Maple Small Animal Clinic

Rating Maple Small Animal Clinic is easy. It's worth the highest rating and more for some of the best and brightest veterinanians, vet techs, aids, front desk folks, and staff. I have taken my dogs there for decades and have ALWAYS come away knowing my dogs have been in great hands. All the dogs I've had over the years have loved every employee, joyfully seen any of the vets, bound into my car when I tell them where we are going to Maple. I am grateful to everyone there for their knowledge, work ethic, warm heart, and the comfort my pets feel every time we go there. I recommend them to anyone I know who has pets!

These guys are the best. Very thoughtful and sweet. I bring all 3 of my doggin’s to MSAC and we are treated so kind. They take time to explain everything. We never feel rushed. One of my dog’s is reactive and they make sure to clear hallways and let me know if other dogs will be passing by. Amazing staff.

My last visit basically changed Stella Pearl's life. Although Dr. Walkenhorst has always given her the most thorough examinations and the overall best of care, she recently suggested that I add a generic MiraLAX to her food when I told her that her solid output has always been only about 5% of her total output, saying that's a common sign of constipation. This changed her life! I started putting 1/8 teaspoon of ClearLAX (Equate) in her wet K/D as recommended, and now she's more regular than she has ever been over the two years I've had her.

I have been going to Maple Small Animal Clinic since I adopted a rescue they were boarding decades ago. Many dogs have followed in the years I have been a client, initially with Dr. Zeller, whose wonderful daughter Emily has followed in his footsteps. I have seen and like all the vets there, although Dr. Hill, who charms and cajoles all my dogs, is my primary. Janet is the chihuahua whisperer who works magic when it comes to pedicures for reluctant patients. Hannah is also a dog charmer assisting the vet. The plus is that most staff members have been with the clinic for a long time. The front desk is efficient and amazing. I would give a shout-out to each pet-loving member of the Maple staff if there were room.

Maple got us in the day I called, and skinny isn’t your every day house pet.. they were very gently and knowledgeable with her, got use patched up and referred to a place that would be able to fix her up and not break our bank account in the process!
