I've went to just about every vet in Lebanon and I found McAteer to be my favorite vet by far. He and his staff is respectful and knowledgeable. He's helped my cats through several issues and he did a wonderful job spaying my new dog. I recommend him to everyone at work.

Dr. McAteer was beyond Wonderful! His staff was happy and helpful! The room, office area, and hall was Very Clean!! It was very easy to talk to the doctor and he did not rush our visit. He complimented our litter of English Bulldogs and that really meant a lot to my husband and me. We have found our new vet and have been bragging to family and friends about him and his precious staff. Paws and Kisses from the farm! :)

THE FRONT DESK people are soooo rude. His staff members need an attitude adjustment. They are so nonchalant and apparently they can be rude to you, and turn it around on you. It’s a joke. NOTHING like my last appointment. My cat, KiKi ,has a broken leg (we think). She has only ever seen Dr. McAteer. She has a chart with him. She is an Indoor/outdoor cat. She is a client of Dr. McAteer. My husband tried to walk-in yesterday to have her seen they were booked so they set him up for an appointment today at 8:30 am. 5/14/14z Kiki jumped out of the carrier and ran in a drain as my husband was putting her in her carrier. So he was running late. He gave a courtesy call to the front office and she acted completely put out by it. He was just giving a courtesy heads up. He was just letting her know that he was running a few minutes behind for the 8:30 appt. He got there at 9:05 and she said sorry we are booked. He asked her to give him the next available appt. She said she had no appointments available. He said so you are going to let me leave no appointment. His tone of voice was frustrated but he was not yelling. I called up there to talk to them and make sure she realized that my cat had been seen there (Dr. McAteer might not recognize my husband since he has never been there) and she said he is here now. She puts her hand on Kiki’s chart and realizes that my husband actually had an appt. So she went to the back to talk to the vet and came back and said that he suggested a walk in (somewhere else)…. My husband said so he is refusing to set up and appointment and she said that’s what he said. I don’t feel like Dr McAteer would say that but the girl had already turned an appt into so much drama. She had laid the phone down while I was still connected so I heard it all and she says to him “you aren’t gonna yell at me.” He didn’t yell. He had frustration in his voice since her lack of wanting to help him started when he called to tell them that he was running a few minutes late for the appointment. She picked the phone back up and hung up on me. She treated my husband like white trash. She realized when I was on the phone with her that my husband did, in fact, have an appt. So she backtracked and started so much drama instead of just owning her mistake. My husband called me in tears (but I heard most of it because I was on the phone). So I then called back up there and spoke to someone who isn’t 17 years old and was helpful but, she was hateful too. I said I would like the name of where Dr. McAteer recommended she said your husband was yelling. I said he wasn’t yelling I was on the phone with your office the whole time. She said “shut up” and hung up on me. This was a different receptionist. WOWWWWW they claim to care about animals. The young girl upfront turned it into drama when it wasn’t. We just wanted my cats leg to be looked at or x-rayed. SOOOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL and disrespectful to someone who actually had an appt. NOT HELPFUL, don’t care, didn’t offer a solution, and turned it around on my husband when she made a mistake by not realizing he had an appointment. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. They care nothing about your pets. Don’t be 20 minutes late to your appt or they will just turn you away! UNREAL!

They were AMAZING. Got us in quickly and our sweet grandson Happy Jack was so at ease with them. He walked right with the nurse and Dr McAteer was gentle and loving with our guy. I appreciate their attention to his well being and making sure my daughter was at ease with his visits and understood everything they did with him when she took him in. We had Happy 15 years and so thankful we found him a good and loving dr. He was his mommys "service animal" but really her 1st child and like i said our grandbaby. He crossed the rainbow bridge on 2/26/2022. If your looking for a great vet. We highly recommend Dr McAteer and his staff. They are HAPPY JACK approved.
