We’re satisfied with our pets care. We brought our cat in that I thought was a male (turned out to be a female.) and the spay went very well. I saw one review stating this isn’t low cost but every vet I called wanted $250-$350 for spay/neuters so $80-$90 is low cost. My oldest daughter wants to be a vet and they even sent her photographs and videos of her cat being spayed which really inspired my daughter she’s going to be a future vet and I loved how they supported her curiosity and interest. We bring our second cat for a spray in January. Update: Brought our second cat Mudd in for her Spay January 14th. Everything went just as well but I knocked off a star due to lying about our cat having fleas to charge us $15. We live in an apartment and our cats are indoor only. Our cats have NEVER had fleas and I’ve had Mudd for five months now. Only reason I said yes to the charge was I assume someone else there had a flea infested pet there and they were wanting to try and treat all the animals there.

Welcome to Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic, a dedicated "Pet Hospital" located at 3411 N Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601, USA. You can reach them at (423) 850-4071 or their mobile number +1 423-850-4071. Based on feedback from pet owners, this clinic focuses primarily on providing affordable spay and neuter services for cats and dogs, alongside other basic care such as nail trims and pain management.
While specific details about the clinic's environment aren't extensively described in the provided information, the positive experiences shared by customers suggest a clean and functional setting focused on efficient and effective surgical procedures. The emphasis appears to be on the quality of care and affordability, making it a popular choice for pet owners seeking these essential services.
The core service offered by Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic is, as the name suggests, spaying (for female animals) and neutering (for male animals). Reviews highlight the successful outcomes of these surgeries, with one customer specifically mentioning a positive experience with their cat's spay. The clinic's focus on these routine surgeries likely allows them to streamline their processes and offer more competitive pricing compared to full-service veterinary hospitals.
Beyond spay and neuter procedures, the clinic also provides additional services such as nail trims. One customer mentioned receiving a nail trim along with their dog's neuter for a comprehensive and affordable package. Furthermore, the provision of pain medication post-surgery indicates their commitment to the comfort and well-being of the animals under their care.
Several features of Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic stand out based on customer feedback. Firstly, and perhaps most notably, is the affordability of their services. Multiple reviewers explicitly mention the low cost of spay and neuter procedures compared to quotes received from other veterinary clinics. One customer stated that the $80-$90 cost for a spay was significantly lower than the $250-$350 they were quoted elsewhere. Another highlighted a $105 total cost for a neuter, nail trim, and two doses of pain medication, further emphasizing the cost-effectiveness of this clinic.
Another unique and commendable feature is their approach to engaging individuals interested in veterinary medicine. One reviewer shared a heartwarming experience where the clinic sent their aspiring-vet daughter photographs and videos of her cat's spay, which deeply inspired her. This level of support for future professionals showcases a caring and community-oriented aspect of the clinic.
However, one review also brought up a point of concern regarding an unexpected charge for flea treatment. The customer, whose indoor-only cats had no history of fleas, questioned the $15 charge, suggesting it might have been a precautionary measure for all animals visiting the clinic. While this was the only negative point in the provided reviews, it's worth noting for a balanced perspective.
Regarding practical aspects, it's mentioned that appointments can be booked out for 2-3 months, indicating the clinic's popularity and high demand. This suggests that while the wait might be longer, many pet owners find the services worth it due to the cost and quality of care. E-collars are also mentioned as an additional cost ($15 if purchased at the clinic), with the option for owners to bring their own if sourced elsewhere, offering some flexibility.
In terms of promotional information gleaned from the reviews, the primary draw of Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic is its affordability for essential pet sterilization surgeries. The positive testimonials regarding the care received and the smooth, manageable experience further enhance its appeal. The clinic positions itself as a reliable option for pet owners seeking budget-friendly spay and neuter services without compromising on the quality of basic care.
In summary, Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay & Neuter Clinic appears to be a valuable "Pet Hospital" within the Johnson City, TN community, particularly for those prioritizing affordable spay and neuter services. While detailed information about the facility's ambiance is limited, the customer reviews speak positively about the surgical outcomes, the cost-effectiveness, and in some instances, the clinic's engagement with pet owners and aspiring vets. Potential users should be aware of the possible waiting times for appointments and the additional cost for items like e-collars if needed. Despite a minor concern raised about a flea treatment charge, the overall sentiment from the provided reviews is one of satisfaction with the care and the significant cost savings compared to traditional veterinary practices for these specific procedures.

Jan 18, 2025 · Rhayanna ChandlerI couldn’t be happier with the experience! The cost was incredibly affordable—just $105 for the neuter, a nail trim, and two doses of pain medication. Since my dog is highly active, my primary vet also prescribed trazodone for $20 to help keep him calm during recovery. Even with the added prescription, the total cost was still less than a fourth of what my regular vet quoted me! While appointments are usually booked out 2-3 months, the wait was well worth it. E collars are also an additional cost $15, but if you order one off amazon they also let you bring that at drop off. My dog is healing well, and I truly appreciate the care and attention he received. I would highly recommend Doug and Judy Spay and Neuter Clinic to anyone looking for affordable and reliable pet care. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience so smooth and manageable!

Apr 03, 2024 · Jessica HicksStaff was very friendly but the actual work the do is poor at best. I got my dog spayed and not even 24 hours later I was at the emergency vet having to get her incision stapled shut due to this clinics poor stitch work.
