Mars Hill Animal Hospital

I absolutely cannot recommend Mars Hill Animal Hospital more! The facility is all around clean, inviting & they obviously care about your animals! We saw them when we had issues with our sweet pitbull mix last year. She was nearing the end of her life and the doctors were so comforting but also gave us hard information that we needed to hear. It was a great experience considering it was such a sad and difficult time. We just took our new puppy Zeus to get his initial consultation here. The front desk staff (specifically Rosa) was so kind and got us scheduled so quickly! We saw Dr. Gross and he was one of the best vets we have ever seen. He was incredibly informative and very reassuring with all the concerns we had. We didn’t feel pressured to do anything we were uncomfortable with and actually left feeling very empowered to help support our new puppy! Overall, I cannot recommend this clinic more! 10/10 best in Athens!

I was recommended to go here to board my dogs. My husband called to ask for a price to board and they said 50. Now when we showed up, the woman behind the counter was very rude, said they are very busy, we needed to make an appointment to tour the facilities to board our animals, but first had to talk to the head person and must see animal papers before any touring. We showed her the papers, then kept saying she had to speak to someone in the back about boarding the animals, then said it was 59.50 to board. After we said someone said 50, she said well we have new people working here, and the other person said we just went up on our prices. So which is it? But I was totally turned away from her attitude, that made me think this facility don’t want any animals to board. I won’t be back. First impression is the last impression. I told her her attitude sucks, and won’t be back! Whatever kind of day you’re having, don’t take it out on your customers! We are what’s keeping you in your job! She definitely needs to correct her attitude.

I never felt at home with the previous vet office I had used for my cat for two years. I rarely saw the vet, and if I did, it was very briefly. Mars Hill was a good experience from scheduling to departure. The office staff was efficient & even helped me set up my online pharmacy order. The vet spent time explaining recommendations & the reasoning behind them. Even when my cat misbehaved, everyone was kind & offered a solution that worked (a little 😴 ease).

Very happy with Mars Hill Animal Hospital! Excellent staff and Vets! Staff is always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure my four-legged family member is taken care of! Easy access to facility. The grounds are always well kept and clean! I highly recommend MHA for your four-legged family member's care

Dr. Crowe saved my 11 year old dog when others told me to put him down. His caring, understanding, knowledge and professionalism is amazing! I believe it is Jessica that took care of Dakota for both surgeries and she is fantastic! Front desk staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. I happily drive two hours for such amazing care for my pup at heart.
