Welcome to Lyon Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the local introduction of Lyon Veterinary Clinic, operating under the platform category of Pet Hospital. Located at 21188 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, MI 48178, USA, Lyon Veterinary Clinic offers veterinary care for pets in the area. You can reach them via phone at (248) 550-0766 or mobile at +1 248-550-0766.

As a "Pet Hospital," Lyon Veterinary Clinic likely provides a professional setting for the medical care of animals. Based on the customer reviews, the environment is perceived positively by some, with one new customer noting their first appointment was "easy peasy" and they were "in and out quickly." This suggests an efficient and possibly well-organized clinic. The friendly and helpful nature of the staff also contributes to the overall environment, making it a welcoming place for pet owners. While one longer-term client expressed dissatisfaction with a perceived decline in customer service, particularly regarding communication and medication, the positive feedback highlights aspects like ease of appointments and the demeanor of the staff during visits. A typical pet hospital would include examination rooms, possibly surgical suites, and areas for diagnostics and patient recovery.

The services offered at Lyon Veterinary Clinic, as indicated by the reviews, include general veterinary care, consultations, and medication provision. Dr. Schultz is mentioned by name and is praised for answering questions and giving great suggestions, indicating a focus on patient education and proactive care. The ability to easily make appointments and get medication refills is also highlighted as a positive aspect by one reviewer. However, the negative review points to potential issues with the process of obtaining necessary medications, suggesting that while the intention might be there, the execution could sometimes fall short. As a Pet Hospital, it is reasonable to expect a range of services including routine check-ups, vaccinations, treatment for illnesses, and potentially surgical and dental procedures. The availability of medication refills implies an in-house pharmacy or a system for prescribing and dispensing medications.

Features of Lyon Veterinary Clinic, based on the provided feedback, include a friendly and helpful staff, efficient service (at least for new clients), reasonable pricing, and a knowledgeable veterinarian, Dr. Schultz, who takes the time to address concerns and offer advice. A notable feature mentioned is a welcome gift (a cute coffee mug) for new customers, suggesting an effort to create a positive first impression. However, a potential area for improvement, as indicated by the negative review, might be communication and the process of handling medication needs for long-term clients. Overall, the clinic seems to aim for a positive and efficient experience, particularly for new clients.

In terms of promotional information, the mention of a "cute coffee mug for being a new customer" acts as a small welcome gesture, potentially encouraging new clients to choose Lyon Veterinary Clinic. While no other specific promotions are mentioned, the positive experience reported by a new customer, including the friendly staff, efficient appointment, reasonable pricing, and helpful veterinarian, serves as a strong positive recommendation. For local users who are new to the area or looking for a new vet, this positive initial experience could be a significant draw.

To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Lyon Veterinary Clinic's services, environment, and current practices, local users may want to contact them directly at (248) 550-0766. It is not that I disagree, it was the lack of communication and hassle it caused. It shouldn’t be difficult to get my pet the medication she needs. We have been faithful clients for the last 10 years and I have witnessed first hand the decline in your customer service in the last few years. I have had a senior dog before (with cancer) so this isn’t my first rodeo. It is best we part ways and I wish your practice nothing but the best.

This place, the vet, and the staff are amazing! Everyone is extremely polite, professional, and easy-going. Dr. Henderson is a true gem! She truly went above-and-beyond to help my dog with all of his health needs. It is obvious how much she cares for animals. I wish I would have found her sooner.

I’ve used this clinic for two years. Aside from the times when charges weren’t clearly explained ahead of time (more than one option could have been available, yet automatically got the most expensive lab panel), my latest interaction has made me decide to go elsewhere. My nearly 16-year-old dog is on pain medication for arthritis. Their online vet store has this on back order and I can’t get it. They offered to get it in directly at the clinic, which took three days longer than they told me and cost $50 more than mail order, something they didn’t mention upfront. I was offered basically a shoulder shrug and no help getting my dog his medication in a way I could afford it. The vet wouldn’t consider a cheaper medication, and I made multiple calls on my own to find a supplier. She grudgingly called in the BRAND name to Costco after telling me she didn’t have the time or staff to call in prescriptions. That just made it more expensive again. I ended up ordering from an online pharmacy that called the clinic for authorization and they were told sorry, I have to drive to clinic, pick up a written copy, and mail it in myself. Since my dog’s care is such an inconvenience to this clinic, I can’t see returning. I’ve now gone out of my way twice to go to the clinic and I’m waiting for the mail-in process while my dog is in pain without his meds.

Dr Henderson and her staff are AMAZING!!! We first went to her on an emergency (when our own vet wouldn’t take my dog in) bc my 3yo doodle had a seizure. They got her in immediately! Dr H was soooo calm and patient with us being so scared. She took the time to explain everything and she took amazing care of our little Georgia. We switched over immediately to Dr H being our new Vet for all 4 of our animals! I’ve never called and had anyone be rude or not helpful. They are all truly the nicest staff I’ve ever met anywhere! It’s been a very emotional time with our pet that is family being newly diagnosed with epilepsy…but I can call 5 times a day with questions and they’re so patient with me and Dr H even calls back to make me feel better. You truly will NOT get better care for your fur babies anywhere else! They care for your pets, but they care about you too and know you need just as much attention. I feel so blessed that we found Dr H and her staff! I’m actually so happy my old vet was a jerk bc it led us to new family. Love you Dr H and all the staff!! Thank you for everything you do for my insanity (LOL) and for our sweet Georgia!!! God bless you all for loving what you do so much!! You’re ALL making the world a better place!!!! Much love, Georgia and her family
