Our dog had a crisis of reverse sneezing at 11 pm around april, 2018, and that was absolutely horrible because we couldn't understand what provoked that. She was tense, couldn't sleep or relax because every time she was moving, the sneeze was back. We called another hospital that told us to give her an anti-histamine, similar to Benadryl. That calmed her down but didn't solve the sneezes. We went to the vet that normally she goes and the answers to our questions were vague. The only suggestion was to wait with the medicine or to do a scope back in her nose that would cost us a lot, it would be very invasive (with anesthesia) and maybe wouldn't solve the problem. We were still in the dark. One week later the sneeze didn't stop. Every time she walked or was getting excited she had some situation and got depressed. So we decided to go to Lucerne Vet Hospital because we heard they could do the scope. There, Dr. Sophie Borodic took around 40 minutes to look carefully at Pandora and answer our questions. She raised the possibility that it could be nose mites and helped us to decide the better strategy. I knew it was our decision on what to do, but the amount of information and range of options she gave helped us to be confident. We treated the problem as nose mites first and the sneeze was gone. But the best part was to receive a phone call with the follow-up, asking if Pandora was better. I can tell anyone that this is a place that your pet is treated with respect.
