Oct 01, 2024 · Samantha VenturaVery caring and Professional. The people at the front desk are always very helpful knowledgeable and respectful. The Dr Bruce Mcdavitt and Dr Sarah Maggert have always been on time when doing a farm visit. I have had two successful foals born and two more on the way. I highly recommend their small and large animal practice
Oct 20, 2024 · Debbie MasuokaMy dog threw up over night. Then the next morning he threw up his breakfast & the kicker was three rounds of green bile. Donna said come straight over & she began diagnosing. She was looking at strange symptoms & odor. She kept testing for an answer & wouldn’t stop. Turned out that he had a urinary tract infection & then the next morning another result showing giardia. Very strange for a dog that has always been healthy. Without her diligence we would have stopped at a urinary infection and he would still be very sick!!! Great vet!
Sep 20, 2023 · White RiverI had been taking my dog Derek to McDavitt Veterinary Clinic for over 2 years. He has been on medication for many months. This morning (Tuesday, March 7), around 8:00, I called to let the clinic know that Derek was now unable to stand on his own and I believed it was time for him to be euthanized. Derek would have been 13 on April 10. Their response was that they would have to call me back so I sat and waited for the call as the tears were dripping down my cheeks. Finally, they called me back to inform me that they were very busy today and they could not assist me. I then took a deep breath and thought that I would simply wait until tomorrow to get this procedure completed. However, before I could say anything, they then informed me that they would also be too busy for the rest of the week. They basically told me to take care of this myself because they didn’t have the time to assist me. I hope that no one else has to go through something like this in the future. Putting a loved dog down after almost 13 years is painful. The least you should expect from your vet at a time like this is compassion. Not at this place.
Mar 08, 2023 · Louis VitaleIncredibly disappointed and will be filing a formal BBB complaint. I had used them for years and was very happy. Have definitely gone down hill. Staff is RUDE-What’s left of them at least. The second to last visit I’d had them out left me with a wishy washy diagnosis and the vet lied. I was told at the end of that same visit that the follow up visit would not be billed and low and behold, they charged me. (The vet who performed the follow up visit did not come out only to care for my animal, they were already due to come out to the farm for other horses.) It is not my problem that your staff have different information regarding your business practices but considering the experience I’d had with the diagnosis, I would have gone and gotten a second opinion somewhere else and maybe even been able to fix the issue. There were multiple phone calls made to the practice, never got a call back to discuss billing, never received an actual bill either. All my bills over the years were prepaid in advance and aside from this one scenario, had no outstanding balances. My finances were always in good standings and have had no reason or inability to pay. When I would call, I would be told that money was owed for the follow up visit and that what the vet had said during the visit was wrong-I owed them for the visit. 7 months later they refuse to release my animal’s vaccination records. I’ve called numerous times requesting them. I never ever would have called them back out for a follow up if I knew I was going to be charged. As previously stated, I would have gone with a different provider to get a second opinion. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people. The care being provided is not the same as it used to be. ***update So they finally released my records but are still trying to hold me accountable for their staff’s errors. As if permanent damage due to the care provided (or lack thereof) by a vet that is no longer in their practice isn’t enough to deal with. I’d always had such a high regard and positive opinion for Duane and Bruce. This whole experience has been incredibly disappointing. I understand there are bad seeds out there and people make mistakes, but that is a staffing issue and should not be passed down to the consumer.
