Welcome to Malone Don DVM

Malone Don DVM is a veterinary practice located at 1191 W College St, Pulaski, TN 38478, USA. With phone contact at (931) 363-7575 and mobile phone +1 931-363-7575, this facility operates within the "Pet Hospital" category, providing veterinary care to the local community in Pulaski. While specific detailed information about the extent of its services or its history is limited in publicly available online sources, it appears to be a practice primarily focused on general veterinary care for companion animals.

The environment at Malone Don DVM can be inferred from the varying client experiences. One positive review suggests a "great service" and an "inexpensive" approach compared to other veterinarians, implying an environment that prioritizes affordability and efficiency for some clients. This could suggest a more streamlined or no-frills setting compared to larger, more specialized hospitals, which might contribute to lower costs. However, another review provides a contrasting perspective, detailing a misdiagnosis, concerns about staff competence, and issues with billing for services not rendered. This suggests that the environment, at times, might face challenges related to diagnostic accuracy, communication, or administrative transparency. The general atmosphere, therefore, appears to be that of a local, potentially smaller, veterinary clinic aiming to provide accessible care, though experiences can vary.

Based on the limited information directly associated with "Malone Don DVM" at this specific address, and considering its classification as a "Pet Hospital," the services offered would typically encompass general veterinary care for small companion animals. This would likely include:

  • Pet Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups are fundamental to preventative care, helping to maintain overall pet health.

  • Vaccinations: Essential immunizations for common canine and feline diseases.

  • Basic Diagnostics: While a review mentioned concerns about specific diagnostic tests, a general veterinary practice typically offers some form of diagnostic services, such as physical examinations, potentially basic in-house lab tests, and imaging like X-rays (though accuracy and necessity were points of contention in one review).

  • Treatment of Illnesses and Injuries: Addressing common ailments, infections, and minor injuries.

  • Spay/Neuter Procedures: Routine surgical procedures for pet population control and health benefits.

  • General Pet Surgery: Other common surgical procedures beyond spay/neuter, as might be performed by a general practitioner.

  • Dental Care: Basic dental services such as cleanings, crucial for pet health.

It is important to note that the extent of specialized or advanced services (e.g., complex surgeries, extensive diagnostic imaging, specialized internal medicine) might be limited, given the nature of a general practice, especially when compared to larger, multi-doctor animal hospitals or referral centers.

The prominent features of Malone Don DVM, as highlighted by customer feedback, include its perceived affordability. One client specifically stated that the service was "inexpensive compared to every other vet I have tried to use," which suggests that cost-effectiveness is a significant draw for some pet owners. This could be a defining characteristic, attracting clients who prioritize budget-friendly veterinary options. The positive review also mentions "Great service," implying a positive overall experience for some. However, the critical review reveals significant concerns regarding diagnostic accuracy and transparency. The allegation of a misdiagnosis leading to the need for surgery, and charges for "urinalysis and Xray - that was not done," are serious claims that highlight potential issues with medical record keeping, billing, and communication. This suggests that while affordability might be a key feature, attention to detail in diagnostics and client communication might be areas of concern for some. The mention of Dr. Whitley Jackson in the negative review implies that there may be multiple veterinarians practicing at this location, or that Dr. Jackson was associated with the practice at the time of the client's visit.

Promotional information for Malone Don DVM, if available, would likely focus on its general veterinary services and potentially its competitive pricing, aiming to attract local pet owners seeking routine care. A practice that is perceived as "inexpensive" would naturally appeal to a segment of the market that prioritizes cost. They might emphasize their availability for common pet health needs and their commitment to the local community. However, given the contrasting reviews, any promotional efforts would ideally need to address concerns regarding diagnostic thoroughness and communication. While no explicit promotional campaigns or specific advertising messages were found, a veterinary practice like this would typically rely on word-of-mouth referrals, local listings, and perhaps basic online presence to inform the community about its services. The emphasis would be on providing accessible and practical veterinary solutions for everyday pet health issues, with a focus on core services.

Misdiagnosed my female dog, now she has to have surgery due to trusting Dr Whitley Jackson's diagnosis.. Will not be back. Also charged me for a urinalysis and Xray - that was not done, like they said it was. Found this after requesting medical record.

Dr. Malone is absolutely wonderful! We have never had a veterinarian who will tell us exactly what he would do rather than run up a large bill like so many do now. He is conservative yet if you want something he will do it. We are new equine owners and he has been so kind even when I called him at 11pm at night. It is obvious that he cares about the animals well being. I can't rave enough about him and we highly recommend him!

Dr. Malone has always been extremely helpful with my horses in every way. He truly cares and does an awesome job with them. He is very knowledgeable about large animals. I highly recommend him.

I am not familiar with this vet. But I would definitely recommend. He has the heart of an angel. A dog got hit by a car by my home, not only did he do x rays to see if the dog was able to be saved. He didnt hesitate knowing it wasn't my dog. Unfortunately the dog has a broken spine, shattered pelvis and a broken hip. She would never have walked again. He put her down. Again not knowing the owner and he still tried to save this pup.
