My dog Lucy had TPLO surgery at LifeCare and we couldn’t recommend them enough! We traveled an hour and a half to them to get the best care for her! The whole staff was very kind and knowledgeable. You can tell they really care about the animals! Lucy just had her 8 week follow up and is doing so much better! Thank you again to everyone at LifeCare and especially Dr. Ahluwalia for fixing our girl!

We came to LifeCare after our Chihuahua puppy broke her lil paw and we were in urgent need of an ortho vet. From the amazing receptionist, to the rock star techs and our hero, Dr. A, every visit was a positive experience, both for us and our lil pup. Absolutely recommend LifeCare. 10/10. 5 stars aren’t enough. They deserve the entire night sky.

Life Pet was amazing, my dog is one year post op from a torn CCL surgery and he is doing fantastic! I highly recommend this facility for all of your pet needs! He’s the brown pit in this pic.

I’m not sure where to start. I had been taking my dog here for a few years since we moved to south riding. He seemed to like them and I thought “hey they might be a good place.” Until my experience this past week. My dog started making sounds that started off, last Wednesday, to be like a growling sound and as the day passed turned into a gasping for air sound. As if he couldn’t breathe through his nose. By Friday morning, we took him to see Dr. Murphy, who he had seen in the past, and she recommended we do multiple imaging and blood work + whatever checkups are included in a wellness visit. We agreed and were told it’s going to take 1-2 hours, fine. We get a call and they tell us everything is looking great nothing came up that would be a concern and I wasn’t too confident in that response but was told “isn’t that good news?” So we obviously feel this is a professionals advice and take him home. As the night went on, the sounds got worse and we started recording to send videos and Dr. Murphy the following morning advised that it was normal and we need to give him cough medicine. We literally told her he hasn’t been able to eat or drink since Wednesday and she still said he’s fine and we will need to give him cough medicine and a humidifier. We went to pick up the medicine and tried to give it to him as advised. Later that night, we saw blood dripping from his mouth and immediately took him to the ER and our boy didn’t make it. We were told he had a mass growing in his throat that was blocking off his airways and that’s what made him so weak they couldn’t even move forward with a plan of action. Somehow after multiple scans and tests, Dr. Murphy’s negligence and misdiagnosis caused our boy to suffer the last few days and granted we may not have been able to fix it but at least we could’ve made it easier than having him reach a point of bleeding from his mouth and gasping for air. The last hour of his life he was fully intubated and needed 100% oxygen even for our goodbyes. The point I’m trying to make is we spend a lot of time with our fur babies and if we think something is wrong don’t just cough up the money and believe what they say. Clearly, she didn’t do her job and check everything as medical professionals. After his passing, Dr. Murphy shared there was no way of her knowing this was wrong and she never checked his throat because he bites. As a veterinary professional, you should know how to handle an animal that comes in pain and reacts that way or should’ve let us know then. The ER in Vienna was able to record and show us the massive tumor in his throat within minutes of being there vs. hours, scans and $$$ spent here and just to be told our squealing dog was ok. Oh and waiting 3+ days to get a returned call after leaving several messages telling them this is what happened and no remorse or even accommodation for the negligence on there end. Save yourself the horror and be careful where you treat your fur babies!
