 6 months ago she changed $70.00. Now it went up to $100.00. Just to walk in the door! Extremely rude! No need to be condisending!

Welcome to Medford Pet Clinic
Medford Pet Clinic, situated at 391 Main St, Medford, MA 02155, USA, functions as a local "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing veterinary care for animals in the Medford area. For appointments or inquiries, the clinic can be reached at (781) 874-9650 or +1 781-874-9650. As a facility operating within the "Pet Hospital" category, Medford Pet Clinic aims to offer a variety of services and goods necessary for the health and well-being of pets, catering to a range of common veterinary needs.
The classification as a "Pet Hospital" indicates that Medford Pet Clinic is equipped to handle various aspects of animal health, typically including routine check-ups, preventative care, diagnosis of illnesses, and treatment of common conditions. This category often encompasses facilities that provide a broad spectrum of medical and surgical services, although the specific depth and breadth of these services can vary between clinics. For pet owners, this designation suggests a primary care facility where they can bring their pets for general health maintenance and initial assessments of health concerns. The services and goods typically available at a Pet Hospital include vaccinations, parasite control, basic diagnostic tests, common medications, and possibly some minor surgical procedures.
The environment at Medford Pet Clinic, based on available customer feedback, presents a mixed picture. While one long-term client describes a comfortable experience for their cat with Dr. Olga and her team, implying a generally positive and reassuring atmosphere for the pet, another review points to a significantly negative interaction regarding financial matters. The latter suggests that while the clinical setting itself might be functional, aspects of client communication and empathy, particularly concerning costs, can influence the overall perceived environment. A positive veterinary environment typically strives to be welcoming, calm, and reassuring for both pets and their owners. This includes not only the physical space but also the demeanor and communication style of the staff. The comfort level of a pet, as noted by the client whose cat feels "comfortable with Dr. Olga and her team," is a crucial indicator of a good environment, suggesting staff are able to handle animals in a way that minimizes stress.
Medford Pet Clinic, as a "Pet Hospital," offers a range of services essential for the care and treatment of companion animals. Based on the provided customer reviews, their services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Routine Check-ups and Wellness Exams: Essential for maintaining a pet's overall health, these annual visits typically involve a physical examination, assessment of general health, and discussion of any concerns with the pet owner.
- Vaccinations: Administration of necessary vaccinations to protect pets from common and potentially serious diseases.
- Spaying/Neutering: A common surgical procedure offered, as evidenced by a client mentioning their cat being spayed at a related location. These procedures are vital for population control and can offer significant health and behavioral benefits to pets.
- Dental Care: The clinic provides dental services, including dental cleaning and more complex procedures like dental removal, as noted by a client whose cat underwent such a procedure. Good dental hygiene is crucial for preventing a range of health issues in pets.
- Treatment for Skin Conditions: As indicated by a client's cat being treated for a skin rash, Medford Pet Clinic addresses common dermatological issues in pets, diagnosing and providing treatment for various skin ailments.
- Diagnostic Services: While not explicitly detailed, a "Pet Hospital" typically utilizes basic diagnostic tools such as in-house laboratory testing (for blood work, urinalysis) and potentially radiography (X-rays) to aid in diagnosing various conditions.
- Prescription Medications and Preventative Products: Offering a range of necessary medications, flea and tick preventatives, and heartworm medications to keep pets healthy.
These services demonstrate the clinic's capacity to provide ongoing care for pets from a young age through adulthood, addressing both preventative needs and specific health concerns as they arise.
Drawing from the customer reviews, several key features and strengths of Medford Pet Clinic can be identified:
- Experienced and Trusted Veterinarian (Dr. Olga): Dr. Olga is highlighted by a long-term client as a consistent and trusted care provider over eight years, across different locations. This indicates a strong client-veterinarian relationship built on continuous positive experiences and a high level of comfort for the pet. Her experience spans routine care, surgery, and specific treatments, showcasing her versatile capabilities.
- Comfort for Pets: The fact that a long-term patient "feels comfortable with Dr. Olga and her team" is a significant strength. A pet's comfort in a veterinary setting can greatly reduce stress during visits, making examinations and treatments easier and more effective. This suggests a gentle and skilled approach to animal handling.
- Comprehensive and Consistent Care: The clinic's ability to provide a continuum of care, from spaying a young cat to yearly check-ups, dental procedures, and treating acute conditions like skin rashes, demonstrates a comprehensive approach to pet health management over an extended period. This consistency across different locations (Charlestown, Revere, and Medford) suggests a cohesive team and shared standards of care.
However, it is also important to acknowledge an expressed concern regarding client interaction and financial communication. The review citing a "rude" and "condescending" interaction about costs points to a potential area for improvement in client relations and transparency regarding fees. This suggests that while medical care may be effective, the client experience can be negatively impacted by perceived insensitivity around financial constraints.
The promotional narrative for Medford Pet Clinic is primarily shaped by direct customer experiences, which offer both positive and challenging perspectives:
- The most compelling positive testimonial comes from a client whose cat has been under Dr. Olga's care for eight years. This review highlights the clinic's ability to provide consistent, quality care over a significant period, spanning various locations. "Dr. Olga and her team have been taking care of my cat for 8 years! From spaying her when she was 6 months old at the Charlestown location, to her yearly check up’s, a dental removal last year at the Revere location, to treating a skin rash earlier this year and now we’re back for a dental cleaning. We’ve always been treated very well here and my girl feels comfortable with Dr. Olga and her team! Very happy overall with the care my baby receives here." This extensive positive experience underscores the clinic's commitment to long-term patient relationships and comprehensive care, demonstrating a consistent track record of good service and effective treatment across multiple veterinary needs and locations.
- Conversely, another review provides a significant point of concern. "Vet is so rude! Takes pleasure in knowing that you don’t have enough money to help my cat! She told me, 'you don’t even have $500.00!' As it was I used my grocery money to pay for my cat! $155.00! 6 months ago she changed $70.00. Now it went up to $100.00. Just to walk in the door! Extremely rude! No need to be condescending!" This feedback, while critical, serves as an important piece of promotional information by highlighting an area of concern that prospective clients might consider. It points to potential issues with financial transparency and the demeanor of specific staff members when discussing costs, which can significantly impact a client's perception of the clinic's service.
In summary, Medford Pet Clinic operates as a "Pet Hospital" providing essential veterinary services including routine care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, dental procedures, and treatment for common ailments. The clinic benefits from the long-standing trust and comfort expressed by clients with Dr. Olga and her team, who provide comprehensive and consistent care over many years. However, potential clients should be aware of varying experiences regarding financial communication and staff demeanor, as highlighted by one review. The overall impression is a facility that offers necessary medical services, with client experience being influenced by individual interactions.

Nov 26, 2024 · Tanja FPLEASE never go to this pet clinic no matter how desperate you are. Just got charged $300 dollars for them to not even do anything CLOSE to what I came there for (just a quick shave to my pet)
Mar 21, 2025 · Molly OConnorI love Dr. Olga and her staff at her pet clinics. She cares about the animals and the costs a way more reasonable than any other vet in the area
Mar 09, 2025 · Norma EganThis review is for both Medford & Revere pet clinic (same company) I told Medford pet clinic several times I DID NOT want his tail shaved at all. They said ok and booked it for Revere. This is not for "styling" reasons. This is strictly to get his matted furr off as it hurts them and he refuses to let me brush him. I was going every year to the winchester location with no problem but they stopped doing it there. I just feel so bad they ruined his tail. Can't complain to them on the phone cuz can't even get through to them!!
