Horrific experience here. We’ve been seeing Dr. Gross for a few years and took our 1 year old oriental short hair because she wasn’t eating, breathing very rapidly and acting different. He listened through the stethoscope and did some other checks and said he couldn’t find anything wrong and recommended a chest X-ray. He also said the fast breathing could just be normal for her. A few hours later we take our cat to the animal hospital because we knew there was something going on and as soon as the new vet listened through the stethoscope she was able to hear fluid in her lungs. We then did the X-ray and had the fluid drained and found out she had a heart disease. Within a week we had to put her down because the disease progressed so quickly. Before we put her down she was on two medications which we were getting from Dr. Gross. When we told him what happened, he claimed he told us to get a chest x ray at the original appointment, not believing he could have heard anything in the lungs like the second vet did. There was no empathy from him and he tried to shift all the blame on us for not doing the chest x-ray. This experience really made me question the vets qualifications as he was unable to hear the fluid in her lungs as the other vet did in a matter of seconds. Since then we have switched to a new vet for our 3 fur babies and will never return here.

Based on recent customer reviews, experiences appear to vary. One customer reported a negative experience concerning the diagnosis and treatment of their young cat. They described a situation where their cat presented with symptoms of not eating and rapid breathing, and after an examination, a chest X-ray was recommended but not immediately performed. Subsequently, the cat was taken to another animal hospital where fluid in the lungs was immediately detected, leading to a diagnosis of heart disease. Despite receiving medication from Dr. Gross, the cat's condition rapidly declined, resulting in the need for euthanasia. The customer expressed dissatisfaction with the initial assessment and lack of empathy received.

Another customer shared a positive experience, bringing two indoor cats for check-ups. They noted that the staff and doctor were nice and appreciated the lack of pressure to administer additional vaccinations, given their cats' indoor lifestyle. This customer recommended the practice.

It's important for potential clients to consider these differing experiences when choosing a veterinary care provider for their animals.

We needed to bring in two of our cats in for a check up, because they hadn't one in almost a year. We needed two separate appointments since we can't catch both at the same time. The staff and doctor were very nice, with no pressure to give me her any shots. Our cats are only indoors, so I don't see the need for any more vaccinations. I would certainly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a vet for their animals.
