We had a great experience at Ivy Pets! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and treated our sweet pup with so much care, even when she was scared. We felt like we were in great hands as first-time pet owners. We are already excited to go back!

Dr. Alex and the staff have excellent bedside manner, as illustrated across the reviews. That’s why it breaks my heart to leave this review. Dr. Alex recommended bloodwork for our senior dog, and we followed her suggestion to also do an ultrasound, which came back fairly normal. We were hoping the bloodwork might provide some insight that could help our dog in her final days, so we decided to delay euthanasia in the hope of discovering something that might help. When I called on Monday to follow up (bloodwork was done Thursday before) on the bloodwork results, I was informed that Dr. Alex was out of town. I explained that we were expecting her to review the results with us, but I was told I could speak with another attending vet. While the other vet attempted to interpret the results, we asked if we could speak directly with Dr. Alex. Unfortunately, I was told that this would not be possible. A few days later, I received a call from Dr. Alex—but by then, my dog had passed away. I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of communication and the delay in following up, especially during such an emotional and urgent time. I understand that things happen, but the unavailability and lack of professionalism were very upsetting.

Dr. Berg is the best, most dedicated, caring vet in New York (if not the world!). She is unique. She spends quality, hands-on time with our Teaser, learns everything about him, and treats him like her own, if not better! She takes the time to answer every question you might have and leaves no stone unturned, all the while making him feel comfortable and loved. We travel out of our way to see Dr. Berg, and it’s worth it.
