My fur baby had been treated for a couple of years for feline aides add sugar diabetes. The doctor was working to keep his diabetes under control play sugar level was around 400. So I took him to another doctor for a second opinion and then discovered with a new doctor he had a malignant growth liver and pancreas. It was about the size of a baseball. I do not understand how one person could miss it where is the new vet founded within 5 minutes. As a result we had to put him down. 馃槶

As a dedicated pet hospital, we aim to provide comprehensive veterinary care for your animal companions. The reviews offer a mixed perspective, which we will address to give a balanced introduction to our services. One review expresses deep sorrow and questions the oversight of a significant health issue in their pet, while another highlights the thoroughness and care experienced during an examination. We aim to provide a clearer picture of what you can expect from Martinsburg Animal Hospital as your local pet hospital.

While the reviews do not extensively describe the environment of Martinsburg Animal Hospital, we can infer that as a functioning pet hospital, we maintain a facility suitable for examinations, treatments, and other veterinary services. We are committed to providing a clean and comfortable environment for your pets during their visit. The positive review mentioning a "full body exam right in front of me" suggests an open and transparent approach to how we conduct our examinations, allowing pet owners to be involved and informed. We strive to create a welcoming space where you can feel at ease while your pet receives the necessary care.

Based on the limited review information, we can gather some insights into the services offered at Martinsburg Animal Hospital. The mention of managing conditions like feline AIDS and sugar diabetes indicates experience in treating chronic illnesses. However, the negative review points to a missed diagnosis of a significant growth, suggesting that while general care is provided, diagnostic accuracy is an area where experiences can vary. On the other hand, the positive review praises the thoroughness of a "full body exam," indicating that comprehensive physical assessments are part of our service offerings. As a pet hospital, we likely provide a range of services, including but not limited to general check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostics, and treatment of various medical conditions. For a complete list of our services, we encourage you to contact us directly.

The features of Martinsburg Animal Hospital can be gleaned from the contrasting reviews. A point of concern raised is the potential for missed diagnoses, which is a critical aspect of veterinary care. Conversely, a notable positive feature is the commitment to thorough examinations, as highlighted by the reviewer who appreciated the full body exam conducted in their presence. This suggests a practice that, at least in some instances, prioritizes a detailed assessment of the animal's health. As a pet hospital, we aim to provide attentive and comprehensive care, and we take all feedback seriously as we continually strive to improve our services. The willingness to perform a full body exam, as mentioned in one review, indicates a commitment to being hands-on and detailed in our approach to understanding your pet's health.

This place truly cares. Took my dog somewhere else for a lump. Didn't even touch her. Here, they gave her a full body exam right in front of me. Loved it

They should have shut down when the DR retired. They used to be the best, now they're just awful. Every time you call they answer the phone like you are interrupting their day and do their best to make you feel stupid for having concern for your pets, but only after making you wait on hold for an average of 7 to 10 minutes. If you truly love your animals I recommend taking them anywhere but this place

Sadly I had a horrible experience. The new Dr who took over 2024 ,did a full physical and gave me health certificates on a litter of kittens like I've always had done for the past 5 yrs of breeding. Only with in the same week of passing their screenings, a few clients tell me their kittens had ear mites ( I had to inform the others of the situation, and apologize) . It made me look unprofessional and like a back yard breeder. I still don't understand how he missed all 5 kittens. Not done yet... so I shared my thoughts and experiences about their new services on a local page so others would know. And one of the vet technicians Jennifer Smith. Had back lashed at me sharing all of my personal client information . I reported it to the Dr's and both dismissed missed the issue. The current employee Jennifer Smith took my personal information about my animals added in some fale information before sharing my vet record to the public, in retaliation to my complaints on social media. Extremely unprofessional. Follow up.. I've had ear mites in the past abd during the kittens exam before they got their health certificates, the old vet who owned that practice had notified me and we treated the babies. The people who contacted me back about their kittens having ear mites from a week two 2 weeks later , had taken their kittens in for a standard physical, and their vets noticed it. Most people don't request a mites swab unless they notice, because no one would think to get one done, that's why we do a physical and if the Dr notices something, then they test for it. Which says.. this Dr didn't notice it within the whole litter, but it was noticeable enough for 3 different vets to request an mite swab. And it's very inappropriate for them to keep the staff member who harrased me on social media sharing fales information publicly about my encounters at their establishment. I don't know any other company who would tolerate such behavior, unless they agreed with how that employee acted.Lastly I had let the ear mites thing go, simple honest mistake, I'd just request the Dr look extra hard in the ears next time. How ever there won't be a next time because after 3 nice phone calls requesting for medication to be refilled I was told to find another vet. Apparently I had bugged the Dr even though I never got to physical speak to him. It was all through the receptionist a third party relaying the information. As most rescues ,vets, vet techs, and breeders know. Coccidia is very common and in majority of all cats. I have a breeder who is a shedder, this was already established by the old vet that owned that facility.I had to relay that information to the receptionist to tell the current Dr that she's exhibited signs so I needed the medication. She always sheds during weening stages. I'd already had past vet records showing that. The old vet had said to get a refill when she was weening the kittens. This vet refused to acknowledge any of the past vet records and requested I bring in a fecal. As you know you can run 7 fecal before one comes up positive( been there done that) I tried explaining that to the receptionist while also dropping off a fecal. The results came back negative so he didn't prescribe the medication. That weekend when his practice was closed I had to rush two kittens to the er because they exhibited signs of Coccidia. That vet said absolutely it was coccidia, prescribed the medication but only for the kittens not the mother. And told me to share the vet records to the Dr and to get mom's rx from him , they said i shouldn't have an issue especially since that vet office had prescribed it 3x before through chew ( by the old Dr mind you) I relayed the info to the receptionist, she tells me no we can't and we feel you need to find a new vet. FYI those two kittens who exhibited coccidia died because I couldn't properly treat them like I've done in the past .He could careless about the health of the animals, it's what's convenient to him, and all about the $$$, don't want to listen to any other vets.
