Little Neck Veterinary Clinic

Last year, I was recommended by a friend to this clinic, and after seeing all the 5 star reviews on Google, I decided to take my furry baby here. Let me just start off by saying that the prices are very decent, and the receptionists are super nice and helpful. HOWEVER, if you truly care about your dog/cat, you may want to consider finding another vet. First of all, you won’t be able to actually see or speak with Dr. Kim. All consultations of your pet’s conditions are done through the receptionist, whom I believe is also the vet assistant (?). Your dog/cat will be taken to a small room while you are kept outside in the waiting area the entire time. You won’t know what is going on. If there’s anything, Dr. Kim would let his assistant know, who acts like a middleman between the pet parent and the vet, and you will be then notified in the waiting area. Secondly, I am very skeptical of Dr. Kim’s professionalism. My dog has always had retained testicles, which I was notified about by numerous vets. During our visit with Dr. Kim, we reported this situation to the vet assistant so she can put it on my dog’s file and inform the vet about this, and at the end of our visit, the vet assistant told me that Dr. Kim had examined my dog again and wants her to tell us that my dog’s testicles have already descended, so there is no need for additional surgery to remove the testicles that were supposedly embedded in his body. Yay…. However, after we switched to another, more reliable vet, we were informed right away that what was said to be “testicles” by Dr. Kim is actually just a gland, and that the real testicles still remain in my dog’s abdomen. This is further confirmed by another vet who performed my dog’s neutering and cryptorchid surgery. Now, my question is, which professional vet cannot tell the difference between a gland and a testicle??? If we had Dr. Kim perform my dog’s neutering surgery, what will end up being removed from my dog’s body?? I really don’t know….. In the end, I want to restate that the employees of this clinic are really awesome and helpful, and that the prices for the services are beyond reasonable. Nonetheless, I don’t feel confident enough in trusting the vet here whom I’ve never even met. I took my dog to this clinic once and never again.

Dr Kim, you are an amazing, caring man. Thank you for all you do and all you have done over the years. Thank you for your compassion for the animals that come to you. You have always made my difficult visits a little easier giving each one love and dignity..You are such a blessing and a true asset to the veterinary field. I feel very blessed to be able to turn to you and knowing all animals that come through you office are in such good hands.🙏🙏

My mini schnauser had lump removal and cherry eye surgery.Dr Kim is a Very good veterinary surgeon. Today is one week and my Lucy is perky,hungry and coming back to normal.

I have been bringing my dog there for a few years now and we (me and the dog) are very happy. Dr Kim is a very knowledgeable veterinarian and can always solve my dog's health problems. Making appointments are very easy, the clinic is always clean and the the staff there is top notch and super friendly. It is very clear that everyone who works there LOVES animals. They take the time to interact with your pet and make them feel comfortable.

I have been taking my dog to LNV for the past 7 years.. and I'm extremely grateful for their dedication to my pet's well-being and friendly atmosphere. Today, I was helped by vet tech Sarah.. she was super attentive to my concerns and patiently listened to every detail about my pet's conditions.. I've visited other veterinary clinics (when LNV is unavailable to see my pet) that have been extremely dismissive of my pet... but LNV never disregards my concerns and actively looks for ways to help my pet feel better! All of the vet techs are super kind and Doctor Kim knows what he is doing. I trust them 100% :) If I could give this vet a 10 star, I would. Thank you, Little Neck Vet!!!! edit: also, for those complaining about the bill... every other veterinary clinic in NY that I've visited are 10x the prices that Dr. Kim offers. LNV offers good prices for the quality of their services.
