Welcome to Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC
Welcome to Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC, a Pet Hospital located at 4640 S Meridian Rd, Hudson, MI 49247, USA. Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC provides veterinary services to the Hudson, Michigan, community and surrounding areas. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences appear to vary significantly, offering a mixed perspective on the clinic's environment, services, and overall approach to patient care.
One customer review describes the clinic environment positively, stating it is a "clean and quiet office with exceptional staff." This suggests that some clients find the physical space to be well-maintained and conducive to a calm veterinary visit. The mention of "exceptional staff" further implies a positive interaction with the support personnel at the clinic, contributing to a favorable overall impression for this particular client.
The same positive review also highlights Dr. Taylor's thoroughness and communication style, noting that he is "Very thorough, truthful, nonjudgmental with a great personality" and that he "educates you on the issues that brought you in!" This indicates that some clients appreciate Dr. Taylor's detailed approach to veterinary care and his willingness to explain medical conditions to pet owners. The reviewer's high recommendation after only one visit suggests a strong initial positive impression of the clinic and Dr. Taylor's professionalism.
However, another customer review presents a starkly contrasting experience, describing Dr. Taylor as "all rude" and "not professional." This negative feedback raises serious concerns about the veterinarian's demeanor and interpersonal skills during consultations. The reviewer specifically details an interaction involving their Rottweiler, where they felt treated with disrespect. The account alleges that Dr. Taylor dismissed the owner's request for a muzzle (despite a phone agreement), yelled at the owner, and physically grabbed their hand while instructing them on how to handle their dog. Such behavior, if accurate, would be a significant departure from professional standards of conduct in a Pet Hospital setting.
The negative review further criticizes Dr. Taylor's diagnostic approach, stating that he allegedly dismissed the possibility of mange without proper examination, attributing the symptoms to fleas despite the absence of evidence. The decision to prescribe steroids based on a "guess" for allergies, without a thorough diagnostic process, also raises concerns about the thoroughness of the examination. The reviewer's account of feeling pressured to remain calm for the dog's shots, followed by their decision to leave due to discomfort with the interaction, paints a picture of a highly unsatisfactory veterinary experience.
The financial aspect of the negative experience is also detailed, with the reviewer mentioning a charge of $124.57 for an examination, bio disposal, unused shots, and steroids, despite not proceeding with the intended treatment. The reviewer's subsequent positive experience at another local veterinary clinic, Sherri Bowers, where they received an examination, requested shots, a tag, flea and tick treatment, and "RESPECT" for a lower cost and in less time, further emphasizes the dissatisfaction with their encounter at Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC.
Based on these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive picture of the typical environment and services at Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC. While one client experienced a clean and quiet office with thorough and educational care from a seemingly personable veterinarian, another client reported unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, a questionable diagnostic approach, and a negative overall experience. This significant disparity suggests that individual experiences at this Pet Hospital may vary considerably.
Given the limited information and the conflicting nature of the available reviews, it is difficult to ascertain the full range of services offered at Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC. However, as a Pet Hospital, it is reasonable to assume they provide general veterinary services such as wellness examinations, vaccinations for dogs and cats, treatment for common illnesses and injuries, and possibly other services like dental care, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing. The mention of "shots" and "steroids" in the negative review indicates that the clinic does offer medication and potentially injectable treatments.
There is no information available regarding any promotional offers or packages at Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC. Pet Hospitals may sometimes offer discounts on certain services or wellness plans. To inquire about the specific services offered, the clinic's policies, and any potential promotions, it is advisable to contact Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC directly at (517) 448-2102 or +1 517-448-2102. Direct communication will allow potential clients to ask specific questions and form their own impression of the clinic based on their interaction.
In conclusion, Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC in Hudson, MI, is a Pet Hospital that has received both positive and strongly negative feedback from online reviewers. While one customer praised the thoroughness, communication, and clean environment, another reported unprofessional and disrespectful treatment, along with concerns about the diagnostic approach. These contrasting experiences highlight the importance of individual interactions and the potential for variability in the quality of care received. Local pet owners considering Matthew T. Taylor DVM, LLC should be aware of these differing perspectives and may wish to contact the clinic directly to gather more information and assess if it aligns with their needs and expectations for their pet's veterinary care.

Dec 02, 2024 · Tamara M BernadineHe's around all rude. Not professional. And because he don't like/or dont know how told be around rottweilers, he treated my dog, my daughter & myself with disrespect. He kept over talking me by yelling at me. Told me my 103.2po. Rottweiler don't need a muzzel (that I requested on the phone when I made the appointment), that I needed to calm down & bear hug my dog while he examines. Also grabbed my hand roughly while yelling at me "that I'm not doing it right!" He also told me since he didn't see that my dog had mange (bc he wasn't seen by him for it) that it wasn't mange & had to be fleas...yet no sign of fleas...then gives me steroids for allergies, which when I asked "why" (bc it was his guess) (he never did anything but look at him) he responded with "Bc it will help!" After telling me that if I'm not calm, my dog won't be calm when he gives the shots, I told him no I'm leaving. Charged $124.57 for an examination, bio disposal (the shots he didn't end up using & steroids. Left there & went to the vet down the road...Sherri Bowers...$98 for examination, 2 shots(requested), tag needed, flea & tick treatment && RESPECT.... IN LESS THAN 20MIN.
